I just watched The Truman Show again, looking at it from the perspective of spiritual awakening, and once again I was really moved by how very good it is. This time I was struck by the scene where the technician says, "He's gonna drown, and he doesn't even care..."

The show's creator (i.e., the creator of Truman's reality) is the ego, Truman is, well, the True Man, and the way the ego fights to keep him from the truth, getting more and more desperate, while acknowledging that if Truman really wanted to see the truth, there would be nothing anyone could do to stop him... And the scene where Truman (literally) hits the wall...

What a damned good movie.

Yes, I like that movie. My favorite part is where Jim Carrey realizes the same cars and people go down the street, at the exact same time, every day. It makes him realize the world is being controlled. It can be analogies to a spiritual awakening on earth, because it'd make you realize something is probably behind the earth.
