Liquid Mountaineering is a new sport which is attempting to achieve what man has tried to do for centuries: walk on water. Or to be more precise: running on water. We are developing the sport from scratch. By accident we found out that with the right water repellent equipment you can run across bodies of water, just like a stone skimming the surface.

Pretty cool. Don't know if they are faking it though. But it should be possible, right? I will try it this summer!

Well, what little I saw looked like a guy running into a shallow pond and then jumping in the deeper part of the water. You can do this for miles in the beach in Mississipi. I guess we need a physicist to tell us if the laws of physics allow us to do it- it's a question of the direction of your mass going forward vs. gravity. (There's a name for this but I forgot.)
