I felt pain today for the first time ever. I'm not sure why. As soon as I lied down I felt strong throbbing at the coccyx. Usually the throbbing starts after 15-20 minutes of an energy work session, but this time it started within seconds of just laying down. It was immediate. I did the energy raising to the navel for 10 minutes. Then I did the energy sponge action. When I moved on to stimulating the base chakra, I only managed 60 seconds before I felt a very strong, distinct pain in the rectum, and it started becoming stronger and stronger as the seconds passed by. I tried to ignore it and continue with the tactile imaging, but then out of nowhere my body started to become hot. The pain kept growing stronger and I could feel the pressure intensifying. My body also suddenly become hotter, and at that point I was forced to stop the session and sit up.

The pain is difficult to describe, but the only way I can put it is as a tearing sensation. It felt as if it was penetrating deeper and deeper. I also wonder how hot I could have become if I managed to continue for another 60-90 seconds. At important point is that I had no pain at all before the session, or after the session. I never have pain in that area ever. As soon as I sat up, the pain began to diminish and I was fine. But I didn't go back to the energy work; I just left it for today. I'm not sure what caused it. But all I know is that as soon as I started working on the base chakra, the pain started. And the heat quickly followed. Does anyone have any experience of this? My health is fine. I'm hoping there isn't a physical problem. Could this signify a blockage maybe? Any reply will be much appreciated.

If I were you I'd make a copy of this and put it in the 'ask Robert' thread. I want to think 'premature Kundalini' but am not sure. I also want to say "go to a doctor and explain the pain" without the energy work part. This is because sometimes energy work (awareness) highlights preexisting problems. So better safe....

Within last 12 -13 years at least once in a month this pain awakens me from a deep sleep and doctors failed to explain it, strong sharp pain in the base chakra area, sometimes it last from 10 to 30 minutes and sometimes it is unbearably painful.

Thank you for the reply. Is it too late for this thread to be moved to the "Ask Robert" section? Even though my health is perfectly fine I hope this episode yesterday doesn't signify a physical ailment. If I have to visit a doctor I will. I'm never in pain during the day. I've never experienced this pain before at all. All I can say is that I felt this intense pressure building up and gathering strength in that specific part of my body. For what it's worth, during the last fortnight I've also been having dreams where my coccyx starts throbbing too. That maybe nothing though. Why I experienced sudden body heat as well, I'm not sure.

This is interesting. I wonder what th cause of this is? 12 years is a long time. I feel my the ailbone throbbing too in my dreams lately, but I haven't felt pain yet. Ive also been seeing a lot of vivid white light and strong rainbow colours recently in dreams. I'm sorry you're going through that pain.

Yes. This.

Otherwise, I have no advice, sorry.

I have had this pain, about three times this year. Wakes me up in the middle of the night, and is excruciating. It never happened before, until I had some abdominal surgery, and ever since (2 years now) it's happened four or five times.

5 months ago I began to work with my primary centers but most of all I work with my base chakra, since then I have experienced painful awakenings only 2 times. Now I have another issue it is my coccyx area I feel this place constantly. I feel this area the same way as feel my brow chakra, I feel persistent pressure in my brow center more that 3 years already. Sometimes I have sensation of burning fire around my coccyx, for example just last night I had been awakened 2 times by heat and strong vibrations in my base chakra and coccyx area.

sorry for my English.

doctors failed to explain it.

regardless of where ever pain is that is severe
a)severe to a point where it halts or interrupts everyday working life)
b) does not go away (persistent or worse yet chronic)
never just nod and accept the answer a or multiple number of doctors give you "we have no reasons for you"

you pay doctors good money , ( i mean you know very much already there is pain that you yourself cannot explain and that is why you are paying , i.e giving someone money to figure that out WHY because that's what they do for a living).

Demand these physician's a list of differentials diagnosis and possible causes
once you get those : google is your best friend.

"Demand these physician's a list of differentials diagnosis and possible causes
once you get those : google is your best friend." Many places have laid out rights about this. I believe in many places patients have the right to get a copy of their records, although some doctors resist this.

Wow maybe crazy latent Kundalini stuff, when I blew a partial years (after AD first came out) ago my base chakra became unbelievable for a couple months, but never hurt....bad that is. I'd certainly lay off the energy work. If it blows lolol it will rock your world. In any case yeah google the hell out of it.....doctors dont give a damn, they dont have the time for anything that doesnt get you IN and Out in 15min. Management owns your family doctor. No history of back troubles? familiy history of nerve disorders? Nothing on a MRI? You can try a salt bath as they serve to ground any excess energy you've raised. good luck

I thought of the possibility of Kundalini too, but felt I needed to go to the physical warning first, because, it never hurts to be careful.

and ps, a salt bath is good, even if it's physical. Make it an epsom salt/regular salt bath.

You know, the more I thought about this, I remembered that I used to get something like it. At the time, I thought I had a bad office chair (which I did). It was fine while I was sitting, but when I'd get up and change position, it would really hurt (particularly if I went to lie down). However, at the same time this was happening, I was in the midst of an extremely messy spontaneous kundalini awakening (though I had no clue whatsoever about that at the time). So it may have been related. BUT... it did help to get a better chair. So for me, it was a combination of physical and metaphysical. And, as noted, it never hurts to cover all your bases. Better safe than sorry.

not to over emphasize but , I had the same thing too .

some years back flared pants and bellbottoms were came back into the scene trending again like anything , I was coming home after a late night out and was wearing very thick platforms , it was morning and my mother was watering the garden as is her want after she reads the news.

While talking to me , she inadvertently aimed the hose at the patio floor and it was wet in one quick sploosh, as we exchanged words , and got into an argument I stormed off towards inside the house , doing so , I sipped and landed right very onto my coccyx , tail-bone (exactly right onto to it) , the pain was so excruciatingly severe it bought about tears to eyes instantaneously.

Let me tell me you platforms are the known notorious reason of badly sprained ankles and in my case , a coccyx that hurt every waking moment. I was Kundalini active at the time but got x-rays anyway.

These weren't platforms with a chunky block heel , these were 3"1/2 wedge platform boots for men.

I wonder if hurt-butts and aching tailbones were more common in the 70's :?:

Had a check up with my doctor, and not a single thing wrong with me. Glad that's out the way. At least I know now it's definitely nothing physical.

Good. Now you can focus on the metaphysical rather than the physical. :)

Yes, lol, you're right. The only thing is that now the pressure has gone to my forehead instead. No pain thank god, but just an insanely intense throbbing. It's stronger than ever. I started seeing something purple yesterday and it one point almost felt like something was growing on my forehead. But at least for now I have nothing to worry about physically

Definitely sounds like kundalini actvity. The colour purple is associated with the "third eye", in fact. I'm going to suggest that you're in for a period (who knows how long) of all kinds of weird squeaks, tweaks, flashes, and strange experiences. The rabbit hole, it is bottomless, but when you first fall in, it's a very, very strange place (you do get used to it eventually; and it does get less "weird" as perspective changes).

Ok, I understand. Thank you for the warning. This happened yesterday just near the end of my energy work session, and my mind suddenly became still with no thought for about 20 seconds, which is a long time for me. It was then I saw this purple light emerge that I've never seen before. But it also felt like there was something physically growing larger on my forehead. It felt like an oblong shapen. It was very strong and very weird. The purple light didn't last long because it started me and then I just stopped.

Just some in put...I wouldnt discount a deeper Physical condition so quickly. Your family doctor is not in a position to definitively answer your questions or give an explanation regarding your symptoms. They do not have the time or energy to seriously dig into a patients condition/ailment, and many of the routines they run though on the fly to check for certain conditions can easily miss an underlying problem. If the pain persists I would definitely ask for a referral to see a specialist and have an MRI ran if its feasible.
Its out of the ordinary but your over active charkras could very well be running parallel with another perhaps causal issue.
Im not a Doc but I've been a caregiver to many critically ill persons and have a long storied history with modern medicine and its (seldom discussed) limitations.

Daily tactile imaging energy work from 10 to 30 minutes in the base chakra area seems solved my problem with this painful sensations, anyways I didn't have them since february though I used to have them monthly before I started work with my base chakra. It seems that the secret technique pulling the energy through legs and storing it in the base chakra in a special way, which Robert Bruce reveals in his RK program is a really good stuff.
