Hello!

When I relax.. my attention naturally focuses on my breath. During an exit attempt (ex. climbing the rope) Some of my attention remains on my breathe. Do you this kind of body awareness is serving to keep me too grounded? Does getting out of body normally require losing awareness of the physical?

Thank you!

G'day,

it helps if you can lose awareness of the physical body, but this is not totally necessary to achieve OBE.

You will often continue to be aware of your physical body and of breathing during an OBE. This is a delicate balancing act. Its a bit annoying, but this keeps the body mind connection alive and allows for a memory download connection, so you remember the obe after the event.

The most important thing is to quieten your mind, so there are no thought words during an obe exit. Keeping your focus on your breathing is a good way of doing this.
