Hey All,

I was just thinking. In Astral Dynamics Robert stresses that one of the most important factors to successful conscious projection is the "body asleep/mind awake" trance state.

Daily practice to attain this state is recommended. But would it be faster and easier if you went to a hypnotist to put you into this state and teach you to induce it easily and at will yourself?

Has anyone tried this? For more of the advanced members here, do you think this is a good or bad idea?

Thanks in advance!!

William Buhlman suggests learning self-hypnosis.

It says to e-mail here if you have questions for him: info@mach1audio.com

I can't quickly find it on his web site, but I read it in one or both of his books that I read.

Thanks for the link. I just occurred to me that hypnosis could be a useful tool to easily and reliably enter a solid trance state. Once there, fully alert and conscious, you could do some body loosening and some exit techniques and project a lot easier.

I was actually thinking the same thing the other day.I was at the library and found a book called."Effective Self Hypnosis, pathways to the unconscious".byC.Alexander Simpkins,Ph.D.It is very interesting.I am by no means an experienced member and have very limited experience with OBE.But it does talk about many of the things in AP and MAP like trance etc.just in a little bit more detail.
