View Full Version : Waking repeatedly

Recently I've been able to meditate daily despite my workload, something I'm very happy about. It has been increasing the clarity of my dreams and also my recollection of them, which is also good. However, it seems to have a bad side-effect - I've noticed that the more clear or lucid my dreams are, the more likely I am to come fully awake as the dream ends, or as I'm leaving the dream. If there's a way to stop this waking process and go from dreams back into sleep that would be much better. I don't want to lose my ability to dream clearly or to remember my dreams, but I also want to sleep. If anyone has ideas, please let me know. Thanks! :)

What is bad about awaking from dreams?

I usually go downstairs, record the dream in my journal.

If it is too early, I go back to bed, and wake up rested just the same. If it is close enough to the time I usually get up at, I just get up and feel well-rested.

One "trick" might be to make the following affirmation before you go to sleep: "Regardless of what I experience in dreams and out of body, I will wake up well rested."

Take care,
