Now, I don't much believe in orbs; I tend to chalk them up as dust on the camera. However, they are a bit of fun.

We're furnishing my stepchild's bedroom, and took some photos in the bedroom today.

Look how busy it got around her! (I cut her out of the picture for safety reasons) She was lying on the bed smiling at the time, thrilled to get a new bed.

Look at the box I made in the upper right... to me it looks like a pair of little faces, making little gasps. And check out the orb just to the right of that, with what looks like eye shape, with distinct little circles in it, as well as the other orb nearby. The orb I boxed below looks like it also has two round dots in it, like big wide owl eyes.

While it's perfectly possible there's dust on the lens, we took other photos seconds apart and they either had orbs in them or nothing at all. (It got progressively busier in the sequence)

Now this one is probably a camera anomaly.. but there's a pyramid over my other stepdaughter, as well as an orb here. (http://photobucket.com/albums/f15/demorie1/?action=view&current=weird.jpg) In the next photo (http://photobucket.com/albums/f15/demorie1/?action=view&current=weird2.jpg), you can see an orb below the water bottle and a fan shape above the stepdaughter.

I had one of the kids take a photo of me on the bed, and while there were only a few orbs in the pic, I got a pretty good closeup of this bad boy. (http://photobucket.com/albums/f15/demorie1/?action=view&current=orb.jpg) It appears to be a "profile" shot of the lil guy, with its "eye" looking towards me on the bed.

Mostly I'm starting to wonder if my camera's just malfunctioning... some of this stuff seems too angular to be phenomenon.

Here (http://photobucket.com/albums/f15/demorie1/?action=view&current=diamond.jpg) we have diamond shaped orbs as well as whatever the heck is going on above it. It just seems to be a messed up photo, but I was intrigued by the consistent diamond shapes of the orbs.

Uh.. don't mind the picture of my fridge. It's for a meme.

Note: My home isn't haunted. I would know if it was. I'm guessing that if the orbs are real, they're related to the children, who don't live with us. When they were very young, they had a poster that they claimed "fairies came out of."

One explanation given for the diamond shape is the effect of the camera lens iris shape. In particlular in low light and/or high optical zoom. A search using orb, iris, camera will turn up some longer explanations.

I took some great orb photos (similar to these) in the mouths of caves at alderley edge. I also took some great bright blue ones above graves in our local graveyard. But I've also taken some floating above my sink in the kitchen at home. In hindsight, all were located in damp places. I know is an old argument, but maybe this photo suggests that you need to change your bed clothes...

sorry....that was a joke...i'm gonna see if i can find these cave ones a i took.

I have also seen orbs with my own eye(s) that have no mechanical flash to light up dust particles.
