Hi all,

For some years now I have experienced energetic movement when meditating.... back and forth, side to side, round and round... its like a sine wave is manifesting through me and it actually moves me physically. Usually the meditation practice involves circulating the body of light and/or tracing my inner Tree of Life with the Lightning flash/Godnames. Lately I have been having this happen simply because (seems to me) I'm sitting crosslegged... its been quite strong. And others can't help but notice. I must actually think about not moving and be vigilant.

There have been other times I've experienced spontaneous - not volitional - movement... different kinds and for different reasons. I don't understand what this episode is all about. Anyone else experience energy movement something like this? As is this maybe in the category of a kriyra?

Insight is appreciated.

Maybe it's a Kriya, but it may be perhaps because when your eyes are closed you don't have a physical reference for the horizon and your sense of balance becomes subjected to energy movement. Try opening your eyes momentarily if it becomes a problem, and also try tightening your gluteus muscles and see if it helps. It's actually a device used in yoga, although I can't remember its 'official' name.

On edit, it's Muban.
