I am wondering what the most effective belief changing methods there are, or which are the most effective ones you've found.

It's not really a method per se, but I've come to realize that people tend to think their personal view of reality is actually reality. Really it's a mental map of what they've observed with their 5 scenes or what others have observed with theirs.

many people try to defend their mental models, but in order to develop them, you kinda have to attack it all the time.

If you consider your mental model as just that and not actual reality, you become less attached to it and find that your model becomes fluid and easier to morph/evolve/adapt/change/convert etc.

there's 2 types of people (seekers and defenders). Be more of the former and less of the latter and you'll unlock doors that were once hidden to you.

This is the best answer I've seen to the question.
