Hello Forum,

Is anyone here familiar with the work of Joshua David Stone of I AM University? He seems to be the person behind the various New Age groups today which deal with ascended masters such as Sananda, St. Germain, Wyvamus, Djwal Khul etc.

The meditation he teaches is mainly dealing with a set of invocations which invoke these masters and make a series of requests. The claim is, that, these masters respond to these requests and lot of energetic phenomena is experienced. As an example,

My question to the forum is:

- Is anyone here familiar and has experience with the work of Dr. Joshua David Stone? Any feedback?
- Is anyone here familiar with the whole concept of Ascended Masters? Its obviously derived from the Theosophic movement of Blavatsky (who is now known to be fraud?), and modeled after the Hindu Siddhas and Taoist Immortals?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

I'm curious about the Blavatsky = fraud statement. In what way is she considered a fraud, and by whom?
Thanks.

I've heard that accusation before and it was never explained to my satisfaction.

Blavatsky has often been accused of having been a fraud. I've even read the claim in the recent years in articles about other people of the time and age, for example Houdini who was an aggressive and relentless debunker.

The thing is that she had no qualms of using "aids" in putting up a show in times when occultism was the entry badge to certain circles and fame. The late 19th century saw an upsurge of interest in "spiritism" and she rode that wave.

The fact that she was exposed tricking people like this damaged her credibility in the long run. The long-term influence, both in written teaching and on other people that she taught and recruited for the theosophic movement, however, shows that's by far not all that is to her.

In the end what she did made it easy for critics to refute her without even scratching the surface.

PS - the theosophic movement is not identical to Blavatsky. It attracted many formidable spiritual teachers in their own right, including Blavatsky, Olcott, Besant, Leadbeater, Bailey, Steiner, etc. In Mahatma Gandhi's autobiography he tells of paying Annie Besant (the head of the Adyar society at the time) his respects, and that he was an admirer of the movement, but not taking part.

I have met Dr. Joshua David Stone in projection and after his death as a teaching spirit. He was a great inspiration to me in this life. However, I think he goes a bit imaginary too. I do not agree with everything I read by him and feel that the reader should use discernment.

He wrote books and guided meditations on ascension;
http://forums.riverofenlightenment.com/index.php/topic,394.0.html
http://forums.riverofenlightenment.com/index.php/topic,395.0.html
and gave many of these away in free ebooks while he was alive because he hit a plateau and was instructed by the Mahatma that he would not continue to grow until he began to share freely. He had been given these wisdoms for free and should help others to attain them for free. In response to this he posted links to free downloads of many materials since his death these have been removed. He was inspired by the works of Alice Bailey
http://www.occult-underground.com/bailey.html
http://www.sacred-texts.com/eso/ihas/index.htm
who was a reluctant clairvoyant mystic. She left her entire body of over 20 books for free and these were published free on the internet until her heirs chose otherwise.
Whom was preceded by Blavatsky
http://www.blavatsky.net/blavatsky/blavatsky-links.htm
who coined the term New Age. Globally travelled , she enjoyed lessons in Tibet.
She founded Theosophy a Western movement of mysticism to obtain esoteric wisdoms
Although she credibly worked with the Mahatma she produced a fraudulent photo
http://www.exopoliticsinstitute.org/blavatsky.jpg
which caused her to lose credibility. She was upset by being linked to racist practices of Hitler and did not mean to have her ideas regarding Aryans extracted to promote him . She was accused of being racist supremist but protested this.

Further to this Sai Baba also produced legerdemain pretending to manifest watches and jewelry while winking to his students and peers. He produced a freak show for those who wanted it and taught those who were serious with great love.

She was a capable clairvoyant mystic who explored the cosmology of the realms and mapped them out before Monroe. Robert Monroe left land and a trust for development but his heirs corrupted that for profit as had Bailey's heirs.

A good place to begin is with this little book by Diana Cooper;
http://www.planetlightworker.com/articles/dianacooper/article1.shtml
and a viewing of this ;
http://www.merkabah.org/
based upon the Book of Knowledge: The Keys of Enoch by James Hurtak

Initiatic Magick is a rewarding paradigm which braids well with;
spiritual development
divination through Tarot
mysticism
Hermeticism
Kaballah
Ascension Alchemy

In IIH Bardon espouses that Initiation is desirable and necessary to attain siddhi powers. The Mahatma provide attunements and lead the magician through the realms to learn.
5th; the mystic aspirant projects to the etheric of the great pyramid and is met there by
Thoth, Horus or others and is invited after an attunement to project through the capstone which is a rite of passage as the magician projects out of their body more wholly and is met by spirit teachers to begin pathworking
http://forums.riverofenlightenment.com/index.php/topic,394.msg933.html#msg933
6th
the aspirant projects back to the etheric Great Pyramid at a higher vibration and enters the Golden Chamber of Melchiesedek to receive attunements of energy and a rod of initiation.
http://forums.riverofenlightenment.com/index.php/topic,395.0.html
7th
the aspirant projects through the Akashic Plane Hall of Records to the Great Manse in Shamballah and meets Godhead there.

The first initiations are more universal in the curriculum but after the 9th these become more idiosyncratic to the magician.

I offer free readings and circle online on Skype and can take those interested through the early initiations.

You might mean other antisemites of the time: Blavatsky died 1891, Hitler was born 1889.

I have severe doubts that the material channeled about the "root races" has validity in the form it was presented. I think it was "mistranslated" when it was brought over from the energetic reality.

Thanks Aunt Clair!! So you think reading the decrees and meditation scripts published by David Stone would actually help one ascend?

@Korpo
You are correct, of course. I did not articulate that well. Thank you for correcting me. I meant to write that Blavatsky was accused of being a racist and being antisemitic in her lifetime and protested this publically. However, her works were used by Hitler to promote "white supremism". His racist propaganda stirred pride in a mythical "superior Aryan" stock and his regime used this to begin his infamous genocide.

@Ascension20122
Yes, Stone's guided meditations are excellent methods of Initiatic Magick to evoke the spirit teachers and archangels for initiation and attunements. Sometimes these are much too long and wordy but the old mumbo jumbo does work. I have used these to attain the realms of the Higher Planes with peers. These mystic projections precipitate Kundalini and facilitate Ascension Alchemy. The magician begins to have dreamstate lessons as an apprentice angel.

Here are some links to begin;
1-4 are birth and sacraments with the family according to Bailey
so she begins the initiations with #5

These are a beginning. From the 8th initiation on, the lessons are not as universal and become more idiosyncratic to that magician.I don't think Stone wrote any guided meditations after the 7th.

Thanks Aunt Clair, can;t access the links though, it requires login and the forum registration seems to be closed.

Are there any other such teachings available today apart from Joshua Stone? I AM University has 30 ascension meditations which they claim are the only such available on earth at this point.

Thanks Aunt Clair, can;t access the links though, it requires login and the forum registration seems to be closed. We had a number of spammers and made the rego on the River manual only. I will set those links to view by guests though. Sorry for that. Should you or another gentle reader wish to join us at the River just send me a pm with your email and a preferred handle if not the same as the one here @ AD.

Alice Bailey might have been the first to write about the initiations but she did not provide guided meditations or other methodologies to attain them. However, it is not necessary to have a guided meditation to get there. Any magician can take a peer with them in projection to the realms, though. Once you develop a core image of a particular temple in the Higher Planes you can attain that by visualisation , will and intention. It is an evocation of the portal to that realm into which you step. It is so incredible. The clairvoyant peers you sit with in circle see each other in that journey like a band of adventurers in a real time dungeons & dragon game, when the energy is high enough. It works online too but not as well as being in the same room for circle.

We found the 5th to 7th online and from there , we merely opened in protection and the teaching spirits would appear and guide us to the realms and teach us concerning the subsequent initiations.

I have tried to make those links available to guests. The material was posted on AD but I can't find it . I think it was posted in an earlier incarnation of AD and my links to those posts are broken now. So I have tried to post the material again for you and others . It had a few links in it and is awaiting approval by the mods. So look for it . Here is a post with excerpts from Alice Bailey concerning Initiation of the Magician , too;

Thanks Again!! Still can't access these pages, presents a login screen to me. :)

Also, how do these meditations work? When a practitioner reads these long meditations published by Joshua Stone, should he be in a certain frame of mind? Should he already be an experienced practitioner? I have been reading and listening to these meditations for a while and notice no changes. So I wonder if I am not doing it right....

Thanks Again!! Still can't access these pages, presents a login screen to me. :) I apologise I noted that as well. I set that forum to guests view but something somewhere else overrides that and I gave up. I posted them here at AD instead. BUT they are awaiting Mod approval probably because of the length and the links within them. So please ask CFT if you might read them or if she can post them, now.

Definitely. One should be in sacred chamber with eyes closed in dim light in trance which is why a volunteer should read it aloud or the passage should be pre-recorded so all in the group might enjoy it. Also a free group meets nearly every day online on Skype at 7 am Perth time to discuss and project together too. That would be a good opportunity to become attuned through the beginning initiations.

If interested , just add Aunt Clair , Blaze or Pawel to your contact requests to be notified and invited to circle.

Thanks for pointing that out- I don't get an auto 'moderate' message automatically, so if this happens let me know and I try to take care of it promptly.

Edit: I've approved them, someone make sure they can see them now.

Hi Aunt Clair, are there any Joshua Stone (or other) meditations for protection? From negative beings, reptilians, astral parasites, curses etc?
