I enjoyed listening to your video and agree that it is easy for spiritual or magic-related groups to disavow others. Part of my joining this forum is to expose myself to ideas outside the group I am part of.
However, I do not agree that all spiritual guidance must be free of charge. While there are many groups that do not take any fees, there are some people like Jason Miller who provide private consulting and mentorship on the side for a fee. I do not see any issue with this. If someone has put the time in and is an established member of the magic community, then I do not see an issue if they decide to take on multiple students for a fee to help support themselves and offset the time spent teaching each week. The same can be said for the mentorship programs offered through Astral Dynamics.
On the other hand, there are few people who I would consider paying for mentorship. I would still exercise caution when selecting someone to teach who also requests payment.
