View Full Version : Astrological influences usage

The Maya or ancient Egyptian people are known for using several calendars at the same time. They had a very practical approach to dealing with time changes (cycles).

Modern society is in this sense poor. It doesn't utlizes the influences coming from natural cycles: the moon cycle, the Earth cycle, or the yearly (sun-based) cycle, which are the most important.

I must say that every single year I'm astonished by how astrological influences work. I figured out that when the sun is in a certain zodiac sign, the related quality pours into our mental states, supporting certain areas. It repeates every single year - and when utilizing this influence, after a time I can see that I get many benefits. And the other way around: when I ignore it and force my plans, I only realize that they didn't quite go the planned way, and I have a feeling of wasted supportive influence.

The upcoming influence in three days is related to the scorpio zodiac sign. This sign is mostly related to the personal power (particlurarly of a mystical nature), turning inward, making a contact with spirits (hence the All Saints' Day), and - possibly most interesting - the inscrutable power of transformation, making deep changes and alchemy.

Yes. Transformation > Supposition. The former is doing both...

The scorpio sign is also related to magic - the usage of powers of the universe. Take your time and enjoy :)

As a fire zodiac sign, the sagittarius widens the horizons, provides new energies and power to deal with the circumstances, wisdom, being purposeful, vigorous in life and predictionary abilities. After transition of the Scoprio sign, new ways to expand are available more than before in the entire year. The sagittarius constellation is also in alignment with the center of the galaxy - the cosmic place known as the ultimate (highest) heaven in the ancient cultures. Its energy is like a shining new light, building new brighten future - more able to do so than any other of the remaining eleven zodiac signs. Enjoy :)

I find astrology in general very different from what astrologers say...

I must admit that I don't quite like astrologers. Even if they state differently, what they read from a birthchart and make suggestions from it is typically fatalistic. They say things like "there's no chance for this or that, because of your birth chart; change your believes, because you won't succeed; maybe there's a chance for this or that but chances are poor; you will face only disappointments because of the square between these planets and your saturn placement here and here" etc.
(My observation also is that most of astrologers are either hiding lack of real confidence in what they are saying, or are simply ignorant. No offence.) ;)

The conclusion one could draw from this is that astrology is fatalistic: people are born with "dumb destiny" to suffer from having their desires unfulfilled because of "bad time" they were born in.

My view is different. People have desires as a guiding feelings moving them to fulfilling them.
Difficult planet positions are challanges with any possible outcome, depending on what they do and what they choose. There are many people with oustanding results in their lifetimes because of having difficult birth charts.
On the other hand, there are really not many people with exceptional life-times and "easy" to live birth charts.

The value in astrology therefore lays in understanding the hidden potential in each difficult energy occuring, and possibly having outstanding results thanks to the effort put, and not in getting someone down by fortelling the failures seemingly justified by having certain planets at certain positions. The latter is lack of understanding the essence of life and life-time.

Trust your true feelings, not stars and planets in first place! The role of astrology is to help, not to get anyone down and not to fortell "the future". Fortelling makes no sense when thought through more deeply. Suggestions on how to change or succeed are the essence of practical astrology.

This all lead after all to mastering your life, and the life alchemy.

Mastery of fate begets true belief - what is frustrated will ultimately be exalted.

Speaking of fate... I think that people don't quite understand Saturn, and its corresponding zodiac signs - even astrologers. What I wrote previously about disappointments, fate hanging over someone etc. - I meant mostly Saturn, which often is related to fate. In the ancient astrology it was the slowest and having the biggest impact planet from all, thus considered to be mostly related to our fate.

I heard once some saying stating that not that what we choose decides that much about our life, but that what we reject! This is exactly referring to how Saturn works: what we are able to accept, and what not - thus rejecting it. In fact Saturn is in big part about rejection - or rather, about our decisions when we think we cannot afford something, trying to be as rational and down-to-earth as possible.

The opposite type to the Saturnian is Jupiterean type who makes the optimistic assumptions about everything.

Notice that everyone has its Saturn and Jupiter in his or her birthchart, so everyone gets something from both planets.

The capricorn zodiac sign can be related to the ancient Greek myth about Sisyphus: it's typically a hard work to do. The archetype is however related to the ambition (which is always needed as a motivating aspect), rather than a punishment, as the myth suggests. I would personally relate Saturn to a focused and determined, but patient builder: even if the boulder falls again, and again, and again from the mountain, it never gives up.

Saturn however often brings - thanks to this work - the real winners. Because this planet is about fruition: whenever our efforts are finally rewarded. This is the real meaning of Saturn and its influences, and this is something that is frequently forgotten by the astrologers. Each planet is required, and has its important place in the birth chart (the balanced personality). Thanks to Saturn even the biggest dreams may come finally true and be formed; people don't believe that because they don't understand it. Of course, the way is not easy, so the Saturn's role is (to help us - i.e. give the necessery energies) to pave the way through - sometimes being a tedious task, but finally things are always being built when the effort is put into it. That's the law.

The other word that may give the idea about Saturn is manifestation. It's also worth to note that the central, balancing element in the Chinese 5-elements (wu-xing) system is given to the rules of the saturn planet.

Now it's a good time to take a note how your Saturn and the capricorn zodiac sign are placed in your birth chart. Because it's the winter solstice now (at least at the northern hemisphere)!

I believe that the biggest truth is contained within Saturn's realms. A question of "to be or not to be" - is in fact, answered by the heart and not the overlord.

Antares

Perhaps the biggest confusion comes from the fact that people believe that they just have no influence over circumstances and say something like "we'll see what is going to happen", and stick to that; or, from the opposite assumption, having the same result in the end: "well, I have no time for > making (new) choices <, I have to do this, and that, and even that...".

Waste of potential, waste of life.

Saturn is about taking the responsibility to fully realize that we do have all the resources within; what is needed is working on consciousness of this hidden potential - and this leads in turn to unlearning what life have had brought us so far.

Taking my free time now to make some new decisions, so that they won't get away from me when overwhelemed by too many details of a daily routines. ;)

Cleansed, crystal clear mind, being balanced and getting / sticking to the most important point are the essential qualities of the capricorn zodiac sign. Most similar quality is the Earth phase / element in the Chinese wu-xing system, and interestingly Chinese people also related the Earth element to the Saturn planet (the capricorn ruler).

The uniqueness and being original are two opposite things: the former comes from within (is internally driven), the latter - from without (is externally imposed).

The idea (or challange, if you insist) of the uni-corn, or Aquarius, is to combine these two (the higher water and the lower water, as the Aquarius zodiac symbol denotes). From this dualism rises a new consciousness: of co-creativity, within the community.

Two planets related to Aquarius are Saturn and Uranus, a very interesting pair: they are mostly related to advancing in consciousness and awareness, and have a lot to do with life and death (apart from the Scorpio subjects), or spirit and fair judgement.

What are the planets related to Immortality?

Saturn is the master - a gateway or judgement, a wiseman. Uranus is the new consciousness-born - an infant.

Together, the Saturn and Uranus pair with their opposite pair (Sun and Moon) are the keys to attaining immortality: with the "legs" put in (connected to) yin / black color, and "head" put in (connected to) yang / white color. These four found then the vertical part of the world.

Because they are the (gate-)way - tao - they might be symbolized by the black and white horses. "Way" means to move, and you will find no faster energy in the solar system than the one coming from the lightning-fast Uranus energy. Combining both opposite energies: the black one and the white one - leads (is the way) to the ultimate achievement.

Unlearning: "i simply cannot be proud that i know nothing at this time"
Rebirthing: "proudly some way i have been"

This aspect (yin white small dot) is referred to as the breath.

The small black dot represents movement which is a carnal function when ties with the breath.

This is how to forgive prime evil.

Water is the least clear element in astrology, and Pisces (along with the XIIth house) tend to be the least understood water zodiac sign.

This is partly due to the nature of its rulers: Neptunian and Jupiterean energies are far from being easily defined (in opposite to rational Mercury and Saturn). Jupiter and Neptune are in the core of where creativity, inspiration and seeds for any creative thoughts are pre-born. Therefore, they are in the process of setting a direction for your ship: if used well, you may have a vision that exceeds the abilities of any other sailor on the board - this is much more what a human mind can do; if not, you would be lost in unclear illusions and dependent on horrible winds. At best, with Jupiter and Neptune on your side, you may reach the gods realm; at worst, you may end up as a slave in the hells. The guiding star which leads you either to one or to the other place is your ability to access true inspiration.

That's how Pisces energy works. Humanity is bearly able to make a constructive usage of it, thus Neptune has a rather poor reputation confirmed by the observed behaviour.

Inspiration + water = truth("I am likeable") = holy sexuality

You're right, the water element has been a swamp for far too long. Hopefully this USA presidency can address that much sincerely.

It is said that the dragon comes from the east, and is most powerful at spring. The dragon is qi energy at its most powerful stage, also known as the "breath of god". This is where we can find lots of analogies between ancient philosophies or religions, particularly the Asian ones.

In the western astrology, the energy coming from the east, starting with the spring equinox, is Aries. It's probably the most powerful, and ready to use directly, energy in the whole zodiac. Starting important events, like global events, like making a total revolution by using viruses etc. in the world, is supported by this cosmic cycle stage at this point.

But don't worry. Use the Aries energy for your benefit. I did, and do. The results tend to be faster (Mars), and stronger, than in any other case. It's a perfect time for empowerment and use of magic (the other zodiac sign that bears similar power, but on the yin side, is also ruled by Mars), as well as new endeavors.

Make also use of the sun this month, it has the super-charging quality.

The most related to spring, blossomming flowers, gardens, growth, and mother Earth beauty in general is Taurus zodiac sign.

If you think of the Earth planet and its richness of nature in general, it has a lot to do with this single zodiac sign. It's a fixed earth sign, which means that it sustains, nourishes and protects its beauty. It is of course not a coincidence that Moon is strong in Taurus, as both are related to nourishment, vegetation and natural growth.

Taurus is possibly most related to forming valuable things, and... manifestation. If you think of magic related to manifestation, especially earth forms (but not in a form of money), Venus is here of special meaning. If you think of increasing physical beauty and attractiveness, or even rejuvenation and keep the results strong and intact, you might start with using the power of Taurus.

There is no more sustainable, durable and reliable sign in the whole zodiac than Taurus. This is where lays its power: if you want something to be ceaseless, it's the best zodiac energy for use for that goal.

Astrologically, the fastest planet in the solar system - is Mercury, and the quickest zodiac sign in the zodiac (ruled by this planet) - is Gemini. They work faster than a blink of an eye - because they relate to the thoughts sphere, the mental sphere: everything is as quick as your thought.

It is not just striking fast. It is perceptible, pointful, agile, flexible, changeable, intelligently adjustable, and knows a lot - more than any other. Not to mention excellent memory access and finding the associations to anything / anyone. Knowledge, contacts, information, and data - might be not a value in themselves, but they lead to many opportunities and possibilities hardly achieved without those. Shortly speaking, Gemini makes things working much better, much faster, and much more intelligently, when used.

Mercury and Gemini, due to its very neutral and adjustable nature, is a perfect addition to any other influence - even to its opposite Sagittarius sign, with which it fights when looking for the essence of things. Consider, for instance, how Aries or Mars work alone: it is a power in action, but not particularly flexible or perceptible. It looks for a "problem" that can be breached - but after several trials it is known to give up and look up for another challenge. Now add the pointful perception, observation and flexibility of Gemini to Aries influence - and you gain much more than a simple sum of the influences: now the power of Mars is modified in the way that it looks for a weak sides of the "opponent", and when finds them, strikes with a lightning speed. Mars alone won't be able to do that.

To say that Aries cannot challenge Capricorn is well known. But that Gemini will not out-think Sagittarius is right. It's not always philosophical - somewhere along the way thought must be pure insight!

I know something about that because I see the opposite: my Mars is in Cancer, the opposite to Capricorn sign. And my Jupiter is in the same zodiac sign as Mercury, they talk to each other very well. ;)

"Interestingly enough, Mars’ favorite sign to visit is not a fire sign or even an air sign. This aggressive planet’s least favorite sign is Cancer, and therefore, Cancer’s opposite sign—Capricorn—is Mars’ place of exaltation." from https://www.astrology.com/article/mars-capricorn-february-2020-meaning-effects-astrology
(watch out, this website is full of typical today ads and spammy pop ups)

Is it that bad as astologers say? IMHO, no.

All zodiac signs are always equal, after years of observations I realized that each has its strengths and weaknesses - no matter what planet resides in it.

Taoists said that you may find weakness in strength and strength in weakness. This is what I observe about "strong" zodiac signs. My mom has Mars in Aries, she likes to rush things, and I admit I always hated the way she put pressure on me, always rebelled. She also has Sun in Capricorn, she approaches things in a serious, "not-enough" way, always looking for perfectness - and even if achieved, she doesn't trust it. ;) Combine this Aries' rush with Capricorn's seriousness, and you may find a very difficult person to deal with ;) So what a kid (like myself) with Mars in Cancer - "squared" to Aries and opposite to Capricorn - can do with all of that? Can "do" a lot. Capricorn tend to think they are right, Aries tend to act (rather than think) in a rightous way, my current boss is Aries, husband of my sister is Capricorn as well, as many other people I knew and worked with closely, so I know how to deal with them very well. Perhaps the most difficult people to "beat" are watery-oriented people, because they are so unobvious; haven't figured out it yet.

Mars is a very earthy planet, indeed. As well as Saturn (and Mercury) is a very airy planet. Jupiter is watery, on the other hand, it combines with Moon very seamlessly.

The key to master the planets is consciousness. They're nothing but energies - it's a simple game.

If you realize it, astrology in practice is very similiar to the "rock paper scissor" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_paper_scissors) game: this game has a deeper meaning, informing about the truth of the universe (how the energies work and how they are related to each other): when you know what is up, you know as well what other energy to use to overcome it. Same we find in the ancient Chinese wu-xing scheme:

2477

It's just a 5-elements (vs. 3 elements) version of the rock paper scissor game.

From that wikipedia page:

by exploiting the psychological weaknesses of inherently non-random opponents, it is possible to gain a significant advantage

"non-random" translates to "programmed". I believe this is what wu shu (Chinese martial arts) were about - not just physical, not just energetic, but also psychological weapon.

Such rules are used for thousands of years for designing the masses' programs (https://www.astraldynamics.com.au/showthread.php?28793-World-businesses-and-the-society-designing): you give a fire person a carrot, you give an earth person a stick, you overwhelm an air person with flood of information and complexity and you keep a water person in fear so that it would not leave its shell.*

You may overcome flood of information with meaning (Jupiter), carrot with purpose (Saturn), stick with compassion (Moon) and fear with belief (Sun). Note that Saturn opposes both Sun and Moon in zodiac.

The true creativity (purposeful "randomness" vs. purposeless randomness) is beyond astrology, is an asset of spirit and consciousness. I'll leave the "purposefulness" part's meaning for the other occasion, but it is not the same as being goal-oriented or being ambiotious, which is just a distant shade of purposefulness reflected in the human mind; it is not possible to define it, because it outreaches rational, it is a part of consciousness itself and natural effect of inner (not outern) perception. ;)

* I.e. knowing astrology may give (and it does) the power over masses

True random is true hero-ism.

Nothing more can be said about cartoons, ghost busters, tv in general, the President, Jesus, Bin Laden or even your neighbour. So be shown - what it takes to be righteous is now. Next moment happens purely.

I have 3 planets in libra and they do not attest to being a "real man" - just a boy lord or whoever those real types are...

Cancer zodiac sign is very interesting in many, many ways. I noticed that even astrologers don't quite understand it.

There is probably no biggest opposition in the whole zodiac than between Cancer (water) and Capricorn (earth) - both starting at the special time of the year: at solstice, summer and winter, respectively. Solstices and equinoxes are subject for a separate thread, but it is not a coincidence that they are key points in the astrological calendar and indicate a turn-points in energy coming to the Earth from the solar system.

When thinking of it, I often recall quotes by Lao Tzy:

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.

Do you have the patience to wait until your mud settles and the water is clear?

Silence is a source of Great Strength.

Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.

At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want

I think that there is probably no zodiac sign closer to the taoist philosophy than Cancer is.

Cancer zodiac sign, as well as the 4th house, is about inner self. It becomes very clear when you oppose it with Capricorn and 10th house, very interested in social position and at the same time very restricted by it. Cancer typically does not believe in the systems that place a person at the prominent position and a system over an individual. When a system becomes rigid and intrusive, the Cancer person's feelings would tell him or her the truth: that the world came out of balance way too far. Inner balance and inner safety - maintaining the inner integrity - therefore is the essence of Cancer.

Cancer is a very mysterious sign, as well as its ruler Moon. It communicates mainly through feelings, images and in a non-verbal ways. This is because Cancer has the strongest connection to its subconsciousness.

People, astrologers included, don't understand Cancer because they don't understand and even condemn the subconscious part of the mind. That's why we see so much problems and artificiality outside. Cancer, on the other hand, is very natural in its roots, and emotions are in big part its perception that he or she uses to "detect" the danger against nature, balance and integrity - while all the others tend to miss it.

Since Cancer is so much into subconsciousness and right brain assets, it has the strongest access to its previous incarnations, wisdom, experiences, and other treasures and knowledge hidden in his or her child and pre-birth memories. And memory is another asset of Moon and Cancer that people typically don't value - until, like health, they start to loose it...

There is a lot of research to be done for watery zodiac signs, and Cancer in particular, still. But before it is going to happen, there's nothing to stop us from exploring the "Moon" area by ourselves. :)

Cancer and the 4th house founds the basis: of human mind. What I am referring to here is not the part of mind that we have always conscious access to - not at all. It is different and works on different 'principles'. It cannot be explain without putting everything into a wider context - going beyond astrology and understanding nature of mind itself. Think of zodiac signs as areas (fields) of consciousness - each follows its own rules! Mercury is mostly related to what modern people associate with "mind", often thinking only about the intellect. Cancer, on the other hand, is not about intellect - it is about the 'real', deeper mind, it is a basis for the personality and your inner self. When you awake in the morning, you may feel more being yourself - this is your Moon's part of your personality. When you start thinking of plans, actions, and logical approach, you get away from your inner part, and transit into another field of consciousness ruled by Mercury.

Basis if very important for everything - although it is not seen from outside! Imagine a tree without roots: it will simply die. But if you cut a branches (the visible "things"), it will survive. This is a good analogy how the Moon part is important, but at the same time how little people do not value it. Indeed, Moon is also about vegetations - rules the roots which allow a seed to grow and be transformed into a plant! So also, there is a significant realtionship between Moon (grow) and the Taurus zodiac sign as well.

Moon area (just like Mercury area) requires from yourself also some time to dedicate to it in order to know it better and develop your abilities to use it consciously.

Moon and Sun are the most important objects on the sky for the Earth citizens - it is important to keep it in mind.

Capricorn has a good case for/against ego. "We said so," no. "I said so." Cancer struggles herewith.

Cancer's mission in this life is to save its own life. Cancer knows the difference between good news and bad news - bad news just has to be foretold, since Cancer's attitude is actually permanently right. It will work to do other than to suppose "we're all gone," more like, "there is respect in this universe yet, and I am one."

Good point. The axis between the two Cardinal signs, Cancer and Capricorn, or Ca: Ca&Ca :) , is a very specific one, very different from the squared signs of the Aries-Libra axis. Furthermore, Aries, Taurus and Gemini, the 3 first signs, placed in the first quarter of the zodiac, are mostly oriented into self; the Cancer sign is the first one which struggles facing the support from others. It is said that these "others" are family, and typically it is so, but not always - there can be an equivalent to family in other people (also strangers), as I observed. It particularly depends on where the Moon is placed. "Support" is perceived as needed because of strong yin character of this sign and the Moon. Therefore, while Cancer still stays oriented into self, it asks the questions related to how (s)he fits to others and others fit him / her. Of course, it is opposite to Capricorn which sees things in the opposite way: i.e. how and how much it adds to the social structure, and how much it can rely on the social principles. Cancer is perceived as weak as such (relying on its weaknesses, and is best compared to the bottom, the 4th house, and Water in Chinese philosophy), Capricorn is perceived as strong as such (forcing its strengths and ignoring its weaknesses, and is best compared to the top, the 10th house, and Earth in Chinese philosophy). However, Cancer's weakness is yin turning to yang (inner seeding), while Capricorn's strength is yang turning to yin (outer utilizing).

Therefore, Cancer is mostly related to Taoism, IMHO. It builds strength from within, not ignoring, but following its own nature. Treat "family" or "support" as a symbol, which in best leads to the wu-wei principle - having a perfect support from the flow of the whole universe, something Taoists of all ages desired to achieve. If Cancer does not ignore its own nature (and therefore, path in life), it is oriented to actually not just saving life, as you pointed out - but preserving its own nature, the inner child! The other zodiac sign so much oriented into inner child is the consecutive one, Leo.

Taoists said that the inner child, sometimes called "the golden boy" and "the emerald girl" (to be more precise, the related energies), or your true inner nature, is the source of immortality, i.e. the spirit dies not.

The valley spirit dies not, aye the same;
The female mystery thus do we name.
Its gate, from which at first they issued forth,
Is called the root from which grew heaven and earth.
Long and unbroken does its power remain,
Used gently, and without the touch of pain.

Most of planets / objects in the sky have twofold nature: they are partially Yang, and partially Yin. The degree to which they are either one, or the other, varies for each of them. For instance, Mars is definitely more Yang, while Saturn is more Yin. There are two exceptions, however: the Moon, which is believed to be purely Yin, and Sun, being purely Yang. Chinese people assigned for these two also the world directions in the Ba-Gua scheme (8-fold scheme): water and fire, respectively. In this philosophy, water is receptive, while fire is creative.

If you look at the Leo zodiac sign, which is ruled by Sun, you may realize how much creativity is involved in it. Leo is a fixed sign, so while having lots of common with the other fire zodiac signs (Aries and Sagittarius), it also works differently: it places focus on a goal and is very determined in achieving it. While you can no doubt sense determination in Aries as well, the latter quickly abandons anything that is not achieved in one shot; it is even more true for the mutable Sagittarius sign. But it is not the case with Leo - not at all. With such a strong focus comes power cumulated in time, which sometimes is mistaken with a 'strong personality', but is an effect of the former.

Sun related energy is very general and very deep. It is also very universal, unlike all the other celestial objects. It can be used in many, many ways, and it seems there are no limitations for it. However, one needs to remember about its core nature: it is a very creative, warming and stable power.

It is beneficial to look upon your birth chart and check which planets are dominant / essential. It really does not matter whether they are in the "positive" or "negative" position (by aspects or by placement). I remember one astrologer's discovery: people who were meaningful to the world, such as A. Einstein, had actually difficult charts. It seems almost impossible to have done anything meaningful with only harmonious aspects.

Anyway, the idea is a self-discovery of your biggest potential. Quit the general, superficial beliefs or statements about a certain planet. Do not think about zodiac signs at all. Focus just on the planet itself, its nature and how it relates to yourself and your life. Pick up the one that seems most appealing at the time to you.

This simple approach may reveal much more than a stack of books.

People were trained to learn from books or authorities. It's time to back to discvoer the universe on your own - your own, unique way, unlike any other's.

Fixed zodiac signs are probably the hardest ones to understand - particularly by people who do not have them meaningful in their birth charts.

Mutable signs like changes a lot (avoiding boredom), which may result often in something that fixed signs perceive as superficiality. Cardinal signs like to invent and start things, as they have in mind something they want to achieve the easiest way possible (by forcing, like Aries, or by looking for instant negoations, like Libra). Fixed signs, on the other hand, rather state their ground. But why to do that??? Is there any sense in not looking for more?

It depends - on perspective on what means "more". Each quality of the zodiac signs give a different perspective, of course.

I think that fixed zodiac signs are about quality of the experience, rather than quantity (Gemini, Virgo, Saggittarius, Pisces) or ad hoc solutions (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and even Capricorn). This is what is behind their motivation and surprising patience. They want to get most of everything: whether these are personal goals (Leo), deep intensive relationships (Scorpio), innovative ideas and movements (Aquarius), or material beauty carved in any form (Taurus). They want so badly the best that is available in the field of their searches, that they prefer to wait rather than risk staying with a worse solution! How counter-intuitive it seems to the other 8 zodiac signs, which tend to do something opposite: they rather fear of missing any opportunity, so they just typically take the lowest fruits.

Fixed zodiac signs therefore plan a lot, and prefer long-term strategy to make sure that they would gain the best, instead of simple tactics preferred by the other zodiac qualities. The former, of course, also have a big problem with releasing anything that they fought for so hard, so long and put so much effort into.

Virgo is a very sceptical zodiac sign, and since it is of Earth quality, it resists when anything new appears. If anything is not thoroughly verified, booked, analyzed or written down, Virgo resists.

It doesn't like gambling, but if the investment - of whatever type - is good, it won't shy away. I've heard that there is probably biggest number of wealthy or in charge people of Virgo zodiac sign than anyone else. Seems to be possible in our world as it is now. Indeed, Mercury is closely related to money, exchange and currency, and Virgo as Earth zodiac sign loves anything that is tangible.

If you need clear mind, highest precision, exact knowledge and information, or get rid of any illusions and gain something tangible, Virgo is the biggest ally.

Mercury is strictly related to mental energy. It is a logical, clear, sharp, rational mind, as opposed to the intuitive mind - the latter being particularly a case with Jupiter.
Indeed, sharpness is a key attribute, and perhaps the biggest asset of Mercury and Virgo.

Venusian influences are basically of peaceful nature. The zodiac signs most related to Venus are Pisces (mutable), Libra (cardinal) and Taurus (fixed). All of them "have a preference" to preserve and avoid, as opposed to Mars wich challanges every situation. The Mars' way is to 'attack' the difficulty; the Venus' way is to harmonize it. As a result, Venus' methods differ drammatically. The difference in perception of how things are or could be results in different approach of both. It's easy to describe Mars without referring to anything, but it's easier to describe Venus in opposition to Mars to understand it fully.

The Venus' ways tend to be indirect and often unobvious, as opposed to Mars. If to achieve anything with Venus, it rather uses complexity, intimidation, thinking, a sort of analysis, attraction, manipulation etc. These are all characteristics of Libra. Aries tends to be strong and challanges the strength in another; Libra sees the weakness in itself and another using it as its advantage. Aries fights rather with a sword, while Libra uses advantages of the word. However, it takes mind of another to fully use Libra power.

Libra's tendency is patience and passiveness and as such it prefers attraction as its natural activity. It looks for the peaceful solutions, finding harmony in disorder, and love in war. But please remember that Libra is the only mechanical device in the entire zodiac, which may feel sometimes overly non-human and over-thought as it is an Air zodiac sign.

However, sometimes looking for peace overly makes it manipulating itself. The help comes from Saturn, the planet which is exalted in Libra, which brings justice, clarity, and fair judgement. As such it might have references to the legendary ancient Egyptian symbol Maat. The symbol of Saturn in Libra might look like this:

the President, Jesus, Bin Laden
The Bin Laden president has a shortcut name now: it's Bi..den. :P (Of course, everyone knew who would win in US :P ).

Anyway. There is an interesting thing about Mercury-Jupiter opposition, quite similar to Saturn-Jupiter.

The former are negative basically, and focused on details, while the latter is positive and unfocused, interested basically in (seeing) the big picture.

What does it mean in practice?

That when you need to restructure things, Mercury is of great help. You won't find a better influence to point out anything that is crucial to pave the way out to the next level.

However, using Mercury too much is typical for people who tend too loose the big picture and get lost in (unimportant) details. Then the project fails, finally.
Hence the Jupiter opposition. Balance both, and you're the master of this grand topic. (Remember that Jupiter-Mercury, and Sagitarius-Gemini axis is, physically, a special one: it deals with the center of our galaxy, the highest radiation from the very center of the souls world; and the related subject has a really special meaning - try to feel it and imagine it to grasp it).
