This page did help a little with undestanding the mantras associated with the chakra petals, but it doesn't tell you how to pronounce the petals. Is there anywhere where I can understand this more? I'm also interested in the siddhis associated with the petals as I was sure they had a more deeper meaning.
I've tried looking up ways of pronouncing the sanskrit letters and alphabet but haven't found anything to help me.

Coincidentally I just posted a link with a zip archive of something like 8 MP3s, and #2 was the Sanskrit alphabet.

This is what it was:

http://www.box.net/shared/static/rbr3g2ffzr.zip

There was another file for chakras in general rather than petals, a chant in english, and some mantras.

That sounds great. I was also thinking of having someone chant the letters to me as I'm nervous about chanting with my own voice. I first wanted to get a feel for the vibration before I kept people up with my chanting.
Unfortunately the "Democracy" I live under at the moment won't recognise my basic right to freedom of information via the Internet. We've made some progress but they still seem to think that a 21 year old with Asperger Syndrome is still techniqally a child and so can't do much without being supervised by a team of highly trained idiots.

Sorry I just had to vent my fustration a little. Could you please send the mp3 by e-mail if that's ok? Sorry about the hassle, it took us a while to get Gmail unblocked as they seemed worried about pedeophiles working on it. I send you my e-mail address if you're able to send it by email.
Thanks

FYI a Tulku is an acknowledged reincarnation of a Bodhisattva, in particular one who has attained enlightenment in a previous lifetime.

The total for all 8 files is 43.3 MB. The largest is 9582 KB, the Sanskrit alphabet MP3, and AOL has let me send a 20 MB attachment before. The smallest file, of course, is the 1 KB readme which says it must be included with the other files.

Have you tried using Google to translate web pages from english to english? I read that suggestion as a way to view a web site without directly visiting it. Some places are clever enough to block proxies and translators, but not everyone is.

My e-mail is listed with my profile. I will check to see if yours is listed in your profile, and if not I will wait to hear from you.

These links are from http://www.yousendit.com and they expire after 7 days or 100 downloads, and it is possible that they may work better than the box.net link:

As for that diagnosis you were given, with all due respect to the people who gave it to you I would suggest you don't take it to heart. At one point I received the label of full autism, and it was eventually dropped down to "pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified", the mildest of the possibilities in that category pervasive developmental disorder where Asperger Syndrome is also included. The important thing is not to take it on faith that when someone says there is something "wrong" with you that you have to live with it for the rest of your life.

The Music Album "Neo-Mantras" by Tulku Ngakpa Yeshe Ja Shel may be freely distributed in digital format provided that this ReadMe txt file be accompanied with it.

I've tried using translators. They did'nt really work for me, though proxys did. Though now they've cut down on proxys and translators. Quite recently I couldn't even get currency converters.

Thanks. That really is good advice. Though I already pretty much understand it. I know that my condition is pretty much permanent so I know I have to accept it. It's also possible I am able to control my condition more to make it less intrusive on my life. I used to be much lower functioning. You probably wouldn't recognise me before and after behaviour wise. Though I guess it's the same for neuro-typical people I still think I got quite far.
From what I've read it seems you've also done pretty much the same thing, even done it better than me. I would just like to say how great it is that you've gone that. Never accept defeat. Just because you have a mental condition it doesn't mean you can't progress and live a life almost as normal as "normal" people.

Anyway, I think we should get back on topic. I'm sure the moderaters wouldn't appreciate our tangent much. :)
Sendit is also blocked. I'll find your profile and send you a request by email later.

I don't mean to be picky, correct me if I'm wrong, but should this be under 'meditation' instead of 'energy work', or do you consider chanting to be 'energy work'? :?

My computer at home is giving me a bit of trouble, in particular with opening windows and downloading files. My friend from college who has a masters degree in computer science now tells me that I need to re-install windows. My copy has been going since 2002 and it has survived numerous malware attacks including the occasional virus. I've opened 9 windows to send e-mail and attached one of the files to each of them.

It is good that you can come here still.

You are right; being attacked by negs is a far more popular topic around here than having to deal with one's own shadows.

Did you see in the thread about mantras and energy use in this section on energy work where I linked to pictures of all the chakras with their petals and the Sanskrit letters in all the petals? I"ll admit that I had forgotten that the crown chakra has 1000 petals and that the Sanskrit alphabet is not so extensive. I did read, though, that the 50 letters are repeated 20 times in the crown chakra's petals.

When you repeat all the letters of the Sanskrit alphabet, you stimulate all the 7 primary chakras. That is another reason why when you use any Sanskrit mantra or even recite a grocery list in Sanskrit you are activating chakras. Don't you consider working with the 7 primary chakras to be energy work?

Allrighty then.

Allrighty then.

It occurs to me that I should have just suggested you get the files and play them on speakers - as opposed to just headphones - and see what you think. I'm used to people like myself who tend to be a bit on the insensitive side for feeling energy, and you have much better odds of actually feeling something.

So you think the sounds may be stronger when played though speakers> Why do you think this is?

I don't think I've seen that topic before. Does anyone have a link?

Well it's quite debatable to how many petals the crown chakra has. I think 960 is one of the most common guesses. It does make sense that the Sanskrit letters are repeated in the crown chakra as I read somewhere that the chakra is supposed to be the accumulation of the lower chakras. It does make a lot of sense that the Sarashara does contain 1,000 petals. I posted a while ago about the correlation with the ptals and the spinal nerve groups. It's interesting as the petals are also seen as nadis.

So it seems you didn't send the files to me when you sent the email. Do you know that? Are your computer problems still interfering with it?

Can anyone else send this to me? I'll see if I can find a proxy though it's almost impossible. If you can send them to me please PM me and I'll send you my email address. I really do want these audio files. :(

Well I finally managed to find a proxy site that wasn't blocked and also allowed such a large download size. Though Priory has a an evil way doing things. They let you download the file but take small amounts of th data out leaving you with a corrupted file. Basically Priory corrupts.

I'll try sending the files from work tomorrow, on Sunday. It doesn't make sense to me that the files wouldn't upload; usually it is downloads that are the problem.

The reason for using speakers would be so that the frequencies could more directly hit your chakras rather than going into your ears.

(edit)
Trying again, but the files are all okay in my e-mail already. They are in my sent mail. I don't think the problem was on my side. It could be just that AOL addresses are a problem.

I've finally got all the files downloaded. I've been playing them a few times througout the day. I think It'll probably be better to listen to whilst relaxing though.

Good idea. I don't know why I didn't think of that. I could also direct the speaker to my chakras one after the other. I may also play it through a chi generator, though like you, I'm not that sensitive.

So is anyone else here using these files? I'm interested in what others think of it.
