What a lovely story I've just heard on the news. Those of you in America have probably already heard it.
A 10 year old miniature schnauzer goes missing from its home for 4 days. Had found its way through snow four blocks away to the lobby of the hospital its owner was a patient in. Eventually re- united with its owner. Dog had apparently never visited the hospital before.
Yet another story not only of the incredible bond that can develop between humans and animals( well realy animals to animals)
but the incredible senses they use which we can spend years just trying to get right.

Good thread, Susan! We humans are so busy rushing round like ants in our "civilisation", forgetting that we each have a special reason to be here, that we have lost some (even most) of our contact with nature and the Universe. Dogs and cats, being mostly domestic animals, are close to us in our lives - but they have not lost the vital instincts like we have.

Dogs especially have learned the lesson of unconditional love, which many humans have still to learn!!
