This is a cute little something I'd like to share.

I had a strange experience a few months back. I had been having a relationship via the internet for about a year before I flew out to see him. The flight wasn't just a vacation - we decided to live together and see if we could make it work in person.

The strange experience (and where the title comes from) is that we'd been together for a year all but physically. After a year in a relationship, the rose-tinted glasses start to come off (or have come off already) and a deeper level of love and comfort shows through.

We were in the comfortable stage when I flew out to see him. The thing about meeting physically is that, while we'd achieved a certain level of calm, comfortable love, I found myself developing a crush on him. Once again, I had butterflies in my stomach, often blushed when he came near, and even got into the "well, what if he..." line of questions a few times.

For a few weeks, I was caught between the lovestruck, "crushing" teenager, and long-term relationship woman. He didn't seem to notice, though.

For the first time in my life, I was deeply in love - twice over. It was certainly interesting, unique experience.

Wow that's really cool, congrats! I usually doubt on-line relationships, but I guess it's different for everyone. There's action in my life too, I made out with a cute girl at a night club saturday night, and we promised each other that we would meet again next saturday at the same club... I CAN'T WAIT!!! this week is going to be the loooongest week of my entire life lol.

Love and light to all beings!

But I sort of just escaped an 8 month long relaitonship with the best friend of another ex (I know, I'm terrible), and I've told myself it will take a while until I let someone close to me like that again, so I hope... *rethinks* nah I don't care if I fall in Love again hahahha I'm such a fool :) (why aren't there any heart-emoticons?)

So people have to try really hard to let the love shine through the words they write instead. :D

Aw, thank you. Internet relationships get a lot of bad press, and rightfully so in some instances, but I think it's good to show when it works. It has most certainly worked in this instance.

I know a person with the same story. They had meet each other threw the internet and one of them flew to the same country. I think this is quite common.

Growing more common, I would think, given the amount of people meeting on the internet, but each story still has its own qualities that makes it special.

My brother is getting married in a few weeks to a girl he met online

Some things are meant to be

It's certainly a more common occurrence these days. I think the higher powers are glad for the internet so they don't have to keep putting meant-to-be people so close. ;)

Maybe they make sure we put in the extra effort to move across continents to make sure we are serious about our life choices? ;)
