View Full Version : Dream Programming Experiment 7: The Awakeners / Prompters

Tonight I did a programming that was not even intended. But I already experienced things like this before (unprogrammed), so it makes a lot of sense to try it out. Moreover, as it seems, I seem to have yet another strong ally in the non-physical now. Well, probably.

As I already mentioned, I have the impression that sometimes in dreams, (past or current) friends or (dead/alive) relatives of mine try to 'wake me up' (=get me lucid). Here is one example I gave: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=23606 (http://forums.astraldynamics.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=23606)
There are much more of these examples happening recently. People, friends and kinship, behaving strangely and forcing me to react. As you know me, I like to give fancy labels to concepts. So I call them the 'Awakeners', 'Prompters' or 'Lucidators' now. :)

First, some background: As a child and adolescent I had a granny I liked a lot. She came to visit us quite often for some days and we always had a lot of fun. She died in 1989. She was a strong, lively and resolute person. (I assume she still is). She had 7 children and thus left a lot of offspring (following multitudes of grand- and grand-grand-children up to now).

And she can do some 'magic' and uphold communications on this physical plane still, as it seems. My father (her son) told me two stories.

One was that he should get money from a kind of life insurance from her. He knew the exact amount (to the penny!) from her already when she was still alive. After her death, somehow it did not work as the money was not released or released differently. He later won some money in a lottery. It was the EXACT (to the penny!) amount he should have gotten anyway! Hardly a coincidence, if you ask me.

The second is this: Only recently (last Xmas eve) he told me of (what he called) a 'strange dream' when he was flying upwards and then saw his mother standing on a bridge. She beckoned him and commanded him (she could be very stern with her children!): "Not your time now! Go back! Immediately!". He obeyed without hesitation (... it's his mother, after all  ). He then flew down again. Just before he woke up he saw his bedroom from above including his wife (my mother) lying there next to him. It was all pretty realistic. Well, you might have guessed already, if you ask me: That was a classical Astral Projection! :)

So this is what happened before tonight's dream: As told here elsewhere already (long story) I try to win a lottery now. As the first example showed, my granny might be capable at least to help with it. So I asked here in prayers if she could also do sth to help me.

Tonight, only VERY incidentally and just once, I also asked her if she could "also" pop up in my dreams and tell me sth like "hey [my name], this is a dream, get lucid!".

So, finally, here's the dream: I was on a boat on a river, where a class was taking place. The teacher was talking and we were also looking into our school books simultaneously. There were dialogues in those books (maybe it had to do with language and/or communication?). I don't know what the topic was about exactly.

We were sitting as a class on deck chairs (no tables). It was a sunny day. Someone gives me a friendly nudge from the left side. It is my granny. So she is my classmate and seat neighbour on the left. She does not talk, but she shows me the book and the page we are on. There is a dialogue further down on the page. I don't know (anymore) what it all was about, but one thing strikes me: There was my name in it (as one of the dialogue characters). I only tell her that I do not hope that the teacher is going to pick on me now because of this "coincidence" . My goodness, you might have guessed it, I failed again to get lucid.

My granny kept her word. She was there and even somehow addressed me with "my name". I have not yet analysed more of the possible symbolism that was in the class'room' situation, the book, the river and the boat, the deck chairs, the written dialogue with me in it. But it already is another truly amazing result for me.

There is always the question (like in all my programming dreams) how this comes about, but even more in this one: Is it really my Granny's soul/personage who heard my request and acted? Is it a projection of mine? Is it a helper/guide acting as my granny? My higher self? I can't be sure. But one thing is very sure, and that is my primary interest in doing this: Programming works for me! Not yet good enough to get lucid, but I'm working on it.
I will keep trying now. Next time I will again direct my request to my granny to come again into my dreams all the time and literally shake and jolt me awake. Maybe it works next time. And even if not, me (and gran) might have some fun along the way. :P

Loved your Dad's stories! Great dream too. When you're done winning the lottery, please send granny to visit me.

It's kind of catchy... Could be a movie title

A very interesting post again!

Here's another 'awakener', this time not a deceased one.

I noticed this guy now popping up quite a few times over a certain period - in dreams and lucidventures. He's not always acting as 'prompter / awakener'. At least not directly. He rather seems to come as my/a guide.

Actually, a few months ago I also did affirmations asking my (main) guide to tell me his name and show his face. Well, it could be that he did the second thing now already (granting me my wish). He still owes me the first one, I decided to just call him "Tom" for the time being. (Well, but who knows ... maybe that is more than just an intuition?).

Here is an example of him in a 'projection' from my Lucidiary. I am very certain now he was the man at the machines smiling at me. I also had commented on this suspicion when I wrote it: "I come to a stop when I see a man on a platform on some machines operating, he pauses when he sees me and looks at me with a slight, expectant smile. It might be that I saw him in dreams before. Unfortunately, before I can find out more, I cannot hold it and 'vanish' again."
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=23524&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=45#p146803 (http://forums.astraldynamics.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=23524&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=45#p146803)

It is annoying in hindsight that I vanished then before we started our little chat. Man, I could have spoken to him in LUCID state! :(

Here are unlucid / dreaming examples where I also 'met' him:

Actually I wrote in my analysis: "I also remember that one of the two office clerks (a man about his 30ies) was smiling at me for a short moment, as if he knew me or so. I did not know any of the people involved, though."
viewtopic.php?f=19&t=23360#p145682 (http://forums.astraldynamics.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=23360#p145682)
However, as much as this is true that I did not know these people from my physical life, I now can say on second thoughts that it was the same guy again. And as I wrote also: he smiled a kind of "hello-again" smile. Looking at me in an almost prompting way, as if he expected me to recognise him or to react. I, however, despite noticing his expression of familiarity towards me, remained in the background while the scene unfolded (and then quickly changed again).

Here another example, a dream not posted before, I copy it with only slight edits (making it anonymous and cutting out irrelevant parts) from my journal now. It's the same man. But beware, sensitive ones, it gets a bit 'gross' now:

April 30th, 2011
Roughneck at the station:
from the railway station I walk into the city direction
A guy in strikingly green training/sports outfit makes naughty and obscene gestures to me
I denying to socialise with him in any way, shake my head and go on, not willing to have to do sth with this
then suddenly he is behind me, pats me on the shoulder,
makes me turn around and beats me with his fist on the head (or next to it, somhow on the right side of my front)
Before I can react (I did not feel anything) he suddenly apologises and smiles.
I ssay it is okay and that it did not hurt anyway
I go on, seeing other people there
ANALYSIS
I was reacting very peacfully to vieolence, which is good.
I wonder if this was a test again.
Also it could have been another lucidity awakening, the guy looked again a bit like the one I saw more often now, possibly my guide?
I call him the „lucidator“ from now on.

I also assume him to be posing as one of my relatives sometimes because his face seems to 'shine through' at the end. These relatives/friends of mine are in situations behaving so strangely again, saying stupid things and forcing me to react (and get lucid...). Thus here he would be again in a role as awakener. But this is not certain.

I give two examples, both with my father (who then could have been "Tom"):
First example: We sit in the kitchen, my father tells me that the police is searching a murderer who burnt 29 babies (why exactly 29? no idea!) and that they suspect me to be the killer. I just am confused because I 'know' I am not a killer, not of babies nor of anyone else, and phase out of that gross dream scene at will - but do not get lucid.
Second example: We sit in the garden, my father tells me that it's in the news that the 'GDR' guys have sunk a Chinese sub in the ocean now. (GDR - German 'Democratic' Republic was Eastern Germany before unification, I'm from Western Germany that was acronymed FRG - Federal Republic of Germany, then). This is somehow from cold war times (80ies and before). Makes sense since then I still lived at my parents' house. However, it still does not make sense since the GDR did - as far as I know - not posess any subs, neither would they attack Chinese subs then. I "know" this in the dream. Instead of getting lucid I again opt out of the scene. (Unfortunately, this seems to be my standard reaction then).

Tonight I dreamt I was sitting in the old catholic church which I was forced to go to as a child. But I was there as an adult. There was a group of people and we were sitting - untypically for a church - in a circular arrangement facing each other.

A girl (unknown to me) says that she thinks that outside the sound of some planes or other flying machines makes such a nice soothing and calming sound. I also hear it and agree with her. I wake up. I hear the sound of my hifi audios I had turned on during sleep. It was a HemiSync Lucid Dreaming sounds. It does not really sound like planes in the sky, rather like rain or a storm. Still it has a deep and permanent sound carpet which is - of course - soothing and calming. I KNOW that "she" referred to this sound which I also heard in my dream then.

This is interesting. A dream personality referring sth (a sensual auditory input) that is going on simultaneously in the physical world around the sleeper. Maybe she wanted to 'wake me up', but not from my sleep but rather in the dream to get more lucid.

Hello, Volgerle.

Sitting in circle in a holy place could well be a connection to a higher place and body. You might have only recalled the end of the event, the part where you leave and your consciousness would have dropped out of that place, anyway. A fragment.

For comparison:

In one experience I had I was sitting with other class members in a circle in the middle of a place surrounded by Greek columns. I could see a starry night but it seemed closer if that makes sense. I was saying "In my school of energy work, we do it like this." and I snapped my fingers. I woke instantly to find myself having the heaviest exit (or reentry?) sensations I ever had, like right out of the book. I heard a loud rushing sound, getting stronger by the second. I thought at first of a rocket launching, but then I realised it sounded like water rushing through a million channels at the same time. I panicked and aborted it.

Oh, and she doesn't seem like a dream character to me. :)

I think the reference to plans is interesting too, from a punning point-of-view.

My uncle, who's only 5 years my senior (my grandma had even more than yours - 11!) told me once that he fell asleep on the lounge and heard a voice in his ear say, "Get a load of that moon!" It woke him instantly and he saw through the window that a fabulously luminous full moon had risen while he slept.
