I have watched "The Fountain" several times and I have to say it's probably the best movie I've seen this year. It was written and directed by Darren Aronofsky, the same writer and director of Pi.

I would like to recommend Carlos Castaneda and all his works as excellent books, they teach a perspective, the perspective of reality of the Mesoamerican shamans, aka Sorcerers. I have found the ideas and perspectives in his books to be very compelling.
