Someone else I know suggested Terminator-style cyborgs. :) Personally, I prefer to imagine a race of Soong-type androids, a la Data (but not Lore).

Imagine cars that can heal themselves, cell phones with gorilla glass & a self-repairing metal frame, and in the future you might even be able to give these cells some kind of command so they grow into the form that you want it to have. Pretty much wherever this technology would be beneficiary, I can't think of any other examples off the top of my head, haha.
