I got the idea to try it during my second or third lap in the pool. I was swimming Brest stroke and invisioned my hands pulling energy off the water as they moved through it and then channeling it towards my center. After 4 strokes or so I felt a momentary sharp pain a couple of inches above my navel. It only lasted a second and I got the idea that I just unblocked my solar plexus. It felt pretty amazing afterwards.

I tried a couple techniques with freestyle and backstroke as well. With these I envisioned my arms forming small balls of energy from the water hitting my arms. With freestyle I added a hich to my stroke as my arms were underneath to channel the energy ball to my center. With the backstroke I would channel the ball to my root chakra.

One time when I was floating in the pool I did energy circuits, but never while swimming.

I used to swim very regularly (at least once a week) and I tried doing energy work while swimming, but I found it quite difficult to do. The sensation of the water, of having to regulate breathing so as not to gulp down the pool water, having to coordinate limbs, etc., takes a good deal of focus, so much so that I couldn't really concentrate on the energy manipulation.

I did have some success with doing energy work while floating or lounging around in a smaller, warm pool, or in a spa.

Possibly, if I were a better or more "automatic" swimmer, I'd be able to concentrate more on the energy, but it takes all my focus to swim for a variety of reasons.

We could probably call it 'swim yoga' and start something. :D

I do NEW at the beach during summer and can't wait for the weather to warm up. the water energy is fantastic for heart-feelings and flow. *beautiful* energy is higher while *sound* (not going to use the words ugly or ordinary) energy lasts longer... a lesson/moment lived or just learned, respectively.

I have found that NEW is the best practice for correcting ego. it gives your will *grace* and *might* both subtle. o
