View Full Version : What does an ! on my post mean?

I made a simple post but it shows up with a big exclamation point on it. I don't see these hardly anywhere else and can't figure out why it is there. Is it something I did by accident? if so, can I remove it?

When you make a post, there are options you can use for the icon attached to it (Post Icons and they're available below the area where you type in the content). You must have accidentally ticked the box with the exclamation point. You can probably remove it by just editing the post.

Most people here don't bother with the post icons, that's why you don't see them, but they're just another means of communicating the content of the posts. The ! is presumably for something important (mods should use that on notification posts, probably, but we're all far too lazy, I suspect), and ? is for a question and there are various other options to sort of add a little more content.

That help?
