I don't see Robert glamorizing anything, that's not his style, the last time I talked to him. Sure, his theories are his worldview, but that's true of anyone.

Very true... It's also very accessible to a beginner.

You may also want to read the OBE journals you'll find here on the site, especially the first pages if you are interested to read about how it started for different persons. You'll find similarities but also differences, and I find this great to enrich one's view about OBEs.

Thank you everyone this has all been most helpful Facing my fears, knowing this is all a process to be enjoyed, there is no rush and to work on my heart chakra...all helpful and appreciated. Would any of you recommend websites, books etc. that would not be over glamorizing an OBE and astral projection? I would like to know more about what it really is as maybe this would also help me relax into the experience. Thanks again

Maybe glamorizing isn't the best word. More like putting your fears under the microscope so much that it is the only thing that you can see is what i meant. Sometimes you may come across reading something like that in the form of a projection experience or thought and it can plant a seed in you as you are trying to project. I think i have a few of these in my MAP journal.

As long as she doesn't water the seed, she will be alright
Its as you say, sooner or later, she will have to learn how to confront her fears. If one is curious, even only slighlty, I think it's almost impossible to avoid all the fear-driven material we can find here and there. Reading as much as possible from as much different sources as possible may be a good way to learn how to put everything we read into perspective, as the fear-driven material will then be outweighted by many other sources.

And she can see that people that have had fearsome experiences get over them and enjoy the process anyway, and eventually these experiences stop being fear driven.
