Hi all - I've been lurking the forum for a few months now, but first time posting. :-)

I've been experiencing what I think is Kundalini energy for about a year. It started completely by surprise during meditation, where I would get rocking/bobbing and then urges to move or stretch into positions. I just went with it, and would get intense heat starting in my feet and moving up to different parts of my body. Usually it settled in my solar plexus, but sometimes in my chest, eyes, thighs, or root chakra. Sometimes I get it up my spine, but not often. While my crown chakra has opened, I've never felt this energy in my head (other than eyes). Another symptom I always have once it starts coming on is a pumping/oscillating noise sound in my ears.

It's gotten to the point where I don't need to be in meditation for it to happen. Anytime I relax I can feel energy pumping/beating. Once it's going, I can lean forward, my ears will start making that sound, and the heat will quickly build up in my feet/root and move up. It usually settles in my stomach followed by a few moments of intense burning, and then stops. The whole process isn't more than a minute, I would guess.

I've read past posts about burning off blockages, but I do a fair amount of chakra work, NEW system, and I've had a ton of growth (emotional, spiritual, mental) over the past year. It doesn't feel like it's just the same block being worked time and time again. Does anyone have any insight as to what might be going on, or what I should be trying differently?

This situation is likely to continue for a few years, as long as necessary.

It happens a bit at a time. This is preferable to it happening all at once, especially considering the fire element involved here.

So patience is advised.

You might, if not already, like to take a look at the Core Image Work given in my book, 'The practical psychic self defense handbook'.

This is a bit like DIY psychotherapy, in that it is a way of unearthing trauma memory blockages that may be affecting your energies and chakras. Everyone should do this, as it is very growth and balance promoting.

I wanted to follow up on this question from last year. When I'm meditating (or doing Kundalini breathing) I only feel burning from my feet up to my chest. I can raise it consistently (it's been like this for months), but it always stops at the top of the solar plexus. The rocking/bobbing is pretty mild now. I also don't experience burning unless my head is dropped towards my lap. Is this expected? Anything I should be trying differently? Thank you!

It is important, for some aspects of kundalini, to keep the spine straight. Experiment with this and let me know if it makes a difference.

The solar plexus indicates self esteem and willpower issues. One cannot separate the human energy body and its chakras from personality, as they are interdependent.

I also recommend you look into the Core Image work I mentioned earlier, as this can help eliminate blockages that can restrict kundalini rising.
