How would you describe it?

Is it the same as etheric body?

Does it have any connection to prana/chi? I believe that energy is energy, and it's all the same. The only difference is in how it's used. In this case, we're talking about 'bioenergetic systems', in other words, life energy and how it's structured in it's subtle expression.

I agree with the above reply and I would add yes it has to do with prana/chi . I feel that the energy body is the complex system which includes energy storage centres , chakras , kandas and the aura and can include all of the suble energy bodies also but does not have to include any of them in some defintions . In MAP Robert Bruce speaks about the tan tiens or energy storage centers in the human energy body .
