The Sedona Method comes to mind immediately for emotional healing. I also suggested looking into it for Kundalini for that reason.

I know there are some forms of Pranayama that deal with emotional healing but I am not very adept in that so I couldn't give you any techniques, but breathwork does have a large influence on emotional health.

Good luck!,

Hi Star & All~
Emotional healing is such a vast & beneficial topic!
When you said a meditation to help with stress or
depression, my first thought was that those are two
diifferent aspects of life. Dis~stress is a response to
stress that exists in the physical plane & depression
can occur if one experiences too much stress, yet
also depression occurs for many reasons. If one stays
connected to the Source, or the Divine Light then the
feelings of depression are more readily or easily lifted!
Thus, any meditation that takes one into the theta state
would be helpful...Even getting into the Alpha state by
a few deep breaths can be relieving. There is a Buddhist
meditation called Metta(Lovingkindness) that has a great
prayer that can be uplifting when one is feeling down...
May I be at peace.
May my heart remain open.
May I awaken to the light of my
own true nature.
May I be healed.
May I be a Source of healing for all beings.
This prayer has been a great comfort to me
and many that I have shared it with over the years.
There is an excellent meditation book called Pocketful
of Miracles by Joan Borysenko if you like this prayer/
meditation...

Emotional Alchemy is a helpful book, as is Emotional
Intelligence by Daniel Goleman if one wants to understand
some of the physical elements of the emotional body...As
an empath I have come at emotional healing from many
aspects & used many modalities & techniques! Edgar Cayce
said a simple thing that is helpful that I paraphrase here,
When you start to worry, instead say a prayer'. Simple
affirmations supplanted when one is distressed can alter
the moment positively... As can gratitude, I like this Buddhist
saying, 'Thanks for everything, I have no complaints whatsoever'.
It helps balance & is great just after a complaint! ;) Also, saying
'Cancel' when one has just said something negative & wishes
to erase it from their Akashic record, it shifts the energy...
