Whatever happened to this idea?

This idea....is that kundalini can be raised during the pre-OBE (out of body) vibrational state, and that this is a very mild version of kundalini that is suitable for training the kundalini pathway.

To do this, you must be practiced at body awareness energy work, and in the pre OBE vibrational state.

In this state, using body awareness, move body awareness through the legs to the base chakra, and then pull it up through the body following the kundalini 'serpent' pathway, 3.5 coils clockwise (clockwise looking down) through the torso and then up through the neck. This can encourage a 'light' version of kundalini to rise.

I have done this a number of times and this is much easier, and requires far less preparation, than full kundalini raising.

It makes sense that this would be a good way to 'train' the kundalini serpent pathway, and that this would make full kundalini raising easier to achieve.

This would particularly suit people that often experience vibrational states spontaneously during mediation, or that sometimes awaken in the vibrational state.

I am still exploring this phenomenon.

What if you move body awareness into the center channel, rather than 3.5 clockwise?

This is one of the exercises done to stimulate the energy body...to bounce energy through the central channel. So this would be a good exercise during pre OBE vibrations.

It is well known that body awareness attention can cause OBE vibrations to spread, and even to move the vibrations around the body. Where the attention goes the energy (and vibrations) flows. What I am saying is that this phenomena can be used for the stimulation of kundalini pathways.

Is there a diagram exactly where the 3.5 coils clockwise pathway runs?

Does it go through the navel chakra on the front side or back?

Does it go through the heart charka on the front side or back?

I don't have a diagram handy, but can paint a word picture....

Imagine your torso as a hollow vessel of similar proportions with a hole in the middle of the bottom (depicting the base chakra and lower end of the central channel), and a hole in the middle of the top (depicting the start of your neck). Now imagine you put a long tube in the center of this torso vessel that is about 1/3rd the diameter of the torso vessel (depicting the central channel).

Now, imagine you have a hose that is about 1/6th the diameter of the torso. Insert one end in the lower hole and then (looking downwards) coil this hose around three and a half turns clockwise, and then pull it up through the throat to the top of the head.

The serpent does not pass through any chakras per se, apart from the base chakra in the flat area between the anus and genitals. The serpent winds around the central channel.

So the serpent pathway is not the same as the ida or pingala side channel depicted in Energy Work?

Correct.

So there are 4 major channels?

left side channel
right side channel
center channel
serpent channel

Yes, this seems to be the case.

However, the serpent channel only really exists when Kundalini is raising or being raised.

Raising kundalini...it is more accurate to say that kundalini is 'released'. In this sense it is a bit like a human sneeze, or orgasm, which are reflex actions that are triggered under certain circumstances.

The work involved with raising kundalini is designed to cause the right conditions for kundalini to be released. This includes energy work, raising energy, chakra stimulation, deeply relaxed altered state, eye and tongue positions, and other things. All this encourages kundalini to raise.

The eye and tongue positions, for example, try to emulate what happens automatically during kundalini raising. When kundalini raises, deliberately or spontaneously, the eyes lock in an up position aligned with the middle of the brow chakra, and the tongue locks to the roof of the mouth.

Keep in mind that activating kundalini energy and actually raising kundalini are two different things. When activated, the energy body and its chakras, and the body mind, begin to evolve to prepare for kundalini to raise. Raising kundalini means to trigger the main event, to raise the serpent through the whole body, which leads to various kundalini manifestations and related phenomena.

Using body awareness to raise energy through the serpent pathway during the vibrational state is another method to 'encourage' kundalini to rise fully through this pathway.

It is difficult to create conditions where you would be awake and in a vibrational state, and this will often happen spontaneously. So take advantage of vibrational states when they happen to do this.
