Two things that seem unrelated-
Whitley's Journal entitled "My Greatest Fear"- if you didn't read it already here it is:

If this is true, then the whole vast theater of UFO sightings, close encounters, crop formations--all of it--could be seen as a sort of military action by the visitors that is designed to circumvent government denial, and create such general belief that they can open the door, as it were, from their side.

and,

Am I the only one that sees a connection?

yeah i saw that about the Sun-UFOs the other day.
very intriguing indeed. if only we could get some hi-res close up shots...

i was also reading something about China preparing some place for first contact... can't remember where i read it tho.. :? and it was most likely just speculation, but i can't help but be hopeful, it feels like the time is drawing near...

come on space-guys... show your faces!! :P the world needs a wake-up call!!!

Maybe they were responding to WS's comments as another way of raising popular belief, a response, beginnings of a dialogue, nice idea. I wonder why they haven't been more obvious yet, its nice to think they care about humanity and don't want to blow our tiny little brains out of our ears. here's my request, ie do a plate spin on big ben at noon.

Maybe they were responding to WS's comments as another way of raising popular belief, a response, beginnings of a dialogue, nice idea. I wonder why they haven't been more obvious yet, Maybe they can't, because not enough of us believe that they are a distinct possibility. Even though the UFO theme is popular, it is not really accepted.

its nice to think they care about humanity and don't want to blow our tiny little brains out of our ears. I don't think it's about 'caring' but about 'being able to manifest in our reality', maybe they're that different.

here's my request, ie do a plate spin on big ben at noon. I bet you that if they did, someone would say that it was a government plot to make people believe in this stuff.

huh yeah. I didnt really think of it like that, a metaphysical necessity as opposed to just being tactful, makes sense though if i think back to a recent experience I had.

Apparently NASA changed explanation for the objects around the sun.
They are now saying that “cosmic rays” hitting the instruments detector was causing these artifacts to show on the images. Then they turned the thing off for 'maintenance' and stopped streaming the images.
Interesting.....

I liked this suggestion:

Our first step should be for our scientific community to take a new and innovative look at the evidence that is already available and being ignored. Wide vision cameras can easily record the coming and going of the visitors in our skies, and statistical models of their activities developed. Serious study of people claiming contact can be undertaken, both physically and mentally. It is possible, for example, to determine by observing brain function whether memories such people believe to be real are more likely to be recollections of real events, or only of things that the witness believes happened. It is also likely that comprehensive physical testing of enough witnesses is going to reveal consistent effects among those who have had contact. From that, a narrative of the experience can be constructed and motives inferred.
