I often have trouble quieting the chatter of my waking mind when trying to relax/meditate whatever, but recently came up with an amusing way of getting rid of the constant babble that plagues me.
i find that i have songs running thru my head alot of the time(i work in a theatre and hear the same songs sung every night, often i wake up and they're the first "sound" in my head)
anyway, when trying to meditate the other night,i came up with my own"space invader" technique-

i simply visualise the actual words in my minds eye-floating on a black back ground, and then have a little space invader ship blow them to pieces from underneath (just like in the old arcade game!!)
i sometimes have to do it 2 or 3 times but it seems to work fine-after you've blown the letters to bits you're left with nothing but the blackness.
maybe not a traditional way of going about it but it works for me!!

just thought i'd share that with you guys... :)

Hi trancing with video games works for me too . From the very first boring and hypnotic b&W table tennis onward, video games can be great ways to enter a trance state .
