hey folks, i had a quick question

i was meditating about 40 minutes ago and i noticed this yesterday as well. it only takes me ten minutes of meditation and relaxation and i get a falling sensation. i love this feeling very much. however after the falling sensation i get a sheer terror feeling. i am not sure how i can explain it... it doesn't start as anxiety. my head starts to feel really foggy and then my chest almost feels like it's expanding, this is followed by an adrenaline rush and often fast heart rate. it doesn't seem obe related to me. the heart rate is caused from going "holy crap what is that?" because this feeling is unreal. i got so deep in such a short amount of time a few nights ago.. i got to that state and i did see a white light in front of my eyes. my whole body felt... different. i wouldn't mind this but my breathing (what i was focusing on) got super incredibly shallow to where i had to gasp for air. and then i was very woozy upon getting up. the night before that i got so incredibly deep. after about 30 minutes i said okay... going to return now. i opened my eyes and it was almost like a shock to my system because i was so deep. i got a massive massive surge of energy and my vision went goofy for about 10 seconds. i felt extremely weird and anxious. am i just going so deep that its kinda a shock to my system? i don't have epilepsy... or any health issues. never have. i am super healthy. was i close to a conscious obe maybe? i can't seem to figure this out. it happens everytime i close my eyes to meditate now after about 10 minutes. hardcore anxiety/spacey feeling. the best i can describe it is my body goes into shock very briefly and then i feel really really good and relaxed. i don't know. :? has anybody felt this before? am i closer to a conscious obe more than i think? i astral project all the time and it feels nothing like astral projection. it's not a very pleasant feeling. its like my body is confused and my system gets goofy for a minute and i shake a little bit upon coming out of trance. then i am fine.

any suggestions? again... i don't need to see a doctor because i am extremely healthy. i am a hypochondriac anyway and i have seen so many specialists i can't count. i noticed i get this seem feeling when listening to bineral beats too. funny thing is though this never used to happen to me. but i am getting better at meditation. so maybe i am opening something up

Yeah, I don't know.

Well if I was you I would give the Binaural beats a rest for a while, like a few weeks at least.

Think of it like food allergies, you make some changes, observe the results.

Try meditating with your eyes open for 10-20 minutes.

See if that makes any difference.

I don't know why you are creating this, but if you are doing the same pattern, same habit then you have (maybe) created neural pathways in your brain like a "shortcut" to doing the same thing over and over, we all do this for any kind of repetitive activity, as well as making memory in our muscles and central nervous system from repetition.

Change the pattern, do something different if these symptoms are bothering you, otherwise you just keep repeating the same process.

Are any of the symptoms happening during any other activities?

How long have you been meditating?
Do you have any medical conditions or medication?

What is your focus during meditation? You mention lights, that is generally associated with the eyebrow chakra (third eye). Try focus on another area of your body (different chakra) or pick a theme to meditate on eg Love, forgiveness etc. Try this modifier and see if you get the same or different results.

I am sure other folks here will have some suggestions.

In 10 years, I have never had any "bad" or unpleasant meditations, or bad physical stuff other than sore legs from sitting too long on them in seiza or half-lotus, so I am at a loss on this one.

Some people experience all kinds of sounds and sensations with their astral body going in/out, but that is not my experience.
