Golden sun disc

okay,i had this dream 3 nights ago..

i'm in the park by my mum's house-where i grew up.it's a beautiful sunny day-the park is full of people enjoying the day.as i stroll down the path i see 4 or 5 kids climbing some trees.they are all wearing plain white masks.some are watching me,others watching the sun.they kinda freak me out a bit, staring at me,so i go back the way i came.as i walk i look up and see a bunch of clouds, all brightly coloured-pink,blue,green,yellow.they form a straight line across the sky.as i look more closely i notice that behind the clouds i can see a few planets, all alligned perfectly.i walk further up the path and turn around to look across the park, and see some more of the coloured clouds.then i notice that the sky had turned dark.an older man next to me says there's about to be an eclipse, and sure enough an eclipse happens right then.the shadow crosses the face of the sun in about 4 seconds.then,as the sun regains it's brightness,a wave shimmers across it,and it transforms into a shining, golden disc, covered in what look like hieroglyphics.
the sun-disc then sinks below the horizon, only to reappear moments later over to my right, coming up from behind the horizon, making a huge circle in the sky and finally stopping exactly where it had begun.then it comes flying down towards us,rippling as it flies, like a magic carpet.it comes down to hang in front of me,in the air, about 2 m in diameter.i reach out and hold onto it.it feels friendly, and i hear a voice in my head ask if i have found the book.i respond "no" with my mind.i then let it go,but as it flies away a piece rips of in my hand-it's golden foil, almost like paper.i fold the strip up into a small square, and put it in my mouth-this seems to me a sensible place to store it for the time being.it flies around not far from where everyone is watching, amazed at what they are witnessing.it comes back down and attaches itself to a tree(i think,it may have been some other large object, like a van or something)
it then changes from disc shape to become a flag, waving in the wind.
i walk over to it,where 2 other guys are standing infront of it.
it waves back and forth infront of each of us,and i understand it's making a choice.i tell it with my mind that i am the one it is looking for.it then responds by waving directly at me,so i reach out to touch it again.
i an sent images in my mind,symbols/hieroglyphics,and am told "you will find the book".the golden flag then folds itself into a small square, which i keep in my hand.it is covered in text-which looks a little like sanskrit, and symbols.these appear and dissappear as i look at them.i see diagrams,of what i don't really understand, but they seem familiar.in amongst the symbols i see an ohm, which i recognise, but assume that i'm seeing it because i've recently started doing yoga.
does that make it a lucid dream??i'm able to think and relate things to my waking life??
anyway, with the golden cube in my hand,i walk away, hoping that no-one else saw or understood what just happened.one of the other guys from the selection follows me for a bit, trying to talk to me,but i know he's only after the cube so i quickly leave him behind.
now at the top of the hill i follow the road along to a row of houses, where i expect to turn right.but as i look along the road, the row of houses slide out and across the road, rumbling and shaking the ground, blocking my way.also, the houses are now 4 storeys high, and derelict, covered in ivy, broken windows, obviously not having been used in many years.this seems strange to me so i stop and have a seat on the grass by the road, where i am joined by 3 girls-1 of whom i recognise from work, tho we aren't really friendly or anything.i sat with them and tried to decipher the text and symbols.some of the text became ligible, and i saw a symbol repeatedly appear, and realised i had to go look for this symbol somewhere.
we all got into their car and drove into the street with the derelict buildings.all the streets were the same-completely run down, covered in plants, empty buildings all around.as we got deeper into this ghost-town,i looked for signs on walls, and eventually found the symbol i had seen earlier.it appeared on the side of a building when i looked at it.
i went inside, only to find a luxurious hotel lobby.in the centre of the room was a small altar/podium.on this was a series of symbols,4 of them, all looking like representations of old fashioned candlestick holders, very similar to each other, with very subtle differences.i chose the one that felt right and touched it.instantly a tiny purple covered book appeared on the altar.it was just like the golden cube-covered with ever changing symbols and text.as i held it in my hand i heard a voice in my head tell me "you will become very influential" and i recieved more images in my mind.the text and hieroglyphics on the book seemed to be in layers-on top of one another, taking turns in being visible to me. the more i looked, the more i saw.yet none of the other people with me could see anything in or on the cover of the book.

and that's where it ended.when i woke i felt elated.i wrote it all down instantly, which is something i don't normally do-tho i know i should.it really felt like i had been told something very important.
and during the whole dream, the colours,of the clouds, the golden disc, were so intense it was almost dazzling at times.

Shouldnt write them down! thats crazy! you should write every dream down, even ones that seem pointless! Why did you say that btw?

this dream is not just astral but epic and totally personal, it is packed full of messages for you, you should really work on translating it, at least the parts you can, I dont get why they use 'written' symbols in our dreams, we can never remember them right (pssst..... guys... symbols are useless )

I just recently had one of these revealing dreams myself, told me lots of things I didnt know about myself, lots of 'behind the scenes' stuff that I needed to know. Mine was easy to translate though. It wasnt crystal clear, but the first astral dream was, it took me about a year to figure it out. I think the crystal clear epic dreams are like an initiation to astral dreaming or a practice (yoga?), and theyre probably all hard to translate, partly because your enlightenment isnt yet on the same level as the dream or it was so flashy and Lord of the Rings style CGI that you have a hard time focusing on the symbolic details.

**That is interesting that you saw children hiding in the tree with simple white masks. I found 3 people hiding in a secret room wearing simple white masks. I knew they were energy vampires.

I wouldnt listen to all the "you will become very influential" type stuff, it is probably those "children" trying to get you on an ego trip so you fail, that kind of thinking can never help you, and is something we must always keep away from.

In my experience, what I felt was my house in dreams was always my self, my mind/soul etc. I just looked it up on dreammoods and they say the same. So, the houses are obviously damaged/misguided souls, people in your life, trying to stop you from making your journey. You should look within for the meanings, but if you need help, try the link below.

thanks for the reply Alaskans,
i didn't say i shouldn't write them down- i know that i should indeed be doing that,it's just that i don't,or should say-haven't been up until now.i now have a journal i keep handy for just this purpose.

yeah-the kids with masks-i got a strong feeling that they weren't friendly, the way they were staring at me made me feel very uncomfortable,it's the reason i turned around and walked away.
and the houses-it's interesting that you think they could be other people in my life trying to get in the way of my journey-i have had alot of negativity from some friends when i have tried to talk about my experiences/interest in the astral etc.

i knew this dream was very important when i woke up,i've never felt that so strongly after a dream before.

i'll take a look at the link, see if anything else comes to mind... :D

a few nights ago-i'm standing at the edge of a dark forest, where a small terrier type dog is looking up a tree.in the tree i can see a number of birds-well all i can see is their eyes and beaks, looking down at the dog.they are squawking away-obviously worried about the dog's presence.as i turn to walk away, the dog takes a few steps with me,and two of the birds come out from behind the tree.i see that they weren't in the tree as i had thought, they were only hiding behind it.they are tall, flightless looking birds-like dodos.they look like very early birds-prehistoric.as they come out from behind the tree, the dog leaps at the throat of one, trying to kill it.the dog is smaller than the bird but the bird has no defence mechanism,so merely struggles.the sound is awful to my ears-the dog growling furiously, and the bird wailing in pain.i'm not enjoying it but decide to stay and witness it,as it's all part of nature, and i've never seen an animal kill another.the dog slowly overpowers the bird, and just as it dies-the other bird tries to defend it's comrade, squawking at the dog.
the 3 animals fall to the ground and i loose sight of them in the low bushes, but the sounds of animals fighting for their lives is furious.suddenly a new sound begins-a kind of gurgling sound.when i look again i see an enormous white fish like creature has the birds, and the dog,in it's wide open mouth, and is gulping them down whole-like a snake.as the dog whelps it's final breath and disappears into the gaping maw,the white fish creature turns its pink eye to me.i'm far away enough from it to not feel afraid, but i also know that if i went any closer-the thing would have me.at that point i walk away and the dream ends.

it was a little disturbing-very dark, but i never really felt in danger during it.it all seemed quite natural, even tho these creatures seemed to be from another time..

also-the dog wasn't mine, but it did seem to know me.

from DM; "To see a dog in your dream, indicate a skill that you have ignored or forgotten, but needs to be activated. Alternatively, dogs may symbolize intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. Your own values and intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and succeed. If the dog is vicious and/or growling, then it signifies some inner conflict within yourself. It may indicate betrayal and untrustworthiness.?If the dog is dead or dying, then it indicates a loss of a good friend. Alternatively, it represents a deterioration of your instincts. Also consider common notions associated with the word dog, such as loyalty ("man's best friend") and to be "treated like a dog". "

This is mostly from the site rather than my intuition; Some inner conflict within yourself is killing your old outlooks on things. Ideas that you have had for a very long time but perhaps were flightless/dead ends (flightless prehistoric birds). I would say the dark woods is unseen mysteries, where we go to try to divine truth become enlightened etc, thats why the birds were on the edge of the woods. The white fish... fish swim through water, water symbolizes emotion 99% of the time. DM says fish means lots of various things, but new spiritual insights from your subconcious is one of them, considering the dreams you have been having, I would say that makes sense. But where is the message/lesson that you can respond to in this dream? Thats the question I always ask myself. Its only usefull to decode a dream if there is something in there for you to learn from.

"it was a little disturbing-very dark, but i never really felt in danger during it.it all seemed quite natural, even tho these creatures seemed to be from another time.."

Maybe thats it right there, you are just meant to observe this natural occasion.

I think you could be right about a few things there Alaskans.
the stuff about dogs makes alot of sense right now,i had another dream involving dogs two nights ago too.a whole litter of puppies-all different colours,in fact colours seem to be playing an important part in many dreams lately...
and new spiritual insights-well that's definitely happening.my dreams are becoming increasingly strange/interesting and seemingly meaningful of late.I've had a few that were too disjointed to remember well enough, even when i've just woken :?

Kundalini kids/levitation

so this was a short one i had the other night.also i must state that i had been suffering from flu/cold symptoms for about 4 days leading up to it.

i was in the street, outside a house we lived in as young kids.
sitting on the pavement i met 2 kids-a boy and a girl.they told me they were gonna teach me how to raise my kundalini energy.
the boy concentrated, then told me to put my hands over his head.as i did this i could feel an invisible vortex of energy flowing up out of the top of his head, like an inverted tornado, pushing upwards.
then the kids stood up and we all concentrated on a spot on the ground, putting both hands in front of us-palms downwards.
the invisible energy came up from the ground-much stronger than before.i pushed down on it-i could feel it spiraling upwards-then said"watch this!"
i leaned with all my weight on the energy vortex, and lifted my feet off the ground, levitating myself.
we stopped for a moment because some other people were around and they might see-they weren't supposed to see this.
we found another spot and raised the energy again, and this time i sat right ontop of the vortex and crossed my legs, being held up in the air about 1 metre from the ground.i could feel the energy going into me from beneath.then a few people came near and we stopped again, and i woke up.

as i woke i could feel a strange sensation at the base of my spine-a physical feeling of something being different inside my body, like there was something new in there.this feeling stayed with me as i went back to sleep, for a few more hours, and until i woke again and showered.after that it dissapeared.
as i left the house and made my way to work i suddenly realised that i no longer felt ill, infact i had alot more energy than i had had in days!!
it was a really good feeling, and made me wonder if in fact i had had some small kundalini energy raised.there was no energy going up the spine or anything-i could only feel it entering me from beneath..

oh,i'm not sure but i also had the feeling that the boy and girl might have been myself and my sister,as youngsters.they were the right age,we lived in that street a long time ago...but i can't be sure about that part..

incidentally-when i went back to sleep after this dream,i had an excellent super-hero dream where i was leaping over buildings and kicking ass with some other random super-heroes(none of whom are actual comic book heroes)except spiderman-who was battling venom on the top of a building, while i watched.it was a really good, fun dream-which is always nice.i have so many dark dreams, the fun ones really stick out in my memory.

anyway,any thoughts??

so the other morning i woke about 6.i hadn't dreamt yet(as far as i can tell) and i quickly went back to sleep.

i started to dream then - i was hanging out with a large group of friends, although some of the people in the group i didn't know, but everything was friendly.then i was alone-walking down a street, where i saw one of the people i didn't really know, and he told me that one of my work colleagues had just been beaten up,she was badly swollen, bruised and bleeding.
i was alarmed by this and wanted to go see her,but as i started to go towards her,the guy who'd told me about it-he was a very big guy-obviously strong physically-grabbed me and lifted me forcibly into the air.i struggled but there was no way i could overpower him-he was massive!
he threw me into the air and i landed on a balcony on the second floor of a building across the street.as i was flying through the air i went quite slowly, and i had a little control of where i landed-it was no problem to land on my feet.i was shaken by this,as i ahd thought he was part of our group of friends and couldn't understand why he had attacked me.
i then woke up.

i fell asleep again a moment later and was back in the same environment.and once again this guy appeared and stopped me from going where i was headed.he grabbed me,and pushed me back along the street, holding onto me.it didn't really feel like he was trying to hurt me-he just seemed to want to prove that he could overpower me.i went away and got an umbrella, and went back to him shouting "come on then" i tried to stab him with the end of the umbrella, and to swing the handle at him,but still,he was huge and nothing i did had any effect on him.
i woke up again.
i remember wondering what this guys problem was.

i fell asleep again quickly, and once again was back there-the large group once again hanging out together-all friendly as normal.then the big dude sees me and starts to head towards me,with a grin on his face.he was about to grab me again,so i shouted at the top of my voice at him"stop f#*king touching me!! stop touching me!!"
his face dropped, obviously dissapointed that he wasn't getting to have his fun any more.
then we all sit down at a long table to eat a meal-i think we're in the middle of a park at this time.
the big guy is straight across the table from me,we're eating and he reaches across to grab me,and i start to wiggle all my fingers at him, knowing that i'm casting some sort of spell on him.my fingers are covered in some purple stuff.he then starts yelling at me to stop it,like it's hurting him.he then looks really hurt, like i've really hurt his feelings or something.now he kinda seems like a child to me,and i know i've stopped him for good.

what was weird though was yesterday i saw my friend at work, the one i'd dreamed was beaten up-she had a swollen face, and she couldn't explain it!
said she'd just woken up like that.

any thoughts anyone?

Neil Templar
7th November 2007, 10:07 PM
i guess what i'm really wondering about this one is-was the big guy a neg?
i also read recently about other folk attacking people in their dreams-could that have been happening?
or was it some negative aspect of myself i had to deal with?

does anyone else cast spells in their dreams/astral experiences??

so for some reason that i cannot fathom,i decided to do some energy work before bed last night.focused primarily on my brow.after a while i felt some pressure in my brow,so left it alone, and continued in a mind awake, body asleep way..

i found myself in a lane near my childhood home.hedges line the path, leading down towards a wooded area, where the path goes thru the trees, and it gets quite dark down there.i remember it being a little scary when we were kids playing there in the twilight.
as i looked down the path towards the woods,i saw 5 shadowy shapes emerge from the darkness.i immediately hid from them and retreated..keeping an eye on them as best i could.i went round the block of houses to watch them from a different place, but they were headed straight for me when i got there.i was about to run again, when i voice told me i was more powerful than them.i didn't feel too sure, but turned to face them.at that point i realised i was lucid, and knew what to do.
i stood up straight, outstretsched my arms, and with a command from my mind, grew a HUGE pair of white wings!!
they uncurled behind my back, and i was observing this from behind at this point.then i seemed to emanate white light,i rose up into the air with a couple of strong beats of my wings, and the shadow creatures departed.
it kinda reminded me of Gandalf fending off the Nazgul in LOTR.
it was kinda strange-watching the wings unfold from my back, while observing from a viewpoint BEHIND myself, and at least 5 metres in the air.

that was the cool one, this is the strange one..

i'm not going into too much detail because there was some sexual stuff involved, but - in this dream i played 3 parts.i was an observer, and 2 different characters involved in a short scene,in which there was 1 other character who wasn't "me"(i think).
it was very strange, and a little confusing, watching 3 people interacting with each other, but all the time doing the thinking for 2 of them,or maybe all 3,i can't be sure.

what do you make of that???

okay so in recent weeks i've had 2 dreams involving lions.

in the first,i was in a friends house, and they had a small lion, about the size of a large dog.it was an adult male, just smaller than usual.it was just wandering around, like a family pet.
it kept walking around the armchair i was sitting on,and i started to feel a little worried it was gonna attack or something.
as the lion gave a little growl by my legs i jumped in my seat.
the people i was with assured me that it meant he liked me.i relaxed and next time he came by i reached out and gave his head a rub behind the ears.he loved it.
from then on we were buddies...

that's about all i remember from that one,i didn't have my journal nearby.
this morning i had a dream that i was lying on the ground tickling the belly of a lion, quite young.this time there was no fear.he was a little bit unsure-i could feel it,so i was radiating love and joy to him, constantly reasuring him with my mind that he was completely safe.it was an amazing feeling-maintaining a constant flow of love/joy energy.i could see/feel a rippling aura coming from my 3rd eye down to my heart, streaming out towards the lion.

what is it with these lions?

Huh, I had a dream about lions recently as well, that you've just reminded me of. In mine they would charge me as if to attack -- but I'd simply sidestep them, they'd run straight past and start wrestling with each other. I have only vague theories on what this is supposed to mean.

yesterday morning i had a dream,i'm sitting in the living room with someone familiar.
i look at the flor and this tiny hairy tarantula comes out from underneath the sofa, crawls across the floor and under the other seat.
i'm not too into spiders so i'm a little bit concerned.
as my concern grows,so i see more spiders, all hairy lookin tarantulas.everywhere i look more and more appear, big ones, small ones,HUGE ONES!!
as i look around the room it's like a scene from Indiana Jones.the floor, walls, everything are crawling with spiders of every size.
they don't really do anything, just crawl around slowly,or sit where they are,but i'm getting freaked out by the whole thing.
i'm never any further than 30 cms from the spiders.they are everywhere!

then it becoms hazy...

Welcome to the Temple of Doom, Herr Jones!

No, really, I see a funny dynamic at work here:

As soon as you show concern about one spider, *more* spiders appear, as if the spiders react to your emotional reaction to them. Any emotion may go wild by freaking out about having it - that can be the making of an anxiety attack, for example. Or an aggressive outburst. All these emotional landslides start small and then it all goes downhill.

Kurt Leland writes that dreams are our own uncontrolled emotions and thoughts playing themselves out. So the first negative thing in your dream keeps multiplying as your reaction to it grows:

but i'm getting freaked out by the whole thing.

Mind you, I can perfectly understand your reaction, but I think that beyond the obvious content of the dream you actually observed a deeper rule of the dream environment. Your emotional reaction molds the environment and drives the dream. Maybe this can lead to more lucidity and control in the future as you can pick up that pattern and either stop it early (learning a skill of emotional calm for real life, too) or observe it, recognise and identify it and become lucid when you hit the conclusion "Emotionally reactive environment => I'm dreaming!"

Take good care,
Oliver

You'll probably be doing a lot of fighting. I've had to kill/compete against hordes of 'monsters', some were very big and scary (epic battles!). They're usually symbolic for negative aspects of the psyche, if not, then theyre something else you dont want. So by killing them or beating them in a competition you are removing them. You dont have to beat them violently but you might as well, because they dont mind cheating at games.

i almost didn't want to post this but it was way too strange to not get some feedback about..

a couple of nights ago, this is what i dreamt..

i'm with some guy, can't remember who.he has these two dogs with him,whippets/greyhound types (a little like santa's little helper from the simpsons)
anyhoo, nothing remarkable is happening, when one of the dogs begins to take a sh*t.
what comes out is like a HUGE cocoon, which starts to writhe, then split open and some freaky lookin caterpillar beast emerges! this thing is HUGE,about the size of a large household cat's body!

now as if that wasn't wierd enough, the second dog starts to do the same thing, lays a cocoon, same thing emerges.
then dog no 2 starts again, only this time,as the cocoon,or what looks like the cocoon emerges..we realise that it's actually the dogs insides coming out!! it's disgusting!

then the owner has to physically push his dogs insides back into its cavity..
all the time the huge caterpillars are wriggling around on the floor..

My wife occasionally has dreams like that.

She is easily grossed out, so she is therefore always thinking of things that can gross her out. I think there is this subconscious thought that manifests her dreams thusly: "ooh, that is so gross, the only way that could get grosser is if _____ (fill in the blank) happens" then that happens, she has the same thought, and eventually she wakes up dry heaving out of being so grossed out.

i'll spare you guys the details.

i reckon you're right Oliver, and fighting is never my first choice of action.it's not my nature.

especially in this situation - the spiders were manifested by my reaction to them.
i could blast them and they'd be gone, but my reaction the next time would still be fear, then violent action.
that's not the way to go about it.
i have to learn to control/ignore the reaction as it happens, then pick up the first little spider and put him safely out the window or something. :)

I'm not getting the Battlestar Galactica reference - the original movies or that original lame TV series or that way more lame new TV series? ;) Ok, ok, I'm a geek.

Ever heard the phrase "the genie is out of the bottle"? Trying to push that things back into the dogs reminds me of that - an extremely awkward way that I actually see not having much of a chance to succeed.

Caterpillars (you chose the word, so it should actually have significance no matter what it turned into) denote change and transformation. Unfinished transformation. During the process of transformation "ugly things may come out". ;)

And there is surely not much point of trying to revert that process - would you actually want to shove those wriggling things back into the dogs? Not an appealing thought either.

So - transformation may get ugly. You may resent it and even want to revert it. Unknowns can happen. Transformation digs deep and "turns your inside out". What you find within comes to the surface.

Also note: Unfinished business within is often referred to as "old sh*t". But when that "sh*t" comes out it transforms into an opportunity for change - that's almost alchemical, turning the "sh*t" into gold. ;) But seriously - the same things you suppressed that now come back out as huge old problems can transform into something else - remember: Even the ugliest caterpillar is bound to become a butterfly. But you have not found yet how to transform them. You're on the verge, maybe. You have to transmute the old stuff into something new, something new IMO you don't even know yet (consciously). But your subconscious seems to know that change is about to happen.

I think it is no wonder you had dreams about gross things. Maybe you resist something that wants to be noticed, even if that means you dream about gruesome things to get your attention?

Now we need more details - did the dogs actually seem to miss the things they dumped? Or was it only the reaction of you two to think it was missing? Did the shoving it back in any good?

Take good care,

well,spot on Oliver.

transformation.
the past two months or so in my life have seen some of the most turbulent, life altering moments so far.
externally and internally.
the highs and lows have been epic, and i now feel like i've come thru the other side a different person. 8)
my spiritual development has speeded up,or i've stepped up a level of sorts.i've learned SO much!

i've managed to leave alot of "old sh*t" behind.bad habits,behavioural patterns,emotional problems.
i feel better/happier to be me than ever!
but transformation is a continual process,so sure, there's bound to be some other stuff that i've resisted leaving behind.

as for the dogs - they didn't seem to notice what was happening.even when the second one was about to turn inside out!
and as the guy pushed it back inside,it wasn't because i felt that what was coming out needed to go back in,it was simply to save the dog's life.

Korpo
5th May 2008, 02:18 PM
So, the dogs weren't in distress but you were convinced you were saving that dog's life? Remember, dream land logic. :)

I think the reaction to what was happening was to show that the same old logic (shoving it back) is just a habit. The first dog did alright, but you still insisted on shoving it back (remember, you are the director of your dreams, behind the scenes). Maybe that is a sign that this habit is still in place (resistance) in spite of what has newly come to light it does no longer make sense (dog 1 being fine even after dropping a huge caterpillar)?

What is your personal relationship to dogs and how did you feel towards these dogs?

Oliver

Neil Templar
5th May 2008, 02:29 PM
i have a very positive relationship with dogs.all dogs.
i grew up with dogs from birth.i miss having one in my life right now.

in the dream i didn't have any contact with them, they were just the other guy's dogs.
i got the feeling he was a farmer or something.

as they were laying these huge things,i was worried about them,as what was happening was obviously unusual.
and when the second one was turning inside out i was concerned for it's life.

i've been focusing alot lately on dissolving the ego.perhaps that's what's resisting the change?...

Coincidentally I'm reading a book on metaphysical bible interpretation and it gave an interesting insight- apparently in the bible dogs are representatives of earth energies- especially scavenger wild dogs. So it's possible that they represent your 'base chakra' energies, or the 'earthy' part of your ego.
Just a thought. It's just interesting that I read this last night and thought of this thread.

Neil Templar

i've never felt any sensations in my base chakra, apart from one time i dreamed about kundalini energy.
i've been wondering if maybe i have a blockage there.
to be honest i've been rather lazy with energy work in the past few months..

You never had 'monster' dreams Oliver?

I don't believe fighting your own mind is a really good way to go. It's like beating aspects of you into submission that had a reason to be there. I believe acceptance is the key.
Hehe thats what I originally thought, but you havent seen anything like my monsters. Have you ever tried giving a hug to a 80ft demon covered in 2 foot thorns? (who wouldnt listen to me btw, even though I was lucid, an outsider had to take controll of the dream) You try talking to a 40ft evil Goofy throwing walls of fire, lightning and black bugs with such furocity you couldnt imagine. Or sitting down to reason with an invading legion of thousands lead by a warlock who is running 80mph straight to you, hell bent on your assasination (was symbolic of a real attack). I've spent a whole dream trying to reason with an undead that was like jason, freddy, and gacy rolled into one, and he just ran rampant, thats when I finally resorted to violence, and the ones I beat havent come back. I think we have to fight sometimes to realise our own power and that these things are much smaller than us. If you are lucid enough to turn a 80ft monster a 2 inch monster, then thats wonderfull, but sometimes defensive magic and words dont work and you have to resort to fighting.

Korpo
5th May 2008, 08:17 PM
One thing is as unreal as the other. You basically said. Why fight then?

The Senoi, a people for whom dreams have a special significance, have a special trick when becoming lucid. They approach the dream character and demand it gives them something back. IIRC they don't fight it. They just demand. They insist until they get a token they take back into the waking world - an idea, a song, whatever. I always liked that idea.

Just because something hasn't come back does not mean its underlying source is gone. All of the dream characters of my life have never reoccurred as far as I can remember. Does that mean I have no past problems? ;)

PS - Excellent imagination at work within you. If your subconscious wants to get your attention that badly, maybe there's a better way than beating it up to find out what's behind it. That's always the most useful piece of information IMO - what is *behind* it. :)

This topic sparked my interest because even though I don't have monster dreams I do have 'repetitive' dweller experiences- which lead me to believe that the answer always depends.
In other words, if we can set aside the negs that are not self-aspects, then we can look at what these aspects represent and which ones need to be beat down and which ones are better 'tamed with love'. All the mods saw the one where he kept coming back and I kept changing the strategic defense from: a feeling of powerlessness, to anger and aggression, to reluctant love and acceptance.
Yet I've had others that I couldn't process that way- the ones that laugh at me and belittle my faith I have not yet figured out how to defeat. Perhaps there is a way that doesn't involve fighting- I'm not sure what it is yet.

I need a really high level of lucidity for that. Lucidity is one of my weakest skills. Im good at flying and doing supernatural stuff in dreams but I just think it is something totally natural, I dont usually realize im actually in a dream. Sometimes I wake up thinking the dream was real and the 'reality' I woke up into is the dream  I wish it was, its pretty aggravating having to hide who we are from normal people.

'Unreal' is so accepted by me that it's no longer a marker for lucidity. In fact, lucidity happens, but a different kind of lucidity. Like knowing that you're not the same as usual, but not really thinking you're dreaming. Awareness of a different state, but equally real.
Of course, I have come to adopt the idea that none of it is real. So it helps with coping (or at least it seems so) but not so much as to realizing I'm dreaming.
I'm sure any psychologist would be raising his/her eyebrows at what I'm saying here.

I'm not disagreeing. :) We do need our beliefs to be a little ingrained. I used to practice totally liquid belief in everything, was great for awhile, but with nothing solid you will begin to loose your mind. Besides, some things showed they were true so many times I figured I may as well partly solidify them.

Oh yea, dreams..
The other day, I was with 3 others (why am I always with someone?). We knew that we were about to go into battle, we were discussing our strategy and contemplating asking for outside help. "It's only a rank 10 ice demon, its easy" one guy said. I didnt write it down when I woke up, I was really tired and didnt really care, even though intuition was telling me to write it down. I really wish I had because when I fell back to sleep we were facing a monster made of ice that was (of course) a skyscraper. It made the town look like a playground. He could see us a mile off if we werent hiding. We knew he was close when ice started covering everything. he had this aura about 1200ft thick around him that brought the temperature down to around -60, freezing everything, including us, then dread insued and we would run for it. Thats about the extent of our valiant duel. I was at a disadvantage because my conciousness was almost totally gone. Still, we would have done a lot better if I had written it down, because then i would have realized I was about to face something and I would have prepared myself. I attempted to understand what its all about, but all I can think of is napalm missile launcher. I guess I could have offered him a mug of hot cocoa, he was probably just cold from sledding all day... if I could get that close without becoming a popsicle. (hmmmmm...... )

D.M.: "Video Game
To dream that you are playing a video game, represents your ability to manipulate others into doing what you want them to do.(no) Alternatively, it suggests that you are trying to escape and not confront the stress and problems in your real life. Consider the type of video game for additional insights.(possibly)

To see or dream that you are a character in a video game, suggests that you are feeling controlled and manipulated by others.(no) You feel that you have no control over your actions or are not taking responsibility for them.(thoughts perhaps) "
Must be the same old problem that we talked about so much "icy caves snowy nights". Anyone have a spare heart?..... <awkward silence>

last week i had a dream, it was basically the X-Men senario.
some of the humans were developing unusual abilities..

one of my work colleagues became very powerful, but couldn't control himself, so he became the villain character.
wreaking havok with his mind powers.

there were a few of us with developing powers.
i was able to focus with one breath, and go to what i called "the astral room".
i would take a deep breath, hold for a couple of seconds, then exhale, focusing my awareness, and saying the word SHIFT in my mind.
in my vision i'd see two multi coloured rings, one inside the other, made up of segments. they would flash in my vision, then i'd be in what can only be described as the real-time zone, but with full colour normal vision.

from there i could communicate with other people, mind to mind.
i was completely invisible to everyone in the "real world".
i was even able to shift to this other dimension while running along the street. when there i could do all the usual stuff - flying etc.. and could use the ability to teleport from place to place in the real world.

needless to say i beat the bad guy and saved the day, and had a whole lot of fun in the process. 8)

so it's about 10 months since i had this experience, and still it sticks in my mind for some reason.i can remember every detail like it was yesterday.
a few weeks ago a stranger requested my friendship over on facebook.
when i checked out her profile,i looked at her pics, and was stunned to see a photo of the disc in my dream!!
i've attached it,i hope it works.

i asked her about it,this is what she said -
tis the most powerful shield of Durga,a deity from India thousands of yrs ago..it does not surprise me that you saw this in the astral as did i few yrs ago a and felt very strongly that i needed Durga's protective energy-she will not allow anybody to trespass against you (in the astral & here and now) if you call upon her,but in this yantra, there are other elements that draw to you limitless prosperity wherever you need it.I feel that you saw this in the astral at a time in your life when things were not good and you were unhappy..there is no coincidence..
it is formally called a Sri(shree) Durga Devi Viso Ambe Ma Yantra, here's a lil more info that goes further than my quick reply--
Durga Yantra is a powerful yantra for attaining desires, to remove difficulties,Black magic and to conquer enemies are the special effects of this yantra. Durga Yantra bestows wealth and property and protects the person from all sorts of dangers & Black spells.
Yantra means instrument to achieve and durga yantra means powerful results.
Here is the Mantra for the "picture"--
"Aaeng Hareeng Kaleeng Chamundaye Vichche"
Here is Yantra guidelines in case you do decide to copy my pix & enlarge it and download it for your use;
To enhance more energy one can chant this mantra everyday Friday is good.

Take bath in morning ,clean your yantra, if possible put your yantra on yellow cloth ,sit on east side, light incense or diya lay fresh flower or fruits and chant your mantra for7,11,21,52 or 108 times.

To program your yantra, put yantra on left hand, right hand above it, express your wish with lots of unconditional love.

Place it on east wall in such way while going and coming you can able to see it 2-3 times a day.
Thank you for enquiring & use it in good health.

has anyone else come across this before?

this morning i had a dream where i met the coolest cat i ever encountered.
it was HUGE! much bigger than your average household cat.
it's body alone was about 1m long.
its fur was a mustardy yellow colour, with red "gloves" on it paws. (not real gloves, each paw was red, like a boxing glove)
it was clear to me that this was no ordinary cat. i could tell it was highly intelligent, like some alien species.
it was very friendly to me, allowing me to pick it up and touch it as much as i wanted.
when i looked at its claws, i saw that they were huge diamond shaped blades, too big to retract. but i didn't see them when i was handling it,only when it was lying sleeping.
it communicated with me, i think by talking, i can't remember clearly.
i tried unsuccessfully, a few times, to find out it's exact species in books and on the internet.
there were no references to be found anywhere on Earth.
this took place in a room which was filled with very advanced technology - the computer i was using was unlike anything i ever saw.
multiple screens covered the walls, with touch sensitive panels in them, and a console that was baffling to use, until with trial and error i worked out which parts to push to get the desired results.
there was a female with me, trying to help research the cat. she had no clue about it either.

at one point, (my?) two (normal?) cats, who were also two of the most beautiful looking cats i've seen, talked to me, in English, asking me how i was getting on with the big one.
i stroked them as they talked to me.
they seemed mildly amused by the whole thing. like they knew everything, but of course being cats, weren't about to give up their secrets.

there was a feeling in my mind that the cat came from South America, but it was nothing more than speculation.

the dream ended before any kind of conclusion could be reached.. :?
it was the finest specimin of a cat i could ever imagine. :D

this has been on my mind alot since the other morning, and i think i may have a possible meaning worked out -

i've recently gotten to know a woman, who i am very attracted to.
she's from Spain, owns a cat and has a very laid back attitude - very cat-like.
i wonder if the cat represented her?
the yellow colour of it's body, with red paws, was exactly the same colours as the Spanish flag.
the attitude of the cat was like her - it was lying on its back (in a very human way),relaxing most of the time, unless i picked it up.
the claws, which were metal blades, also which i remember being aware of the fact that they would be able to rip thru anything, including me,could be representing the fact that if i get involved i would become vulnerable to getting hurt by her.
tho i felt no danger at all, just a healthy respect for those weapons at it's disposal.

the cat allowed me to get close to it,just as this woman has, albeit at a very relaxed pace...
as for the new technology i had to use to find out information - could be about my willingness to "try something new" with her (ie allow myself to get involved and be vulnerable, something i've been avoiding for a while)
i dunno, maybe i'm reading too much into it,but it all kinda makes sense to me.
in the dream i was awestruck by the sheer beauty of the cat,as in real life by this woman.
hmmm... any thoughts anyone?

CFTraveler
4th August 2008, 06:21 PM
I think you have it well figured out.
Except for the bit about the spanish flag.
I wonder if you think of her as something physically beautiful and not to be messed with? Do you live close to her, or would going to visit her imply a big investment of time money and security?

Neil Templar
4th August 2008, 08:52 PM
she lives here in Amsterdam.
also, she's my tattoo artist.so she gets to inflict pain on me regularly!! lol.
she most definitely is physically beautiful,(but that's not all i'm interested in her for) and i guess at first i saw her as a little "out of my league"..
i think the vulnerable thing comes from my knowledge of how i feel about her, compared to how unsure i am about how she feels about me.she's been playing it very cool up until now, but,i am taking her out on Saturday,so i guess then i'll find out what's what eh?!..

it's also interesting that at the time,i had a feeling that South America was where the cat was from, and this woman is taking a trip to Brazil in a few months, over the winter...

another thought - could the colours be correspondant to the chakras and their related issues?...

lots of stuff going on this morning.
dreaming, lucid, popping in and out of body, phasing here and there...hours of fun.

at one point tho,i was a soldier, with two other soldiers, trying our best to evade capture by the Roman army.
the locals were helping us,but in the end we were split up,and each of us was captured.
we were reunited in a building complex-rooms and courtyards, and were among a large group of people of all ages.
we were all taken to a large room, and made to do an aptitude test.
this consisted of assembling a bunch of wooden and metal pieces,to make a tool of some sort.
it kinda looked like a large salt shaker. :?
anyway, myself and the two other soldiers were the first to complete it,and so i helped a girl to finish hers.
when i was done i went thru to another room, where i saw my two companions, among many other folk.

i had a wander around, just checking out who was around, and later found that i couldn't find my soldier buddies.
i had a thought that maybe they'd escaped.
soon we were all taken out to a courtyard, where the Romans brought in a bunch of people, and i realised what was going on.
they were slave traders, and we were up for sale.
a few tried to grab me,but i used some simple self defense moves to dissuade them from touching me. :)
i think i broke one guy's arm,so they left me alone after that!

it was strange tho, because they spoke to me in a language i have never heard before, and i responded in that language. :?

then i saw an old holy woman in front of me and went over to help her..

then the whole thing changed and i was on a modern day bus, going thru an ancient city, with temples and statues lining the streets.
the inhabitants were not all humans, some were strange looking beings, some with tentacles for hair,
like that jedi from attack of the clones with the big bug eyes.

i got off the bus at a cantina on the edge of town, overlooking the harbour, which had buildings and temples on it too.
the locals were taking photos of me as i passed them by,laughing, but still not unfriendly.
in the cantina i found some English speaking travellers, and asked repeatedly where i was.
i felt like it was ancient Egypt or possibly Greece,(two places i've never been to).
the travellers told me a few times but each time i couldn't understand the name of the place.
eventually, their friend came to pick them up,and they were about to give me a lift to the motorway, where i could hitch-hike,
but at that point my teeth started to fall out!(i hate when that happens),and i woke up.

Past life memories are usually overlayed with regular dream imagery. For example, seeing your ancient city while on a modern day bus.

The subconscious will use all memories at it's disposal to work through our daily problems. This is why these dreams seem so garbled. It is fun to sort out though.

Have you done a past life regression before? I love doing them! In a dream it is hard to tell who is who, and how they fit into your life today. But in a regression it is easy. I have solved many relationship problems with people in the past just by learning about our true histories together.

here's what wikipedia has about Durga -
The Great Goddess Durga is said to be exquisitely beautiful. Her form is blindingly bright (devi), with three lotus-like eyes, ten powerful hands, lush hair with beautiful curls, a red-golden glow from her skin and a quarter moon on her forehead. She wears a shiny oceanic blue attire emitting fierce rays. Her ornaments were carved beautifully of gold, with ocean pearls and precious stones embedded in it. Each god also gave her their own most powerful weapons, Rudra's trident, Vishnu's discus, Indra's thunderbolt, Brahma's kamandal, Kuber's gada, etc. Himalayas gifted her a fierce whitish golden lion. On the end of the 8th and beginning of the 9th day of waxing moon, Chanda and Munda came to fight the goddess. She turned blue with anger and goddess Chamunda leaped out of her third eye. Her form was the most powerful one with 3 red eyes, blood-filled tongue and dark skin; who finally killed the twin demons with her sword. This form of the divine goddess is worshipped during the sandhikshan of Durga Puja festival, as sandhi/chandi puja. Finally on the tenth day of waxing moon, goddess Durga killed Mahishasura with her trident.
The word Shakti, meaning sacred feminine force, and Durga reflects the warrior aspect of the goddess, embodying a traditional male role. She is also strikingly beautiful, and initially Mahishasura tries to marry her! Other incarnations include Annapurna and Karunamayi (karuna = kindness).
According to the narrative from the Devi Mahatmya of the Markandeya Purana, the form of Durga was created as a warrior goddess to fight a demon. The demon's father Rambha, king of the demons, once fell in love with a water buffalo, and Mahish Asur (the demon Mahish) was born out of this union. He is therefore able to change between human and buffalo form at will (mahish means "buffalo"). Through intense prayers to Brahma, Mahishasur had the boon that he could not be defeated by any man or god. He unleashed a reign of terror on earth, heaven and the nether worlds.
Eventually, since only a woman could kill him, the Holy Male Trinity went down to the river Ganges and prayed the mantra, "Om Namo Devaye", imploring of the great goddess Devi to save their realm from ruin. They were blessed with her compassion when the goddess Durga was born out of the river.

Sorry for my criticism. Actually, my distrust of following anyone, god, God, or not is probably the biggest thing holding me back

Whenever a book or scroll is mentioned I always think of the acquirement of wisdom. Theres a good chance that book actually exists in the astral, how you can get to it you'll have to figure out.. there is another you already in the astral. Dont be discouraged if you cant actually read it (that would be impressive if you did), just sending your other self might help. If it helps you to be a better person then it's worth something.

Hey Luke,no worries.

when i saw that Yantra on my friend's page and asked her about it,she said that it was a protective sheild from Durga.
to be honest I'm merely curious about it.
I'm not gonna follow any particular God/ess, as my beliefs are ever evolving based only on experiences..
tho if it is possible to learn anything from any Deity, or even to know that i had one looking out for me.. well, I'd be very interested in knowing more.. 8)

maybe now that i have more control of my experiences it's time to see if i can't find that book.. :)

If I may butt in with what is merely my opinion:
I am of the belief that when we receive messages from deities (or about deities) what we have is an archetypal or symbolic message from the nonphysical that can help us in the physical in some way, even if it is consciousness raising alone.
In other words, you had a dream about Durga, looked it up, found it corresponded with someoene else's experiences/theory, and this made you look more into it. You found that it had to do with material manifestation. Remember that abundance is not all about acquisition and money- that abundance is about the notion that the universe is thought responsive and abundant, that there are specific ways of manifesting that are part of who you are- a divine being. So even if manifesting material wealth is or may be not for you, manifesting health, love (aka raising the vibrations of yourself and others) and things that give joy and gratitude are also signs of abundance.
When you pursue the idea behind the form or symbol, and bring it to it's highest form according to your consciousness, that, IMO, it's what it's all about.
So there is no need to 'follow' or 'worship' a deity- but when the universe throws you a bone, IMO it's a good thing to follow it, and see what you can do with it, if that is your calling.

Yeah CF, that's the way i feel about it too.
I hadn't really considered this as an opportunity to gain anything material.
For me this "dream" was definitely the moment when my "awakening" was kick started. so already i feel like i gained from it..

to realise later that it might be related to a Deity i'd never heard of before, has not only hightened my curiosity, but deepened my belief in this thing we call sprituality... so again, i'm gaining from the experience. :D

who knows what else may be revealed if i look further into it..

This morning i spent a long time having a dream where everyone in the world had become either an angel or a demon/vampire type being.
there were no "normal" humans left, and the angels and demons were in constant battles with each other.
i was an angel.

this is the second "dream" i've had as an angel.

i can't really remember many specifics about what happened.
i spent a great deal of time flying around, doing acrobatic maneuvers (spelling?? :? ) doing loops and stuff.
i was really focused on the mechanics of flying, which were very different to the usual flying experiences, where i either "will" my way into the air,or use arm movements to direct myself around.
this time it was all about flapping and moving my wings to fly, which was so much fun!! 8)
i spent alot of time flying alone over the city, looking out for demons.
sometimes a group of us angels would fly in formation over the city.
occasionally we'd be attacked by the demons, and have to defend ourselves by emitting white light from our hearts.
i could sense demons coming near before i'd seen them with my eyes.
the in-flight battles were very cool, never really feeling any fear,we just did away with demons and went about our business.
it felt like we never really attacked the demons, only defended ourselves when they attacked us.

there were conversations with angels, but i can't remember any details.

i woke at least 3 times, and once got up and grabbed a drink before going back to bed-each time going right back into it. :D
unfortunately the alarm woke me and i had to go to work..

more alien visits this morning.

this is the end of a dream i had today.
a visitor had landed, and had been teaching us about love energy. telling us how powerful love energy can be, and that specific frequencies can be used for different purposes.

he departed, but left a large boulder of rock in the grounds of the school.
he had told us we could use a specific frequency of love to extract fragments of the rock, which we could make jewelry from, which would make us healthier.
a few folk had a go, putting their hands on the rock, and the rock seemed to become softer, and they were able to pull off little pieces of it.

when it was my turn, i had a moment of insight, and something told me that sexual love energy would work well.
i put my hands on the rock.
in my mind i started talking to it. in a rhythmic way, chanting stuff to it like "give it to me, come on." hehe..
it reacted instantly. the rock became warm to my touch. then it began to soften.
in my mind i could feel an intelligence of sorts.
i could feel energy flowing in both directions, from and into it.
then i heard it start to sing, and i had visions of the rock becoming so flexible it pushed out arms and began to dance!

a large flat section of rock peeled itself back and fell into my hand.
the whole thing was glowing from the interior, pulsing warmly.

i decided that the piece i'd taken was enough to make many pendants, and so took my hands away, and it turned back into a normal looking alien rock.

this morning, on the edge of consciousness, i had a dream, in which everything was animated, south park style.
in the lane behind my Mum's house, i saw Jesus, healing sick folk, and destroying demon folk.
he came up to me, and i smiled at him.
"I'm soooo tired Neil, I've been at this for years without sleep" He said to me.
I took His head in my hands, put my forehead to His and sent a surge of energy from my 3rd eye to His.
then i told Him,"you'll sleep tonight!"
"Thanks" He said, then we walked thru an alleyway, where we met a woman with 2 cows.
they tried to run us down, turns out they were demons.
He destroyed them with a flick of His wrist, and He walked on.
just then 2 snakes, Asps, came out of the grass by the side of the path, and started to chase me.
i jumped over a fence, and the snakes tried to get over to get me.
they split up, each coming from one end of the fence, and i jumped over in the middle and got away.

i just looked up Jesus at Dreammoods, this is what they say -

To see Jesus in your dream, foretells that your greatest desires and goals will be realized. This dream serves to console and strengthen you in your times of adversity, hardship and struggle. You will rise above any situation and circumstance and become victorious.

To dream that Jesus speaks to you or that you are praying with Him, signifies that you will be blessed with true peace of mind, joy and contentment.

hehe, it was quite amusing to watch Jesus destroying demons.
most of them just turned to dust and fell to the ground, but the woman with the two cows - he made them shoot straight up hundreds of feet in the air, so they fell to the ground beside us and died that way.

what was also cool was, tho he was "south park" Jesus, his eyes were very "real" like the eyes of a real human.

well, i've been complaining about my dreams not being very exciting recently, this morning that was blown away by the "dream" i had.

i had gone to visit one of my best friends from back home, C, she was living in a series of rooms which had been constructed inside an old church.
there i found my sister and another of my closest friends. (we all used to hang out together when we all lived in the same city)
it was night, and she didn't have any electricity i guess, cos there were no lights on.
there were a few rooms, and there seemed to be some sort of party going on, lots of strangers hanging out in the other rooms, a gang of hell's angels in one, and some wasted kids, typical UK lookin kids in another. there wasn't any music playing tho so it must've been a dull party! :?

anyway, myself and my friends were in the living room, and i noticed an old bird cage in the corner.
i asked C what was in it, and she told me she had been given some "creatures" as a new year gift from her Father.
her Father died a few years ago, so this seemed strange to me.
i looked into the cage but in the darkness i couldn't see anything more than shadows.
she told me i could see them in the daylight.

i went over to one end of the room where i saw a large fish tank, which did have some light in it.
inside i saw some unearthly fish, one with a cat face, two others with dog-like faces. they each changed colour constantly, and seemed to change shape at will too.
one of the dogfish approached the catfish, and the two proceeded to have a fight, each growing an arm-like thing from their 3rd eye area, and slapping the other in the face with it.
the other dogfish seemed to be referee-ing the fight, intervening when things looked too rough. strange.
then, in the darkness to my right, two massive dogs appeared.
one of them spoke to me telepathically, commenting on the fish fight.
he was MASSIVE, his head was about the same height as my own.
i rubbed his densely haired head behind the ears, and he seemed to like it. :)

i sat down by the birdcage, and put my feet up on the chair in front of me.
then i felt something move over my leg, and realized that i had opened the side of the cage a little, and something had escaped.
C jumped up to grab the little shadow on the floor, and it darted around, changing shape as it went.
it was very hard to see in the dimness, but i saw that it was a shapeless blob, which turned into what looked like a tiny little garden gnome.
she grabbed it and went to put it back into the cage, but the side of the cage opened up and in a moment, there were hundreds of tiny blobs on the floor, and some on my legs, sticking to my jeans.
i reached down, and the blobs stuck to my hands hundreds of them instantly becoming one when put together.
there were black ones, and i could see glowing green ones, and some glowing orange too.
then i noticed a large cluster of glowing transluscent blobs come together on the side of my torso.
we got them all off and back into the cage, and i could feel that they were essentially happy little things, whatever they were.

by the cage, i saw that there was a second section of it that was separate from the rest, and inside was a small purple creature, which looked like a coral, or a sea anenome.
she brought it out and gave it to me.
it crawled around on my fingertips, changing shape and colour, from purple to green and back again.
as it crawled over my skin, i felt a change inside me occur.
i looked at my hands and the began to fragment, into a swirling mass of shards, glowing green, and hollow on the inside.
they started to dissolve before my eyes, and reappear. my whole body started to dissolve and reappear, tho it seemed that only i saw this happening.
my friends didn't react at all.

from this moment on things got a little more exciting...

C looked at a large window to our right, and the sun was starting to come up.
on the window, on the outside, someone had written, with their fingers, backwards, so it could be read from inside.
it said "i'm coming in"
she told me it wasn't the first time she'd seen writing on the window. it didn't feel friendly!
we went out into the main room, which was like a kind of sitting room, seats and couches arranged around a coffee table in the main part of the church hall.
seated around were loads of the people i'd seen in the other rooms, bikers, kids, a random selection of people.

then, over at the front door, i heard a nasty voice shout "CHURCH!"
i looked over to see an apparition appear.
a sickly yellow figure, holding aloft a sword, with what looked like an old castle portcullis behind him.
he started to come in the door, and i knew i had to stop him.
nobody else could see it, and i realized that the change i'd felt before was allowing me to exist in the spirit world and the physical at the same time.
the apparition was at the door, and i commanded it to stop, holding my hand up in a stop gesture.
didn't work.
the thing came inside and was approaching slowly..
i walked to it and tried again... nothing.
i stepped back and realized i had to call on some higher power for assistance.
i called out loud "Father, Lord, Source of all Light, help me!"
instantly i had a protective energy shell around me, like a bubble about 5 metres wide surrounding me.
i walked forward and the apparition dissolved.

at this point i came awake in my bed, and asked my girlfriend, "did you see that?"
it seemed like it had happened in the corner of my bedroom.
she sleepily said no, gave me a kiss and was asleep.
instantly i was back there..

i went back over to where my friends were, unaware of anything that had happened.
we stood by what was once the altar, and i once again looked at the people sitting around.
a voice said in my head something like "you cannot beat us all!"
then i saw clearly the truth of everyone in the church.
some of them were simply normal folks, oblivious to what was going on, but almost half of them now could be seen for what they really were.
some were demonic looking, on huge biker guy was a vampire, a couple of warewolf looking things were there too.
over to the left of the group, the one i sensed to be the source of the voice, was an evil looking old hag, with a head that was WAYYYY too big for it's human body.
she cackled at me, and they began to approach...

i remembered a dream i had months ago, where i'd grown huge angel wings and beaten some evil beings, and decided to give that a try..
YES!!
the wings unfolded, and i summoned the light.
from behind me came a hurricane of wind-like energy.
it was so powerful i had to hold onto the sturdy wooden altar base behind me, to stop myself from being blown into the demons.
looking at them i could see them struggling to remain in one piece, but they were fraying at the edges!
they flew apart in strips, and it was a battle of wills, mine against all of theirs.
the very air was crackling with electrical energy, and in my vision i saw them in an almost infra-red way. it was like being in the middle of a maelstrom, and i seriously worried that i might not hold on.
one by one they fell apart until there wasn't enough of their essence to hold them together, and they would dissolve into nothing.
the last one to go was the huge headed hag.
when it was only me and her(?) left, i knew i'd won, and as she held on with all her power, she looked me directly in the eye, never moving.
i looked right back at her, and then with my cheekiest grin i could muster, i winked at her, and with a final push of energy, blew her away!! :D

all was calm.
i'd protected my friends and they had no idea.. 8)

One of the joys of recording dreams: you experience how the mind is out of time and how you can see the future. Sometimes it's just trivial stuff like the set menu you'll eat at a function or a black bus.

heh, isn't life funny?
just as i start complaining about not being able to get fully lucid, i have two nice little lucid dreams in the space of two days.
both landscape orientated triggers.

first one, i'm watching these two guys, from my window, while lying on my bed.
i can't hear them, but can tell they're arguing about something.
it looks like they're getting angry, and are gonna fight.
just then i have a thought, "can they see me watching?"
then i realize, this isn't the view from my bedroom, and this isn't even how my bedroom is laid out.
haha, dreaming!! nice one.
as i look down at the scene, it begins to flicker.
one guy turns into a baby on the floor, the other disappears.
then some other beings appear, and the baby turns back into the guy it was before. the other guy reappears.
then the whole scene begins to dissolve. turning into "tv" static, grey and fuzzy, until there's nothing to see, just my awareness lying there.
back to my body, i'm in my real room now, but can't see. try but feel i've no power.
relax and come awake. happy i've been lucid again. :D

second, a strange little one.
i'm looking down this really steep hill, a road going down into a tunnel.
i realize i don't know this place, i must be dreaming. cool!
i take a massive leap, as if to jump down the hill in one bound.
as i lift off, i hear a kinda sci-fi sounding swoosh, and i go straight up, into blackness...
again, no sight, i try to see, but again, feel low power. can't move anywhere either.
relax and i'm back in bed. :)

This morning- dreaming of attending a school.
Not any school I ever went to in this lifetime, but I know I've been there many times.
I'm my age now, not younger. The other pupils are all familiar, but only 1 of them is someone I know from this life. D, a good friend from back home.
In the dream I visited this place twice. I don't remember the lesson from day 1.
On day 2, I arrive just in time, almost late. The girl who sits next to me on the left, tells me that the teacher thinks I'm not very interested.
I kinda have the attitude that I don't feel I'm learning much there.
The guy to the right of me offers me something to eat. A mixture of bits of citrus fruit - oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruits, mixed up with mint leaves. Very refreshing and tasty!:-)
I think this is something we share every day. He's very familiar, I know we've shared many experiences, but he's not anyone I know in this life.
Over on the side of the room, D, my friend, is making noise and not paying attention to the teacher. In real life D is intelligent and friendly, but I imagine he wouldve been a bit disruptive in class. Amusing himself by acting up. Seems things are no different here.
Another teacher comes in, and tells him he has to leave.
He gets up to go, then seems to realize what it means to be told to leave. He starts shouting f*ck! F*ck! F*ck! Then he starts knocking stuff off tables, and turning over chairs. Then he starts flipping around and kicking chairs and tables, destroying whatever he crashes into.
D is a martial artist in real life.
As his freak- out continues, he begins to weep.
He's in front of my desk, flapping and howling when he catches my eye for a second. He recognizes me. Everyone is just staring the whole time.
He looks at me again, and I reach out my hand to his, to try and calm him down and comfort him.
I clasp his hand, and I wake up.

Neil, I think your friend D is possibly a shadow aspect showing up in your dream (and familiar friend with the citrus fruit is also you) and, because my 15 year old has a bunch of friends over and they're playing Guitar Hero VERY LOUDLY and I'm ready for bed and I can't concentrate, I'll leave you to consider what your good shadow friend is telling you about what your authentic Self wants.

The girl is probably an anima figure: the personification of your unconscious and your feminine psychological tendencies such as vague feelings and moods, prophetic hunches, receptiveness to the irrational, capacity for personal love, feeling for nature and relation to your own unconscious.
("The Process of Individuation" by M.L. von Franz).

The right is the side where things become conscious. Among other things "right often means, psychologically, the side of consciousness, of adaptation, of being "right" while left represents the sphere of unadapted, unconscious reactions or sometimes even of something sinister ("The Process of Individuation" by M.L. von Franz).

It would be useful to know more about the two teachers.

I also notice the number two is important in this dream. Apparently, Jung saw this as potentially a number indicative of inner conflict as you've already identified:

Conflict - Fighting

(1) A fight may represent conflict in a real-life domestic or work situation.

(2) The conflict may be within you, between opposing forces in the psyche. An obvious candidate is a clash between what you want to do and what you feel you ought to do. In this case, bear in mind that conscience is usually socially constructed and consists of the prohibitions and ideals that were imprinted in your psyche during your early years.

(3) The conflict may be between what we are in fact and what we are potentially. Jung sees conscience as the voice of inner wisdom that will lead us to our true selfhood.

(4) If the conflict is between conscious ego and unconscious, the aggressor in the dream fight will probably represent the part of you that is demanding release from the dungeons of the unconscious. It will not hurt you unless you deny it expression. Identify it, and then welcome it as a talent or energy that can contribute to your well being. Change the conflict into a dialogue, a respectful exchange between your conscious and unconscious. (Is this not the way to handle such situations in our waking lives, instead of aggression?).

Where there is unresolved inner conflict, there is a tendency to project the unconscious protagonist to other people, often with dire consequences in personal relationships.

(5) More specific inner conflicts are those between opposite psychic qualities or forces, such as masculinity and femininity, thinking and feeling.

after a few months of not being able to quite get fully lucid, i had a nice one the other night. i've been noticing a certain activity that's been taking place in recent dreams, that seemed a little odd, so i decided to make it a potential trigger for lucidity.
a couple of nights ago, as i lay falling asleep, i made a request to be aware of whatever my consciousness was up to during sleep. not with the intention of gaining lucidity, just hoping so "see" something unexpected or interesting.

i ended up having a rather strange dream about old friends, i was introducing a guy i know, to another version of himself. (hmmm, that's happened before, now that i think of it :? )
anyway, this dream was playing out, when i noticed the "trigger" happening. i realised i was dreaming, but nothing changed. it was only when i verbalised the words "i'm dreaming" in my mind, that i gained full lucidity.
i found that quite interesting, that simply noticing the fact that i'm in a dream wasn't enough to give me control, i had to "say" the words to myself, to be able to take over.

anyway, at that point, the whole scene before me became fluid, and i made it all turn in on itself. like i was pouring paint into a sink and it was all going down the drain.
what i ended up with was a blueish circle of colour in the centre of my vision, with a black background behind.
looking at it i thought it looked like the earth, sitting in space. as i thought that, it became more Earth-like. i could see the continents and oceans.
i now had a feeling of depth, the Earth was a sphere, not just a 2d circle.
i considered letting myself fall back to Earth, something i do regularly when lucid or OOB. it's alot of fun! :D
instead i decided to pull away, watching the Earth get smaller and smaller...
soon other planets came into view, but not the planets of our solar system. random looking planets, of many colours would shoot into view from behind me, as i shot backwards thru "space"...
then stars, some brighter than others, more planets... soon i was looking at a massive cluster of stars and planets, all spread out in a horizontal line, not too deep vertically. i realised if i moved up or down i could see the shape of the galaxy. i went up.
sure enough, the galaxy spread out in a huge spiral!
so cool. so much colour! 8)
i went back down to the horizontal position, and saw four or five BIG stars. i decided i was gonna fly into one of them. i chose the brightest, and started to fly towards it.
as i seemed to get nearer, but was yet still far away, i found myself distracted by something.
the blackness of the background was shifting.
it too was becoming made up of balls of black. there appeared another layer in the background, less dark, kinda black-blueish.

then, the black spheres started to move in all kinds of directions, taking the stars and planets with them.
they formed shapes that looked like animated creatures. two of them. it was like watching shadow puppets, dancing on a Universal screen. these two monstrous creatures danced around each other, carrying the stars and planets on their backs.

i watched, thinking, "this would make an excellent animation, i wonder what kind of software i'd need to do that?"
with that thought i woke up. :D

A few nights ago I had a very vague dream that for some reason keeps popping back into my memory every day. i live in a "medieval" looking community, situated around a large castle.
i'm a young man, in a close community, everyone knows everyone well.

it comes to the attention of myself and a female friend, that there is a secret circle of magicians among us, ten of them.
the female seems to be with me during the whole experience, but never plays any part, she's just there.
one of my closest male friends (A) is initiated into the circle.
my female friend and i watch this ceremony take place in the dark, not supposed to be there, or even know about it.
each of the members has a broom, which they can fly on. 8)

i feel left out, knowing that i myself have potential in the magical arts, and am sure there's some reason for me not being included.
i start to become very interested in the goings-on of this secret circle. i know i should be part of it.

the elders of the circle are always very friendly to me, i feel like they're watching out for me, but no-one ever mentions anything about their secret activities.

then something happened... i receive a communication from an unknown source.
(this is gonna be hard to describe. my dreaming mind created the symbol of a mobile phone for this part, but the "text" i received wasn't in words, but in other symbols, 3D shapes)
the message told me i already knew the secrets to manifesting whatever i wanted to happen, the keys to magic.
it then showed me a series of 3D shapes, two of which were "lit up", the others were dull.
i realised that by selecting the correct shapes, lighting them up by pressing a button on the phone, i was completing a puzzle, which created an energy flow allowing my thoughts to become reality altering manifestation power. 8)

elated by this new found power, i began testing out what was possible.
making a broom fly was first,

now, when i'm hanging out with A, i have a secret of my own.
i feel like telling him that i've discovered my abilities, but decide to keep it to myself.
i begin to wonder who sent me the communication in the first place. was it A? did he want me to be part of the circle after all?
if he did, why hadn't he mentioned it then?

A left, to go to meet with the magicians.
i knew where he was going. i was beginning to "know" what other people were thinking about.
they were discussing me. i knew it.

later that evening i decided to confront one of the elders.(this character felt like Beekeeper, sorry for the use of the word "Elder" Beek  :P )
i went alone and sneaked into her room in the castle. i had to make myself "unsee-able" to get there.
when i appeared in her room, she didn't seem too surprised.
i told her i knew about them, and also that i knew they were excluding me deliberately.
a look of worry, then relief came across her face.
she told me that indeed i had been deliberately excluded.
they hadn't wanted me to realise my potential, worried that i might not be able to control my growing abilities. apparently for some reason they were concerned i would become too powerful.
then she told me that my growing abilities, made me more visible, to others with realised potentials.
this seemed to worry her alot. there was something she wasn't telling me.
i pressed her, i told her i knew she was hiding something.
she then told me that many years before, my "shadow counterpart" had come looking for me.
they had hidden me from him when i was young. he was apparently a powerful, dark magician.
they were afraid he would come back again...
she promised me that now that i had woken my abilities, i would be a part of their secret circle.

back in my living place, with A, i asked him how the flying was going.
he didn't seem surprised that i knew, and he didn't try to hide anything.
he grabbed his broom and jumped on, wobbling slightly, hovering a few feet above the ground.
it felt good to be included now, but in my mind, i still wondered where that communication had come from...

who had wanted me to become aware of my abilities?
and what would happen when my shadow counterpart came looking for me?...

Hello, Neil.

who had wanted me to become aware of my abilities?
and what would happen when my shadow counterpart came looking for me?...

I think the experience is your own symbolical representation of nonphysical reality. I'm rather sure when the "shadow counterpart" came up. That part makes me think it needs to be interpreted symbolically/archetypically.

It's not surprising you would represent a nonphysical reality in a medieval background. It's a magical place.

One thing that you see here is what happens when you run out of symbols - when you find no equivalent in the medieval representation table your brain picks next best thing - a mobile phone and 3D symbols.

Also some traditions report of initiation trials, which seems to be what happens here - you demonstrate skills of your own and then are admitting to the group.

The way you describe manifestation here is being aware of the forces in play and resistances. By knowing which bits need to be changed (the dull ones) and rectifying the setup you get the result you desire. This is very different from a "The Secret" based idea of manifestation where you wish and do that very hard. This is a way of manifesting and creating your reality that takes your context into consideration, what can be changed and what needs to be changed to get a desired outcome.

Similarly you experience telepathy.

I actually tend to think not the whole story played itself out in nonphysical reality, but that's how a past self of yours experienced his initiation into nonphysical reality.

I think the concern is not for you to become too powerful, but with looking for power through your abilities. Abilities need to be used wisely, which requires developing your personal responsibility first.

Of course you're visible to higher beings, for example. Your aura changes, for example.

More in a PM.

Cheers,
Oliver

Here's what I got:
In general terms, I would say that all the characters were subconscious aspects of yourself and 'you' were the one conscious aspect of yourself, magic being the language you need (or symbolism, anyway) for all these aspects to work in tandem with yourself.
The 'elder BeeK' would be your higher self, who has plans for you, but you just have to work on all this integration- too much too soon can be damaging, so you're being given it piecemeal- and when you do fully integrate, you will truly become as powerful as you can be.
Very simplified.

yeah. that was interesting.
once i'd worked out how the different "pieces of the puzzle" had to fit together the first time, manifesting after that was easy, tho it still seemed to require a focused thought process of sorts. like i had to concentrate to make things happen. unlike in a lucid dream where stuff happens almost at the same time as you thinking them..know what i mean?

yep.
there was definitely a concern about keeping these abilities under control.
when i was confronting the elder, i was showing her that i was aware and in full control of myself.
that was the moment of relief she expressed..

yeah, during it, the use of the term "shadow counterpart" made me aware that i was dealing with self aspects...
and at the end, when i was wondering where the communication had come from, i felt like it was from the shadow, and also from the elder, and from A, my friend.
all of which would be correct. :D

Hey, I'm pretty chuffed with the role of elder. I stopped in at a pizza place for a coffee before my yoga class (okay, I confess, I also had some garlic bread - not very yogic before giving a class but I go straight from teaching high school and I left my fruit at home by mistake) and the woman- whom I'm sure was younger than me- called me "sweetie" at least 6 times in the 15 odd minutes I was there. She was nice, actually, but being called sweetie always makes me feel about 14.

Somehow your dream resonates with my recently renewed wondering about whether we here have been a spiritual (magical?) community before. As for "elders" and leaders I believe we take it in turns based on a need to experience.

Awesome dream, you could turn it into a fantasy novel.

Tigers, Dogs and Kylie Minogue.

this past week has seen two dreams, each concerning three tigers.
the second one is a little bizarre.

much of it seems relevant to certain aspects of life right now. others, just plain bizarre, lol..

The Learning Centre.
in the first, i am with my sister, at some kind of teaching facility.
there are a number of "students" there. i am an "old student", having already been thru the lessons.
there are three tigers.

each of them is huge, and wears a collar with a leash, like a dog would wear.
the students are learning how to handle the tigers.
i give my sister the leash of one of the tigers.
when the tiger moves, she drops the leash in fear.
i tell her she must master the fear, and i pick up the leash, and hand it to her again.
the whole time i am very aware of the danger involved in handling tigers, and i am not without a respectful amount of fear myself.
however i trust in my own knowledge, in having handled them before, so when i have the leash in my hands, the tiger is still.

as i keep control of the tiger, it transforms into a smaller, more domestic looking cat.
it still, however, has very sharp teeth, and a bit of an attitude, and it tries to bite me.
we end up having to use some sort of device to give it some "gas" which will put it to sleep, not before i have a couple of scrapes in my hand from it's attempts to bite me.

The "Prison".
i am aware of having been sentenced to spend some time in a prison of sorts.
i feel sure i shouldn't be there, in fact i know i am not guilty of any crime, and have been set-up by some other party, for unknown reasons.
i am introduced to my "room-mates".
three other guys, who all seem ok.
our living area is outdoors, our sleeping areas form a square, each of us lying facing inward towards each other.

i, together with one of my room mates, go to see the "master" in charge of the facility.
i'm given what is like a letter, all the "evidence" that has resulted in my being sent here.
my room mate is telling the master that he is innocent, and shouldn't be here.
meanwhile, i am looking at the evidence, when a voice recording starts playing from within the evidence.
it is a recording of a conversation, between myself and someone else.
the conversation, which was recorded with a hidden microphone, is directed by the other person, in such a way as to make me say incriminating things, if they were to be heard out of context, which they obviously have been.
i try to tell the master about it, but he doesn't hear me.
it's as if my words have no sound.
i try again, but it becomes obvious that i will not be heard.

i resign myself to making the best of the situation.
i decide to go for a walk and see what kind of place i'm being held in.

it seems the living area i have is quite decent, compared to the rest of the compound.
it's all outdoors.
i walk into an area much like a school playing field.
there are many men there. most are lying on their backs, lazing in the sunshine, doing nothing.
some are sitting in groups together.
many have dogs with them.
the atmosphere isn't friendly, as i walk thru them.
i feel very visible, and know i am seen as an outsider here.
further on, some are playing football, or throwing frisbee, in small groups.
as i walk, a football is kicked too high, and ends up near me on the grass.
i pick it up and throw it back to the guys who were playing.
they seemed hostile, but then soften as i sent the ball back.

i carry on walking, and come to the edge of the compound.
there i see high cliff faces, of rough rock formations.
i think this could be turned into a rock climbing area. beyond/above the cliffs, i see forests.
there are no guys hanging out here at the edge.

i turn and walk back into the more populated area, starting to think of ways in which this place could be made more enjoyable for everyone.
i take a different route thru the busy part, and i see a strange statue. i get close to it, and see it is of a pride of lions, huge stone lions.
i climb into the middle, and am making my way up to try and sit on top of a massive lions head.
i suddenly become aware of three huge tigers, alive and menacing, lying and sitting on the statue.
i am completely surrounded by the tigers. i freeze with fear.
then i have a lucid thought, i remember the tigers from my dream a few days ago.
these tigers are different, not "real-life" orange/black coloured, but more of a brown/white striped beast, with strangely shaped heads.
still, i realise the danger of my situation, and feeling like i have no way out, without alerting them to my presence, i decide to wake from the dream...

as i fall back asleep, i find myself in the same "world" but somewhere outside of the "prison".
i am with a female, she seems like a magical being.
Kylie Minogue. :D
she is there, holding my hand. we kiss.
as this happens, my consciousness kind of splits, so i am in a place of non-being, a kinda grey void, where i have no body-experience, yet am still aware of the body i have "somewhere else" that is kissing Kylie Minogue.
i am having very short glimpses of the kissing action, but am being kept in this void experience for the most part.
i am mostly just hoping that the body is doing a good job of the kissing.
the kissing ends, and i am fully back in the body again, and Kylie seems pleased.
i start to get worried, about being out of the prison, and fear they will notice that somehow i am not there.
we decide to get me back there, before i'm in trouble.

then i see a cctv recording being watched, by the master, and another official.
it is of my living area.
there are a number of "magical" beings there, some kind of elemental types, causing a disturbance.
Kylie slips in thru a "back door", and i follow.
i can clearly see myself come thru the door, on the cctv recording.

the master and his companion come down to the living area, and the official is about to reprimand me, when a couple of my friends appear.
it seems that my friends have been the ones creating a disturbance, so i could slip in un-noticed.
the official realises this, and is about to grab me, but the master steps in, and tells him to leave, that nothing is out of order, that these elemental beings are always up to mischief. the official, seemingly hypnotised by the masters words, disappears.

the master gives me a knowing wink, and doesn't seem to mind my venturing out of the confines of this place, whatever it is.

i go over to my sleeping area, to find Kylie has covered her whole body, up to the neck, in earth. she seems quite happy to sleep there in the ground, but when i go over to her, she emerges, totally clean, and comes to sleep with me.
she is emitting pure love, and it seems we are bound together now.

there is some sort of commotion happening, and we get up to see what's afoot.
a terrible noise can be heard, a high pitched whining sound.
one of the dogs belonging to the other guys is going berserk.
it's a pitt-bull of some description.
someone says it's a female, everyone is obviously concerned.
the dog has another dog in it's mouth.
a smaller terrier, which is helpless.
the another pitt-bull goes crazy, and grabs another dog by the neck.

some guy starts shouting for a first aid kit, knowing what's coming.
most of the guys are stunned. i end up helping the guy who's trying to help.
i move many of the frightened dogs into an area behind a glass window, so they are safe, while the other guy tends to the wounded dogs...

The prison dream is very interesting in how it compares to your earthly incarnation. Starts out with details that were part of a reading you had if you remember that. If I were you I'd go back through this dream from the perspective of someone who was asked to reincarnate and didn't want to... FInding out it's really not that bad, but still not part of the group. Eventually realizing that you can make it something better.

i'm wondering about the significance of these three tigers that keep popping up. i obviously have to overcome the fear, but what exactly do they represent?
i was encouraged that the "master" character seemed happy that i had managed to work out how to travel outside of the prison too.

and Kylie, does she represent my growing awareness of my relationship with Mother Earth perhaps? she went to sleep 'in the earth'. :?

Hey, Neil.

The last part got my attention especially:

as this happens, my consciousness kind of splits,

You're aware of two energy bodies here.

so i am in a place of non-being, a kinda grey void, where i have no body-experience,

You're experiencing an energy body where only the first chakra is starting to get active. I'm referring to this post: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=17113&p=121425#p121425 (http://forums.astraldynamics.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=17113&p=121425#p121425)

yet am still aware of the body i have "somewhere else" that is kissing Kylie Minogue.
i am having very short glimpses of the kissing action, but am being kept in this void experience for the most part.

You're being exposed to this energy body to acquaint yourself with it, to get in touch with its energy. The inner senses of this body are not active yet, so there's nothing to sense. A grey void means "undifferentiated." You cannot yet discern anything from the inner senses this body offers to you. This is just some kind of first step in this new body.

there are a number of "magical" beings there, some kind of elemental types, causing a disturbance.

:!: (see my PM - it's actually funny I wrote it before reading this)

the master gives me a knowing wink, and doesn't seem to mind my venturing out of the confines of this place, whatever it is.

Physical reality, quite probably. Your little trip took you to the other side.

this morning, another one, this time, two Lions, and one Tiger.
all roaming around in a building that was my "house".
one of the lions i knew to be hostile. the other i knew would do me no harm, it was just there.
the tiger, i wasn't sure of.
i spent some time, with someone else who was there, avoiding the agressive lion... when suddenly the tiger was right there in front of me.
it didn't attack.
it was more like it was checking me out. i got a feeling from it, that it wouldn't harm me, but nonetheless, it made some show of its claws to me.
then it climbed on top of me, and i was a bit worried that it might attack, but it didn't.
it felt like this was a demonstration to let me know i didn't have to be afraid.
strange way of demonstrating that!

then, however, it ended up killing the other guy who was there. it wasn't a vicious attack tho, it was a very deliberate, consciously decided kill. first it knocked the guy down, then seemed to hesitate, as if making it's mind up, whether or not it was gonna do it. then it slashed him across his face and throat. the guy knew he was gonna die, and lay there, obviously frightened, but calmly awaiting the inevitable.
during this part, i think i was the tiger, and the guy, and the observer, all at once.
i didn't feel any concern for him dying. i simply moved on after it was done...

i don't remember much after that.
i woke up, then realised that i probably should've tried to tame the tiger, so i tried to get back in, but i was too awake...

Hello, Neil.

If you perceived being observer, tiger and guy at once, then these are all aspects of you. The question is therefore if it would have make sense to tame the tiger.

The tiger checks you out, but shows you no harm, only the power. It however kills the other guy.

I personally would wonder if that guy is an aspect of you that could be considered "false self." While you were kind of like the aspect of yourself that remains - everything that is aligned with "true self" or your "core self." Maybe you're identified enough with those aspects to identify it as killing - the killing of a person(ality). Sometimes there's a "death of the old self" archetype in dreams.

The soul has also power over the ego self - the power withdraw or give the life force. If you for example would have been overly identified with the ego self, you might have had a frightening, nightmarish encounter with the tiger, and would have perceived it from the victim's perspective. Your lack of emotional reaction is the clue here - lack of identification. Also, the tiger here discerns what is to live and what is to die - the power over life, expressed symbolically as a powerful animal whose reasons and reasoning you don't quite understand.

At least one possible take on it. The very least I would take from it that there is a test - you pass the test and somebody else, whatever he stands for, doesn't.

Cheers,
Oliver

Hello, Neil.

now...there's a couple of big old lions around here somewhere i gotta deal with...

:D

This reminds me of good/bad or like/dislike. At first I thought the lions could be like pursuing what you like and avoiding what you don't like. However, you do only half of that. You don't pursue the other lion, you just evade the dangerous lion.

Likes and dislikes have to do with detachment. Maybe this says that you can react detached enough now so that you don't pursue "likes" mindlessly. But maybe you still avoid the "dislikes" - so, half of the conditioning is still going on.

Regardless of whether that is true, you can always try your re-dream experiment on the aggressive lion. Taming the aggressive lion might be a much more viable alternative than trying to tame the tiger. The outcome might be very interesting.

Cheers,
Oliver

Indiana Jones Whip and undercover 'agent' types

ok, so on going to bed, i set a firm intention, to integrate any aspects of self i came across that needed integrating, successfully.
i also stated that i would be successful in dealing with any issues that came to my attention, and face down any bad guys...

so, i was in an underground cave system. i am Indiana Jones.
i am with a woman.
we are being pursued by a few men who are trying to kill us.
to make our escape, i have to work out many puzzles. blocks of stone must be moved in certain ways, and ropes must be pulled to make doorways appear, for us to move into the next "room"...

we manage to keep ourselves one step ahead most of the time...

then things turn strange.
we are at the edge of a deep chasm. across the middle are a couple of fallen trees.
i'll have to use the whip, to catch onto the trees, and swing across. i'm Indiana Jones, that's what i do for a living..
the pursuers catch up here, but instead of attacking, they seem mesmerised by the whip. it seems this is what they wanted all along. they seem to see it as some sort of powerful weapon/tool.
then, the whole chasm/trees scene, turns into a scale model, about 4ft high.
we are all there, standing looking at this model, discussing the intricacies of whipping the whip just right, in order to catch the trees, so i can swing, and then still be able to detach the whip when i'm done.. :?

after i've explained it to them, i demonstrate.
i go to the model, and then suddenly i'm back standing on the edge of this gaping abyss, and i whip the whip, catch the branch, take the woman, and swing across.
the whip detaches, and the pursuers are left on the other side, looking quite impressed.

it seems i've passed this test..i go thru a hole in the cave wall, and find myself in the streets near my childhood home.
it's night. all is dark.
i'm wary for some reason. i decide to slip thru some back gardens to make my way home...
as i do so, i hear whispering voices...i see shadows and shapes in the darkness, people are hunting for me..
i turn and run down the street, keeping to the shadows...this is my territory and i know it better than anyone so i slip thru alleys and onto another street that will take me a longer route home...

then i find myself at a set of stairs, like i'm coming out of some kind of building...
there are many people kinda hanging around in the street.
they all look like they're trying to look inconspicuous, but failing badly. i can see right thru them all.
they are all watching me..

i hear a woman talk quietly into her hidden communication set..
i turn to her "what was that?"
she looks at me
"what did u say? i ask her.
she doesn't seem to know how to respond, she didn't expect me to speak to her
"you said something, what did u say?" she's looking around at the other folk, and she's backing away from me. the others look confused too. they're all supposed to be 'under-cover' so they don't want to react and blow their cover..
now i'm getting very confident so i get a bit cheeky "HELLO!!! :P u spoke to me! what did u say? HELLO!"
she just keeps backing away, as do the rest of the undercover 'agents'..
now i'm addressing them all just kinda taking the p*ss "HELLO!! CAN ANYBODY HEAR ME??"
this is fun...

then the whole scene dissolved and i woke.

Korpo
18th July 2010, 01:18 PM
Well, well, Herr Jones, what do ve have here?

;)

The switch to the model and back into the scene seems to be a giveaway that this is a simulation. I'd say you when around the model are a higher aspect of yourself - that's why you know all this stuff and details. The you in the scene/simulation is the lower aspect being taught an out-of-body skill.

Quite probably this is about mastering the third chakra in a body which is responsible for movement. I think the message is that the higher aspect of yourself is involved in teaching you the finer details of using that chakra.

If the first scene is a simulation, then the second scene quite probably is, too. I think you're breaking the simulation here. Again. Tsk, tsk.

At least that's what it sounds like. It could be that you pick up on the "crew" sustaining the scene, especially when you spot the communication set. It might be hidden simply because it is not part of the simulation that you spot it, but you do.

The people you are challenging might also be part of the scene, and the feeling of being watched pertains to the whole scene itself. In a simulation you are watched. It might explain why the people did not have a response ready when you challenged them. They were similar to dream characters maybe. The communication set could have been a hint then that everything gets picked up.

The waking up part might be the simulation aborting.

Cheers,
Oliver

Cool dream.

Probably my favourite one ever was where I was a school marm at a girl's school and I was playing a jazz piano number like a pro. The song was called, "You can't channel Buddha through your crystal earrings." We danced all over the room and the lyrics, which were hilarious and clever, just flowed. It was awesome.

I mentioned that dream to my senior class that year and they gave me crystal earrings and a buddha as a farewell gift. :D

Dad's third eye

i just woke up from this just now.

i was with my Dad, about to go somewhere, when we saw my (other) Dad.
it was my Dad, but an alternate him. looking terrible.
his clothes were dirty, he looked tired and hungry. he looked like a homeless dude.
i went to speak to him, to see if he was ok.
he was about to go into some dirty looking toilet in what seemed like an underground train station.
there were other smelly looking old men there too. it looked like he knew them.
i caught his attention, and he decided not to go in there, almost looking embarrassed.

we went for a walk out of there into the street. he was talking about needing a project, to keep his mind active. he seemed preoccupied, distant.
we sat on a park bench, talking.
in front of us a man stood, holding onto a HUGE wooden bow.
i remarked at what a grand bow it was. my Dad said something about how far he could shoot an arrow with it.
this thing was bigger than a full grown man. it stood freely upright, when the man let go of it.
then a female appeared. (maybe my Sister)
we talked to my Dad about what he's doing with himself.
we suggested he could take up some part time course at a school or find a job or something.
he said he'd look for something, then he got up and said he had to go.

we watched him go across the street, to where two men were standing.
one of them har a bright red face, and a big fat belly.
the other just looked a bit dirty and smelly.
my Dad lay down on the ground and went to sleep.
the two men went to leave, but as they did, the fat one stood on my Dad's chest as he stepped over.
i started shouting, "hey fatty!"
he looked around to see who was shouting. i was angry.
"hey fat boy. you fat bastard! you don't stand on my Dad!"
he looked at me and laughed. they started to walk away.
i was running across shouting "yeah you better run fatty. fat f*#ker!!!"

when i got to my Dad, he was sleeping soundly on the ground.
i woke him up, he seemed disoriented.
then he sat up, and i looked at his eyes.
they weren't my Dad's eyes.
and his third eye was open!
there was an actual third eye open on his forehead. not in the centre, but slightly off to the left, above his left eye.
he started talking to me, telling me some rambling joke about some Indian guy whose name sounded like a London tube station "easy way in, easy way out!"
it made no sense to me.
as i looked at him talk, i wondered about his eyes. they looked like another persons. and as he talked, the third eye, which was fully active, looking around of it's own accord, seemed to slip down his head, and then become one with his left eye, until it was gone.
then my Dad was back, looking himself again.

I think you ought meditate and bring in your two dads so that they can have a conversation with one another. See what message they have for you. Ask them what the dreams mean that they star in. I'm really curious what this means for you to dream about your dad twice in the same dream.

Very interesting.

The image of you running and yelling at the fat guy "FAT BASTARD!" made me laugh out loud.
Anyway, I noticed that there are a few components to your dad's apparent duality-
He looked dirty and smelly- you mention 'looking smelly' a few times, to describe him and his cronies. This could mean disease, but it also seems to me that it means appearances- he seems not to take care of himself, but his third eye is open- so there is a conflict in how you see him- you don't approve of his outward appearance, but respect the way he thinks, even if you don't admit it to yourself.
Anyway, that's what I got.

I think I'm kind of in line with CF on this. Seems it might be an allegory about the illusions of 'reality'. With regular sight a person may seem wretched and unwholesome, but with inner sight the same person may be quite ok.

Just a thought.

yeah that's spot on.
i have had to look after my Dad for years, he doesn't look after himself too well. i mean he's the best he's been in many years now, but, i found him in a terrible state one time years ago, when he'd been homeless for a week and a half. it's always a worry that he'll let things slip and get into that state again. :(
and i do have a lot of respect for him and the way he thinks, even if he is "stuck in his ways" and was a mostly-absent Father when we were kids.
nowadays i see his behaviour when we were growing up as a gift. i'm truly grateful, he's shown me many ways i never want to act. :)

rather fuzzy recall of details, here's the general story..

i cam across a guy who was having some problems. he was being terrorised by what i can only describe as a genie.
this mischievous entity was causing havok in his life.
it turned out that the genie had come from some incense the guy was burning. it was made from sage.
he had big blocks of it in a bag.
he had initially burned the sage for cleansing and protection, but somewhere along the line, his intent hadn't been pure, so this nasty dragon entity had manifested, and instead of protecting him, it was just being a pain in the arse.
he was stuck where he was, because he didn't want to leave, leaving the genie behind, in case it spoiled someone else's life.

somehow i managed to trick the genie into showing me that it originated in the burning sage block. it got smaller and smaller, until it was no more than a tiny puff of smoke,(cute little dragon :D ) then, it went back inside the sage block, which was just smouldering away. i quickly grabbed it and put it in a box, which was airtight, so the fire went out.

the guy was so grateful, and was making preparations to leave.
then i had an idea, to keep some of the sage block for myself, just in case i needed the dragon's protection in the future.
i grabbed a block from the bag, then stopped myself. what a dumb idea. i'd just be stuck with a dragon genie, who'd most likely be pissed off for my having tricked him. so i stuck the block back in the bag.

the guy and i decided to get rid of the temptation of the sage, so we closed up the bag and threw it in a river, where it soaked and sank...

Crazy Mum and Old Clothes

a rather strange one from last night -

i am at one of my childhood homes, my Mum is there. i am young, the right age for being in that particular house.
she is acting weird. she can't sit still, she looks skinny, unwell almost.
she's distracted, talking to herself, singing strange little songs...
she looks a bit crazy to me.
i am worried about her. i curl up on the couch and cry, not knowing what's wrong with my Mum.
i ask her, "are you alright Mum?"
"yes...no..not really" she replies.

i go into another room, and try to print designs onto two t-shirts (yesterday i visited a friend's t-shirt printing shop)
i do a bad job of it, and the t-shirts are ruined. i'm worried that my Mum will find out and be angry, so i hide the t-shirts out in the back garden.

i am back inside, and she's still acting crazy. it's unsettling.

i go back out to the garden, and find a pile of clothes that have belonged to me, throughout my childhood and young adulthood.
they are all in a heap, around the corner of the building, some in bin-bags, some just on the ground.
i recognise them as items i've lost or left behind, or thrown away..

i go in and ask my Mum about them. wondering why she put them in the garden.
"you threw them out!" she tells me.
i go and look at them again, some memories of times when i've been wearing certain items come to mind. moments from school, or at play, as a young adult getting up to mischief, Christmas dinner...

i don't feel like the child i was at the start of the dream. i am myself now.

i realise none of them fit me any more, and now feel it's okay that they've been discarded.

95% lucidity, a dream within a dream!

for the past few months, i've been dreaming in a state of what i'd call 95% lucidity.
i know i'm dreaming, and can sometimes take advantage of that knowledge, for example last week i dreamed i was in a war somewhere. this guy came at me with a rifle, to shoot me.
i knew i was dreaming, so i just stood there, open arms, and let him shoot me in the chest. no death, just a chuckle from me, then i flew into the air, much to the confusion of the rifle bearer, and proceeded to hover around 15ft up, flying over everyone taunting them. much fun!

the thing is tho, it has been a loooong time since i had that "aha!! i'm dreaming!" moment, where i can take full conscious control of the dream, and think about what i want to create, or even exit the dream and go OOB, or whatever...
i'm able to use my lucidity, yet i'm still only observing that happening. know what i mean?
it's like something has been stopping me from taking control that way, and i've been wanting to get back to that state, so the past few nights, i've been really focusing my intent at bedtime, to get fully lucid during the night's adventures...

each night, there's been something unusual going on, stuff that, when awake, i realised was an obvious clue for me to realise i was dreaming...
last night, was something i've never experienced.

i dreamed i was talking to an old friend/work colleague. i was telling him, how often i dream about him, and my other colleagues.
then i proceeded to describe to him, a dream i had just last week, where we all created huge works of art in the park round from my childhood home.
i totally went thru the whole dream with him, and was saying "yeah, i dream about working with you guys at least once a week".

if that's not a big old "HEY MISTER!!! YOU'RE DREAMING NOW!!!" sign, i don't know what is.

Doesn't this directly correlate with your tendency to break simulations? ;)

This might correlate with Kurt's most recents posts - you might be skipping necessary training in order to do these things. I would personally say that letting yourself be shot in full knowledge of that you cannot be hurt is absolutely amazing in terms of training yourself for nonphysical reality. It's basically a test of how conscious you are of the body you are in and its capabilities. So it seems like things get done. And as soon as you do that, you're able to fly.

So it might be "just" more of these 95% dreams till you "get your license" and then you can be off to do with your lucidity what you want. But maybe some "wax on, wax off" first. ;)

Cheers,
Oliver

Just to toss in another view -- the "tendency to break simulations" is not necessarily a bad thing. If I perceived myself to be in one (or to have been after the fact even) my first question would be "what business has anyone to insert a simulation into my dreamspace?" I've found myself in a few and have even managed to break them from outside (wasn't lucid at the time, but mental projected back in from the waking state, did some obliteratin' and they did not recur again). My own agenda is pretty well defined, and no simulation I have yet seen has had any relevance; just more unnecessary obstacles.

So I sez: in dreams as in life, there's more than one approach to any situation one might find themselves in. If someone decides to take it upon themselves to "train" me in something without my knowledge or consent, I'd just as soon detonate the place on my way out as a matter of principle. ;)

By the by, the title of this thread is somewhat synchronistic. At one point I was dreaming I was wandering around a street I used to live on, non-lucid, when the lyrics from a Symphony X song "dreeeeam within a dreeeeam" seemed to float through across the sky and triggered me lucid. Rawk.

The same thing happens to me very often recently. I call it semi-lucidity, but maybe your percentual expression of it is even better, so it might also be a 85-90% or something lucidity in my case too.

The prevalent underlying tendency and motif is this:

I have no more fear !!! :)

I've lost it completely. Regardless of what happens to me, e.g. if some negative entity comes, some bullies threaten me, someone holds a gun at me... I react rather indifferently, sometimes even amused, knowing that nothing really hurts me. It's amazing. I've just "unlearned" to have nightmares. :)

Recently some 3-4 bullies came up to my car with me sitting inside, they broke my windshield wipers and threatened me from the outside knocking and banging on my car. I was just starting the motor and my logical impulse was just best to retreat. I never even thought of getting fearful or mad. Then the roughnecks ran away because they might have thought I want to run them over with my car. I thought to myself 'how ridiculous, I am far from hurting them, I don't WANT to hurt them. I just want to leave and my peace, that's all'.

I am amazed how peaceful I have become lately, while in the distant past in dreams I had engaged in struggles and fights with entities in dreams, or escaped and run away in distress.

Just this last night, I had a dream like in the Hitchcock movie "The Birds" with swarms of birds coming down seemingly on the attack on humans (in a city/market place). I just thought to myself then, 'well .. how very interesting" . But I did not even cover or duck. I just made the dream vanish because I found the situation "possibly gettin' a bit inconvenient" 8) .
That's what I also do sometimes, instead of "playing along" with the dream I decide to leave "that simulation" and switch the dreamscape or wake up entirely.

But that 95% lucidity is also very annoying now for me, as now I try hard to become lucid (recently I use subliminal audio messages for this).
I keep asking myself why on earth don't I "break the simulation" by becoming really lucid instead of (a) becoming indifferent or (b) playing along as a fun sport or (c) switching/leaving that dream simulation?

Subconcsiously I always kind of "KNOW" I am dreaming which is proven to me by a,b and c. However, I cannot make use of it to get lucid and advance to higher levels (at least not often enough).

Annoying. This keeps me musing all the time now.

yep. exactly the same as me.
tho i do still find from time to time, some moments of fear, for example, i have a vertigo/fear of heights, which sometimes leaves me frozen in fear. yet, in other dreams, i simply let myself fall from whatever height i'm at, knowing that i'll land safely.

this makes no logical (real-world) sense, a fear is a fear, so it shouldn't affect me differently at different times, should it?
however, Kurt's explanation of the progression of awareness/control/limitations etc within each of the individual 'energy' bodies, with regards to which charkas are 'activated', suggests to me that maybe those dreams where i do experience the fear, are experienced in a body i have yet to gain full chakra activation in.
hmmm... that's an interesting realisation. i should maybe take a closer look at those dreams...

Not necessarily. There is rational fear (that is, fear of things you should fear, things that threaten you.) And visceral, illogical fear. Sometimes projections cause visceral fear, and one possible explanation is the effect of astral feedback on the amygdala- a fear that has no 'reason' associated with it, yet stronger than any fear associated by the theme of a dream or projection.
But I'm sure this is not what y'all are talking about here.

i've no fear of other beings. just last night i was being attacked by three guys, and i just stood there saying "NO! YOU DON'T TOUCH ME!"
and they stopped right where they were. then one dude tried to grab me, and i just kept blocking his movement's kung-fu style. he couldn't get a grip on me at all. it was like being Neo, i was just always faster than him. in the end it felt like a game.

Ditto on the heights thing. Sometimes I'm flying -which is mostly the natural thing for me in dreams- I almost never walk in dreams. But every once in a while, I'll be walking around, and all of a sudden I'll start to float like a balloon, and I'll have this irrational fear of 'falling' off the planet into space, and I'll panic horribly, I'll try to hold on to things. Then I'll ask others to keep me under a roof until I figure out how to control it.
I've had a few episodes of this irrational fear of heights that almost never happens in dreams, and it's almost like being another person, or living another life. I don't know how to say it in a way that makes sense.

My fear is claustrophobia, which can also be encountered and overcome in projection. I remember a sleep paralysis episode where I was enclosed in a coffin. In the case of such experiences, you just have to realise you're dreaming to release yourself.

I wanted to add this about fears:

The sudden triggering of fears, even old ones, might not be as random as it seems. It depends of the nature of experience. If CF sometimes fears heights and sometimes not, then in the first case she's trying to release a fear through processing it in the dreamstate (similar to what nightmares do) and in the second case she's having a dream/experience that does not have this purpose.

I had a series of fear-release dreams recently, and at first I thought something was wrong. In a Charles session it was explained to me that these dreams serve a purpose. Just as sometimes destructive dreams can serve the purpose of breaking down an inner belief structure. As soon as I understood this, I had another dream of the same nature, and as predicted, the charge and the fear reaction had been much less.

So, there's dreams that tell you stuff, and sometimes there are dreams that service a certain need. Releasing a negative emotion, for example. By being able to release them in the dream state a good deal of work can be done there, conveniently while you are asleep. These dreams might not even make much sense beyond that you recognise their basic nature after a while.

Cheers,
Oliver

What I'd really like to do with that is become conscious when it is happening, and let myself float away, to see what is at the end of the 'abyss' and finally face it. The problem is that I'm not 'lucid' lucid so the panic sets in at a visceral level and I have trouble thinking straight. I think if I realized I'm dreaming, completely realized it instead of (to coin Neil's term 75% lucid, or 'other-place lucid') I may take on an observer attitude and see where this takes me.

Hey, CF.

Who knows, maybe lucidity is not required for the visceral fear stored inside yourself to be released.

On the other hand, I had a dream recently where I was about to walk back down into the basement (bringing something back to physical reality). Something that scared me deeply happened - I heard steps approaching, which was the same thing on the basement steps that scared me as a child.

I snapped lucid (and lost sight), I conjured a unicorn (and heard it whinny!) and sent it down the stairs to clear them out. So being lucid might have actually helped in clearing that out further.

two nights ago, i did my usual dream-wake-dream-wake-dream-wake...
each time i dreamed, i was in some sort of social environment. it felt like a night-club, or perhaps a community centre.
i met groups of people i don't know, was introduced to them all, by whom, i don't remember.
there i would develop basic relationships with each individual. there were males and females. some i got on with, some not so much.
it was very much like a 'first day at school' sort of vibe.

this happened three times, with me waking after each dream.
each time, it was a new set of individuals. three groups.
when i went back to sleep for the fourth time, i found myself in a similar environment.
only this time, they were ALL there!
it was so bizzarre, like "oh, hey! it's you from my earlier dream!"
then i would remember the interactions i'd had with them, remembering the earlier dreams, in the later dream...
in the end when everyone was together, it felt a bit like a party... and for my benefit..

i wish i'd written this down yesterday.
three groups, definitely.
in each group, it seemed like there were 4 or 5, but i developed more defined relationships with only two (that i can remember) from each group. so i guess i'd make up the 3rd of 3, if we were looking for 3's.
i can only really remember the last one with clarity, where we all came together.
it seemed like all of the people were there, but only the two main characters from each of the previous dreams, were immediately around me and talking to me. so i ended up in a group of 7, including myself.
i remember it clearly, cos in the first one, there had been a girl, who i'd kinda been flirting with, and there was a guy, who seemed rather jealous of it, and gave me a less-than-friendly vibe.
when we were all together in the last dream, he was less hostile, and it was only him and the girl who came over to be in my immediate group. they were the last to appear, and i was already with 4 others at that time.

am i explaining this well? :?
there seemed to be lots of people in the background, but no interaction was taking place between them and myself...

It just reminded me of the symbol for development- the union of opposites begets the golden child- the male+the female=you, the golden child.

as humans partnering. each person in the partnering is 2, or two persons bring together 4. these two persons partnering plus these 4 brought together equal 6. the whole if the union is 7, or You.

this allows 3 for masculine and 3 for feminine, and One for the androgenous union = You, through the union's threefold manifestation.

this is why the singularity of individual spiritual seeking seems ever empty, always left still wanting, ceaseless searching.

this is simply because of the way 'life' as it is has unfolded, call it 7 days, call it whatever you like.

in the beginning was You....and on the 7th day You rested, between that is 6 sets of dualistic awarenesses, call them days, as each has light and dark in it.

to build on this is to jump into religious jargon, which ever prooves to derail topics. so i digress.

You are never not You, however, it is a 'matter' of awareness, that awareness being multi-dimensionally re-membered of its true self.

as the male then, all male reflectivity is your reflection, as far as partnering in the world with a potential mate. if you sensed jealousy then, it is merely your 'sense' revealed. as you said, when together it was not there, when separate it was there, as it would be, for as long as there is separation there is enmity in parts. the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, parts being of 6, the whole is 7. a week is not composed of 6 days, requiring a 7th day of rest. in this is what 'rest' is.

though, 'rested' is not an end to a means. it is new beginnings, that would from 'rested', give from one's true self stepping out. therefore, this wholeness stepping out, rested, steps from Sunday. why? because in the beginning was You, and 1-6, on the 7th day was rest for You.

the difference between being on an exhausting hamster wheel, never rested; and being Human.

this as well applys to a single given day, from dawns rising to night's falling, 0-7 = 8, or the hidden/secret day of light within the light of days.

words like 'alla' or alila (as in hebrew 'el nora alila' and even arabic meaning of alila), and ullu ka patha, tertullus, all languages embrace day and night; what it is for mankind and what it is for the spiritual human being.

we are many, that together we carry oneanother, to share grief together, to share joy together. to give with one's self, as in not being alone.

'ullu ka patha' is a 'special idiot/brilliant pupil/clear eyes', being as this one does not know what is good for them and has opened the life to what is beyond the misunderstood "self" thinking to know. this attracts trust, truth and fidelity, though this would seem as blind foolishness to the blindly fooled who require everything behind them already for fear of stepping into the unknown as childlike innocence.

yeah, the 'golden child'.

I used to also have a fear of falling off the earth and into space (in my dreams of course!).

I recently had a lucid dream where someone was trying to stab me in the stomach and since I knew I was dreaming I told them to go ahead and do it. I felt pain, but not as much as I thought I would. Then after that I was going around pouring apple juice on demons to turn them into angelic beings and send them into the sky...the juice was pretty tasty!

Anyways. I get vertigo from heights even in my dreams, but for some reason I decide to jump. Even when I'm not lucid. When I land I'm like "okay, scary but not that bad" so I do it again. I'm not very rational in my dreams!

I have also had those dreams of dreaming. I will be so tired in my dreams that I can't be bothered with what is going on. I just want to put my head down and sleep! I tell my dream characters to go away for a bit and let me sleep.

I went through a period of this, and it passed after a while. Kurt (Leland) indicated that it may be the shift to another nonphysical body. I agreed, after a good look at the content of the dreams.

i do that quite regularly. sometimes when i'm flying i'll go up so high that i'm looking down at the planet, then let myself fall backwards.
but in these moments i'm not afraid.
then others i get frozen with fear climbing up a tree or something... :?

CFTraveler, were you refering to my post when you said "shifting into another nonphysical body"? I read that when you are in the astral your astral body can fall asleep and you go into your mental body....but I was only having dreams that's different right? I'm confused!

Dreams are so weird, I don't think I will ever understand them.
Sometimes I have dreams where I am dying. When I was 4 months pregnant with my 2nd daughter I had a dream I was in another war torn country and I was captured along with several hundred other americans. They gave us all a card that said what our punishment would be. Some people's cards said that they would have to go back to america, some cards would say they would become slaves. My card said "death via lethal injection". We were all standing in single file line and I whispered to the person infront of me "hey , I'm 4 months pregnant can we switch cards?" Then I was put into the line for lethal injection people, I was crying because I was so scared. I watched the girl infront of me when it was her turn. She had a blank look on her face and they layed her down and gave her the shot and she fell asleep and died. I thought "maybe this wont be so bad" when it was my turn I asked them if they could take my baby out after I died so she would live. They never answered me.

So I layed down on the table and I was thinking about my life and how it was ending. They gave me the injection and I stopped breathing but my heart started racing and I went into painful powerful convulsions. My back arched and I started to shake really hard, it felt like every vein in my body was bursting, it hurt so bad. They were trying to hold me down. Then it stopped and I died. They checked my pulse and looked at their watches and pronounced me dead. Then they disapeared and I was greeted by the girl who died before me. She explained the rules about the afterlife and how reality would seem to fluctuate. Then I went on a mission to try and find a person that could see me so that they could tell my husband what happened. A lot of other stuff happened...but I think I bored everyone enough! When I start talking (typing) it's hard to stop! Pity my friends? :P

goodnight

much of the time when we dream, we're simply becoming aware, while projecting, in whatever subtle body. we just missed the exit from the body, or we shifted there from a 'normal' dreamstate. (whatever that is  :P )
i tend to think of all dreams as projections.

Hello, natalie.

Going to sleep or dying in dreams can be points of switching to another level of being. You might have had the inherent belief that you had to die to see the afterlife. The US here was most probably your own picture of physical reality.

So, people would return to wake in physical reality, and some would "die" and their consciousness wake up in the afterlife. The information you got from "the dead girl" confirms this - she introduces you into phenomena encountered when getting familiar with the higher planes (astral and upwards).

Fear-based distortions in recall or during the experience will be encountered until those fears have been largely released. They occur because practically all information from the higher planes is filtered through your own sets of desires (what you want to be true) and beliefs (what you think should be true), thereby sometimes greatly altering what actually is true - the actual energetic experience that you're trying to translate to yourself so it can be remembered in the physical body brain.

This will clear up over time. Dream journalling and dream interpretation are helpful tools in achieving this.

Cheers,
Oliver

lessons in reality manifestation and perception.

i really wish i'd had my computer or notepad nearby last night, as this dream was during the first dream cycle of the night, so the details are lost to me now... :|

i was with a few guys, who i used to be good friends with back when i was 7-10 yrs old.
i was teaching them about reality manifestation, and perception.
i started by explaining that when they were dreaming, what they perceived was a symbolic representation of what they were actually experiencing on an energetic level.
i took them into a shared dreamstate, and then explained how they could instantly manifest with a thought.
we all practiced.

then i woke them, took them into waking reality, and was explaining that it was no different here. that reality manifested symbolism, and if we are aware, we can notice this and have a greater understanding of what our reality is trying to show us.
i explained that physical manifestation took longer to happen, and also that our beliefs created filters, which limited our individual manifesting potential.
there was one guy there, who i know was into mind altering substances in his young adulthood. i told them that his filters were different to the others, because he'd opened the doors of perception, and was open to many more possibilities.

then we did an exercise, where two of the guys would climb up on a wall, facing each other, and attempt to feel their reality manifesting, from an energetic level, thru to the physical, and then try to focus their thoughts to manifest something specific, to varying degrees of success. 8)

In other words, you put them into a simulation. ;)

I don't think you could have actually taken them to physical reality, you took them to a simulation environment to emphasize the principles. You were acting as the teaching entity creating the simulation - both in creating the shared dream space and the physical reality simulation.

Lower Astral, or just an unpleasant dream?

ok, a bit of background about one of the characters might be necessary here - S is a guy i knew a few years ago. he was a bit of a strange dude. he didn't fit in very well with my social circle, due to the way his mind worked. he had such an active mind, very inquisitive, analytical, but bordering on paranoid at times. as such, he often ended up in arguments with people about all sorts of things, and kinda just annoyed folk when he was around.
he was basically a good guy, he had a heart of gold, but he just couldn't make his mind quiet enough to fit in socially.
as my friendship with him went on, he would ask me for advice about stuff that was bothering him, but never take my advice. in fact, he'd usually just try to argue his point until i got tired of trying to help him.

at some point, he tried to kill himself. he hung himself, but didn't die.
i was one of only two people i know of, who went to visit him in the mental hospital in Edinburgh.
not long after that i moved to Holland and lost touch with him.
he was released at some time, and moved to a different city. a couple of years later, someone told me he'd been beaten to death by some guy. to be honest, i wasn't surprised. it was only a matter of time before he tried to have one of his 'conversations' with the wrong guy.

i always felt a little bit guilty, that i could've been a better friend and kept in touch or whatever...

fast forward to a month or so ago...i received a letter from this guy, who i thought was dead!
anyway, he's in Carstairs, which is a prison for the criminally insane.
turns out he's alive
it was just an introductory letter, no details allowed to be exchanged, simply asking if i would be interested in having contact with him, either by letter, or visiting.
i haven't replied yet, i'm not sure what i want to do. my compassion for this human, and my curiosity about what it'd be like to visit this place, have me considering visiting him... but i'm not sure yet...

ok, to the dream -

so, i'm with S. we're in some kind of old looking city back streets.
we go down a long flight of stairs. there are lots of people around.
we get to the bottom, and there are some nasty looking men there.
they try to grab hold of us, and i resist. but they surround us, and make it clear we're not getting back up the stairs.
i'm getting ready for a fight with them, tho i don't fancy my chances much.
then they tell us that they only want to borrow our bikes for an hour. (our bikes are up at the top of the stair. in my mind i see an image of my bike. it's a black mountain bike. not my actual bike, which i often dream of)
i say ok then.
then they proceed to put some sort of restraint around our heads. it's some sort of cord, which they jam between two of my teeth, which is uncomfortable. then we're told we cannot leave this place until they return. we're also instructed that we can only walk in one direction, which leads us thru some narrow alleys, and up a set of winding stairs, beside which, are numerous doorways.
we start walking, up these stairs, and get to the top, which brings us in a circle back to the stairs we initially came down. so we're walking up, round, down, up again...
everywhere we go, there are foul looking individuals. ugly, sick looking folk. dodgy characters everywhere.
as we pass a doorway, S decides to take a look inside.
it's a tattoo shop.
a dirty Thai tattoo shop, which also seems to be some sort of Chinese medicine dispenser. there are big bottles on shelves with dead animals and all sorts of unsavoury looking things in liquids..
the people in there are either working or waiting to be served.
S decides he wants a tattoo, so he starts talking to the woman there.
i look at him, and see his face is covered with sores, and he is sweating and looking bad.
i think to myself that he's gonna get infected if he gets tattoo'd, so i attract his attention and tell him not to do it.
he waves me off, saying he's always wanted a tattoo.
so i leave him there, feeling crappy, knowing he's gonna get infected and might die.
i go out of the shop, and keep walking, the eternal steps up and down, round and round...
then, as i come down the steps to the bottom level, he appears.
i ask to see the tattoo, so he shows me.
he is wrapped in clear plastic. he tells me he has to keep it covered for a while.
i look at it, and can tell it's not a real tattoo. it's just a big sticker, he's been ripped off.
i ask how much he paid - 700 euro he tells me.

i tell him what it is, and he starts blaming me, saying i should've stopped him.

at this point i've had enough of this place. i pull the cord thing out from in between my teeth, and start to run up the stairs, going in the opposite direction from what we've been told is allowed.

i wake up. feeling a little uneasy about this dream.
my instant thought was that it was a visit to a lower astral level. however, i have no experience with that, so i can't be sure.
the whole eternal stairway thing, and being restricted in movement seemed like a "hell"ish scenario...

any thoughts?

My first thought is that your subconscious/superconscious just showed you how it is to be in the mind of your friend there, and if you establish a relationship with him again you will be exposed to uncomfortable realities. It's stuff you already know, but I think your s/s just reminded you of how it is to be with this person.
I also think the bit on your mouth represents the guilt you feel if you don't respond, and the knowledge that nothing you can say will help him (in the case of changing his worldview) but that your presence may be what he needs, and this brings you contradictory feelings- part of you wants to give him some solace, part of you recoils at the prospect, and that is not easy to reconcile.

Hello, Neil.

I think your friend reflects several things back at you. You could seem him as a wayward reflection, exposing undesirable qualities you recognise as such, and then you can trace the decisions he's made (the causes) to their consequences (effects).

I think CF's interpretation is a good one. You see yourself and your friend as having come into this life from the soul level, only to find yourself constrained by the mental body. The mental elemental is driven by likes and dislikes and overrides the truth of the soul by its own judgement, which you see in your friend. You try to provide him with better judgement, looking at all the forces in play (his health, the environment, the look of the tattoo parlor), but he graps his own idea of what will make him happy and runs with it. He didn't get what he bargained for, though.

While you are in the process of breaking that restraint and leaving these limitations behind you, your friend takes the mental elemental's stance. This is clearly apparent by the arguing. The mental body often argues with the soul's impulses and intuitions, screening out the soul's wisdom. Someone deeply entrenched into the mental body will try to block the soul and its guidance out, but you chose different.

Your mobility is restrained in several ways in this dream - the constraining headwear (being bound by an attitude that favors mental body reasoning), your bicycle is (temporarily) taken away (your access to the soul body) and you're forbidden to leave the place you're in (the mental elemental wants to be in charge). You can see how all of these inflexibilities lead you in circles, not upwards. You see how the mental body way needs to be overcome. So in this sense it's a summary of what you're doing and trying to achieve, and what you confront while doing it.

Also, the ego has not the creativity of the soul. It only comes up with old solutions for new challenges - narrow alleys with limited choices of where you can go. The doors and stairs lead nowhere but where you already are because the real solution comes from the soul, the impulse to learn and grow by taking the challenge and be guided through it, following your intuition and guidance instead of limited/ing ways of dealing with the problem. The repetitive approach to problems (trying the same solution till it clearly works no longer or even beyond that) is exposed here by the theme of repetition.

The foul-looking and dodgy characters may not necessarily mean the lower astral. It could be an attitude of being afraid. The mental body feels threatened, unlike the soul it has no inherent immortality. This causes fear, for example survival fears. The feeling of being afraid for your own existence.

The only way out is the way in - you got incarnated into the body to evolve your way back up to the soul level. Society and the environment, being deeply steeped in the mental body's reasoning tell you not to, but you override this.

Cheers,
Oliver

Stay Puft Marshmallowman

last night i set an intention, to communicate with, or be aware of, the "highest" aspect of myself possible.

ended up running around trying to avoid being caught by the Stay Puft Marshmallowman from Ghostbusters!
he was massive, just like the film. kinda cute looking, but scary in his huge insistance on trying to pick me up, so i was running, dodging under scaffolding, hiding behind cars, whatever.

i woke up rather quickly, and was thinking, that wasn't what i had had in mind when i set my intention.
again i set the same intention, and went to sleep again.

again, same scenario.
in the city, massive marshmallow dude searching for me, trying to pick me up.
i ran, i hid.
it became to feel like a game. i wasn't really scared, as such. but i wasn't ready to find out what would happen if he did get to pick me up.
i guess i probably should've, huh?

Just speculating here...

The highest aspect of your personal psyche is in terms of consciousness a giant. Remember what Dan Akroyd's line was:

Ray: [resignedly] It's the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.
Venkman: Well, that's something you don't see every day.
Ray: I tried to think of the most harmless thing– something that I loved from my childhood, something that would never ever possibly destroy us: Mr. Stay-Puft.
Venkman: Nice thinking, Ray.

So it could be a visual pun for "Something totally gigantic and really impressive, but also means you no harm." Visual puns often work with a principle of "next-best thing," even if it's not an exact match. I recently had a sensual pun in a dream where the water was sweet to express "sweet water" as opposed to salty, even though sweet water isn't sweet.

Oliver

and David, the boy king, with a sling and stone, slew the Giant. this in the midst of seasoned warriors trembling in great fear. same metaphor

the rock of faith, the chief corner stone. all the way to its finality, "it is finished".

the stone thrown away by the builders. david, unable to build the vision beyond the model, passed it to his son, his son the overseer of building, plans put in the hands of many, each with a vested part, or a personal piece of the construction.

david, putting the Lord on his right hand, till such time as the kingdom was taken/won, and handed to the rightful One, the Stone thrown from a sling in the slaying of the Giant.

humble and humility, standing down in understanding. in parts we each may barely see our individual part, for only the whole, the One, knows all parts. thrown clear, having no part, sacrificed in the slaying of the Giant.

why? because it is our Human nature, that as disconnected parts in the doing, unable to reckon the whole, that we would in this ignorance choose Barrabas.

the protagonist require the antagonist, the christ requires that which is anti-christ. the temporal and temporary plan requires the temporal and temporary time of building.

yet, "it is finished", standing fully constructed in our very midst. the light is in the darkness, and the darkness knows it not. the kingdom without is ready-finished, awaiting the kingdom within to have first been seen. and this 'seen' scene is through violence awakened to, from within to without, from the first to the last.

yet, such words are deemed as darkness, and the light is a 'stay puft marshmallow man'. yea, God is good to God's children, knowing the childlike imaginations and what is in that great state of ignorance, acceptable fodder for such limited reasoning capabilities.

the child wishes for the vigilante, for lawlessness to defend against the offending lawless. err, we accept a supreme sacrifice of standing down? hmmmm...we shall see.

look at the sweep of discipleship, left and right, of Him whom stood down. to His farthest right, Nathaniel without guile. to His farthest left, Simon the Zealot rage filled to cut the throats of his religious/political enemys. there is no human archetype that is not within that sweeping range of grasp.

symbolic truth lost to the literality of the word, it the very Barrabas set loose by our ignorance upon our ignorance. lawlessness vs the lawless

watching a simple show like "super nanny", we can see parents learning to compassionately discipline a child whom has unknowingly ceased control. like the last show, the parents took turns for over 30 minutes, for a total of 67 times, in placing their child in a time out. finally on that 67th return to timeout, the child quieted, received it's two minute time out, and then was received by it's parents with a hugs and kisses.

this is what is meant, when Jesus explains forgiveness to His disciples, on how many times one is to forgive, toward the final surrender of unknowingly ceased control. because of this brevity, the life, the human maturation from infant to adult, we lose sight of the bigger picture held in time's sweeping grasp.

we 'think' to be, as the human adult, knowing and abled to choose rightly, so much so as to oppose any other's personal choice for their rightly. what a free-for-all clamouring for king of the mountain.

how many 'time outs' have we each fought and raged against, only to have to come again, and again, and again...? can life be known in a time out, or is life that which is understood of time in?

in another thread CPW gives a quote about the Universe. it is right on the money. To quote Carl Sagan, "We are star stuff which has taken its destiny into its own hands."

in that quote, as star stuff, we've taken what is the Universe's Alone to administer as One Destiny.

Carl Sagan doesn't say here that we as star stuff received the right to have done so. he is more at making a profound 'bigger picture' statement about our collective ignorance as that stuff, or parts, of the greater whole.

but, because we 'take' things literally, we imagine that Sagan has gifted us with praise worthy justification. therefore, our star stuff hands are wrong, for that matter, our human hands are wrong. lawlessness vs the lawless - ultimately as star stuff this means that we are universally cannibalistic. needless to say, this is as well true in our human nature.

O' ye giants of yore, stars of the universe, man professing humanous; stand down and understand.

imagine....; if there be ETs round and about watching, what suppose we, that they've followed in coming here? why it is no more, than to have sought out their absent minded lords and ladys (star stuff) of our Universe to this Great Valley where the Shadow of Death blankets the forgetfull who came here in their universal stead to slay this Giant that is Death, this that has universally loomed as darkness since the dawn of ages throught our One Universe. However, One Lord, forlorn, having called it finished, sent out a ring from this central throng, a signal of specific time's victory that in playing out through following time, gave time for all in all to attend the 'finality' of universal death. perhaps....being speculatory

a child cannot know what an adult is. nor can we know as mankind, the universal enormity of what being a human is. let freedom ring.....stand down and understand.

Beach UFO
I just woke from this..

my family and i are on a trip to a beach-house somewhere. we are getting out of the car, unpacking bags from the back. there are other cars in the car parking area, it looks like a busy spot. we've been here before.
my Mum and Sister go on down to our beach house, i am by the car with my step-Dad. he opens a bag, and offers me a spare rib to eat.
it is strange, like coated in breadcrumbs. i eat it, it's good.
we walk down towards the beach house, and we are passed by a group of people, 6 adults, 3 men 3 women. the women have metallic silvery blue wigs on. my step-Dad recognises them, they wave to each other, making phone gestures at each other. they walk off into the long grass towards the trees...just as they do, they all look into the evening sky..
i look up and see the lights of an engine at the tail end of some kind of flying craft. it's difficult to tell what it looks like. all i can see is the light at the back, the rest is dark like the sky...it moves of silently..
he and i go into the beach house and unpack the food in the kitchen.
we are standing looking out the kitchen window, overlooking the long grass of the beach, and the water in the distance.
i'm aware of one of our cats roaming around in the grass out there...

suddenly a large grey, long haired cat appears, and looks at me. i send out welcome vibes to it, so it comes in thru the window.
it's a tough old looking thing, one eye is missing. i stroke her head. i get the feeling it's female.
she purrs, and seems friendly, but we both know she's looking for food.
i tell her she's not gonna get any food, cos we can't have her hanging around and disturbing our cats.
she seems to understand, and looks a little put out. she raises one paw as if getting ready to swipe at me.
i pull away and tell her it's time to go...so she leaves...

i go into the interior of the house, where i meet Saul Tai from Battlestar Galactica
the house is dark, no lights are on, only the dim light from the moon is shining thru the windows.
that light suddenly becomes brighter, and Tai says "that's no moon!"
i go back thru to the kitchen, to ask my step-Dad to come have a look. he's ex-military, so he might have some idea what kind of craft we're gonna see in the sky.
i get to him, and start to talk excitedly, but then i see he is standing where i left him, but his eyes are closed, he's completely unconscious.
i stick my head outside and look up.
directly above the house is a huge ship. i can only see the bottom of the underside, which looks like a smooth bowl. it glows white, but not blindingly bright, and there is a mist all around it.
i decide i'd better try to get out into the night, and watch what happens from the cover of the long grass.
i have to get a coat to wear, so i hesitate for a second. then, i see a dark shape of someone climbing down from the roof of the house, outside the kitchen...i sneak back into the house, looking for another way out. i go to the bathroom, thinking of climbing out the window, but as i get there, i see another dark form climbing in that way. in the frame of the door, the being turns around, and i barge it with my shoulder.
i'm not really afraid of it, i just don't wanna get caught. i also am not really trying to hurt it, just to make it leave me alone.
it's unclear whether these beings were human or not.

i woke.

that light suddenly becomes brighter, and Tai says "that's no moon!"

It's a space station!

It's so typical of you to have such strong rapport with an animal, you shaman you. ;) :D

I don't know the new BSG series, but from a picture search I see that the character you mention also has only one eye (and an eye patch), as the cat did. Do you think they were the same being?

yeah, it was exactly like that moment! hehe.

indeed. it was such a big, beautiful animal, even tho it was battle scarred.

oooh, you could be onto something there. it was the same eye that was missing too!
i did have a feeling the cat was somehow involved, or "in the know", about the UFO.

for the past 3 days, i've been saying affirmations, and meditating with the intention to remember past/alternate lives.
it's become important in the past few days, the urge to re-integrate any fragments/lifetimes, in the quest for complete-ness.

3am. i just woke from a dream, with that feeling - this is one of those memories, i must record this.
it was a very unusual dream. more like a series of "flashbacks", memories of moments, relating to a story. a story that seems to concern two main characters, one of whom is dead, and trying to clear his/her name/reputation/memory in the eyes of the other.

the two characters appeared to me as Starbuck and Apollo from Battlestar Galactica series. it is the nature of their relationship, the closeness they shared, which is the reason i saw them as these two characters.
the dream is seen from the perspective of the Starbuck character, who is dead. something happened, possibly to do with his/her (i'll call her female for the ease of writing, tho i'm not entirely sure) death, or events just before it, which left Apollo believing she'd been untrue in some way.

she is looking in on him, years after passing. he is older. he is a teacher in what looks like a university. the university they both attended in life, together. (it might not be a university, it could be a military training facility, definitely some place of learning)
there are flashes of memories of moments they shared in life. green grass. a courtyard full of students. memories of bonds forming between them.
there is a memory of a statement being made, sworn, by Starbuck, in front of a teacher/senior military character.
she is telling the story of some event that took place. it is to remain a secret. at the end of the statement, i hear her saying her name (i don't recall),and stating where she was stationed/living - east wing...(some building)...Oxford...
this statement is recorded in some fashion.

the deceased Starbuck creates a series of "coincidences"/signs, that lead Apollo to find this statement. the contents of which are proof of her innocence/non-responsibility, in the events which left him believing the wrong thing about her.
i see him, and two other people sitting in a room.
they are listening to/reading, the statement.
in the statement, she describes her actions, in which the two others were also involved.
they confirm the truth of it.
Apollo knows the truth. his memory of her is now based on truth.
she is released. she can move on now...
there is so much emotion released in this moment, by both characters.
i woke up weeping. i still feel the emotions strongly while typing this.
i had to get this down while it was fresh in my mind. :)

I'm with a friend, out in the streets of some town at night. It's geographically the park at my childhood home (the location of most of my "significant" dreams), but there is a whole residential scheme that doesn't exist there now. houses with back gardens surrounded by fences, and small alleys running in between them all. it's like a little maze of alleyways.

suddenly i see a lot of flashing light a little distance away. there is noise, the sound of some type of air-craft, possibly helicopters.
i see beams of blue light coming down out of the darkness, illuminating the ground, and the houses.
people are running out of their houses, to see what's going on.
the lights shining down make it impossible to see the craft, all i can see of each one is three lights, making a triangle in the darkness up there. from the centre of the triangle, the beam of light shines down. there are two or three of these craft moving around above the town.
people are running away from the craft. the alleys are full of people.
i try to get closer, to see better what's really happening. i have to push thru crowds of people panicing.
i go into someone's garden, and start climbing over fences, in order to get closer, but avoid the people, and stay out of the beams of light.

soon, leaflets begin to fall from the sky. blue posters, hard to read in this blue light.
people are picking them up, reading them.
they say that these craft are visitors from other worlds, and that we are to prepare for first contact.
there is a picture of what is obviously a robot, much like a centurion from BSG.

the people around all seem to think this is amazing, and are all calm and getting excited about this.
i know it's clearly man-made. the beings in the pictures are robots, not ETs.
i start telling everyone, it's fake. these aren't the real ETs, do not trust them.
we must not trust them.
nobody listens to me. i keep trying, but they're all fooled.
i start to make my way home, to prepare for whatever is to come...

Just in passing... I imagine ALL ET's are 'man-made'. They are products of our psyche. That's why I liked the words of Mishlove from PK Man. (see signiture)

So for you to want to warn the other citizens that the ET's are fake - not the real thing, points to the conclusion that we must prepare for the 'real thing'. All I'm saying is what makes the 'real thing' the REAL THING anyway?

Neil Templar

so are you saying that the idea of ETs is nothing more than something we've (the human race) imagined into our reality.

Hello, Neil.

There's an announcement about the arrival, and you see it's fake. Maybe it's more about the nature of these announcements that creep up from time to time? Like a Ceylon centurion is a creation of human fantasy. You do see however how these announcements seem to mesmerize many people.

I wouldn't, however, extend this into an answer whether there is alien intelligence or not. The experience doesn't seem to answer that question at this point.

Cheers,
Oliver

so i'm dreaming i'm being chased by some sort of nasty predator. it is a very menacing presence. dark, like a black shadow.
there is a female presence, perhaps i'm female, i'm unsure.
i seem to be viewing the dream from more than one perspective...

i hear the thing growling behind me.
i turn and see a huge black wolf, stalking me.
there is a wall between myself and the wolf, but there is a place where the wall has fallen apart, so the wolf can easily get thru.
i pull a shotgun out, and point it right at the wolf, standing my ground.
my perspective shifts, and i see from the wolf's view, a girl standing pointing a shotgun at me.
back in normal perspective i keep the gun pointed, the wolf stays where it is, not retreating, not advancing.
i am not afraid.

a new scene manifests, i am male in this one, i think.
the wolf is back, but this time it is a man, with black hair.
he is trying to attack me, by biting me. his teeth are as sharp as razors.
i hold his head, my hand spread right across his face. he is snapping at my hand, but misses touching my skin, only by millimeteres.
i am looking at those teeth, knowing how sharp they are, but again, i'm not afraid.

he gives up trying to bite me. as he's walking away, i give him a playful slap on the ass.
now he turns round and says "oh now you're getting playful, eh?!"
now he seems to talk on a feminine form, and he develops breasts, which i give a cheeky squeeze.
then we start kissing, and things are starting to get steamy...
as we are about to have sex, a bunch of people appear, so we have to stop fooling around.

i guess this was me dealing with a shadow aspect of myself.
it begins as a dark shadowy presence. then takes form as the "big bad wolf"...
i stand up to it, and it takes another less scary form, a human...
i tackle it again, and it stops trying to attack.
then another change of appearance, into a desirable form...
and by the end we are connecting intimately. :D

Yes definitely, fraternizing with the shadow. It doesn't seem to be nearly as menacing as it makes it self to be once you stop running from it.It sometimes even hands you back something you've think you've lost touch of.

last night was one of those all-night adventures, in and out of this particular scenario. i'll try to put it together as it happened, but it'll perhaps be a bit jumbled...

i'm in a residential area. rows of houses, gardens, streets, alleyways between streets...it's kinda similar to where i grew up.
anyway, i go to a school type of building, where there are many other people.
there i meet a guy, who i get on well with. we become friends.
turns out he is the Prince of the land we're in.
at the end of the class, we're all getting ready to leave... the Prince has security waiting for him. Secret Police types, men-in-black kinda characters.
i go over to where all our bags are lying, but i can't find mine.
i go to go back into the main room, where we had been studying. the Prince is in there, and his security guys won't let me in.
i start arguing with them, saying they have to let me in to find my bag. the Prince comes over, and tells them it's okay, we're friends, they can let me in.
i go in, but my bag is nowhere to be seen.
i go back to double-check where the other bags are again, and i see my bag on the floor. one of the security guys is putting it down, the contents are scattered on the floor beside it, and he has my dream journal and another notebook of mine in his hand. he hurries away, as i run up shouting at him to stop.
another security guy moves in front of me, blocking my path, and the other guy disappears round a corner.
i pick up my bag, and put all the stuff into it.
the security guy there, gives me a couple of mobile phones, saying "here, use these".
i look at them.
they look like they're supposed to look like my phone. like i'm supposed to believe they're my phone, and use them.
i'm now pretty pissed off with these security guys, but realise there's nothing i can do about it.

next, i'm out in the housing estate. i see the Prince, and the rest of his family going into a house.
around the house i can see more of these secret police types, in cars, or lurking around the streets, trying to be unseen.
they're not very good at their job.
i see one hiding in a bush, and i go over and sit directly on him, pretending i hadn't seen him.
i feign surprise when i discover him crouched there beneath me. he looks slightly embarrassed, and doesn't know what to do.
i laugh at him. he tells me i'm not allowed to be near the home of the royal family.
i move off...

in another street, i have a feeling of being constantly watched...
i meet an old man in his garden.
we start talking.
he is talking about something i don't really understand, until he says the words "astral projection".
i ask if he's into astral projection, he tells me he has mastered it, and has been doing it most of his life.
apparently he was taught it as part of his military training.
he tells me i must master it, and it will change everything for me.
it's getting dark. i sit down by the wall outside his front door. i realise i have nowhere to go in this world...
from this point on i start to think of this place as a matrix, and the men in black are like the agents in the movie.
it feels like almost every character could be their eyes and ears, yet there seem to be one or two helpful characters around, like the old man.
just then, he appears out of his house, with a little packet of biscuits, and hands them to me. i thank him, telling him he is very kind, and i eat one. delicious. :)
just then, i look over the gardens, to the sky, and see a shape materialising among the clouds.
a flying craft of some type. small, silent, i assume it is some sort of observation vehicle. from that moment on i assume they have infra-red cameras, so just hiding in bushes or behind walls won't be enough to avoid the men in black.
i move off into the night...

i meet Luke, one of my housemates. he is outside a house, which i assume is his.
we are talking, i'm telling him about the agents, that they're watching me, even tho i don't know what it is i'm supposed to have done wrong. all i did was make friends with the Prince, tho now i'm not really thinking of him as a prince, more like part of whoever is in control of this matrix.
just then, another character appears. a younger person. i can't tell if it's male or female.
it has very similar features to Luke. i decide it's his little Brother.
he asks me "wheres your pass?"
"i don't have one!"
"you need a pass to get thru the checkpoints on the road to get in here!"
"well i didn't come in by road" i tell him, starting to get even more annoyed by this constant suspicion of me.
why is it seemingly not okay for me to be here, or to be anywhere near the "royal" family?
he's got me annoyed again, so i tell him (rather aggressively) to mind his own business, and refer to him as "Luke's little Sister" just to try to annoy him back. he goes away...

now i'm walking along a dark path, with the Prince.
i tell him that his agents have taken some of my things, and given me dodgy looking phones.
he just says "i know".
apparently it's to be expected or something. he gives no more explanation...

now i'm in another street, trying to avoid being seen.
i have left my bag behind somewhere, thinking that if the phones were being used to track me, they'd think i was somewhere back in the darkness...

i meet a young woman, she wants to help.
we climb thru a hole in a wall, and are on some kind of roof. over the edge of the roof, i see a lake or a pond.
we slide down the slope of the roof, to the edge. she uses a rope to get down to the water. i just look over and see it's not too far, so i jump...
we are in the water, and i'm thinking the cold of it might hide my body heat from any infra-red cameras that might be searching...
just then we hear voices, agents running thru the night, searching.
i duck down into the water, hiding under the edge of the ground by the pool-side.
i can see men in black running past, right above where i am hiding. she doesn't have to hide.
she tells me to fasten up the buttons on the front of my shirt, cos the white t-shirt is showing underneath. she also says that the brown, from the mud on my shirt, might give me away. :?
the agents pass by, and we get out of the cold water...

that's about all i recall. perhaps some more will come to me...

was this a simulation, or perhaps an astral zone with inhabitants just trying to keep an eye on me?
