Copy of an announcement that got lost in the shuffle

General Warning:

Spiritual and metaphysical practices of any kind, anything involving deep physical/mental relaxation and meditation, including yoga and attempting astral projection, are not suitable for people with emotional and/or mental instabilities.

However, while books may contain cautions, the use of any book and its content is impossible to police. Even fiction works can cause problems for some.

Take care, Robert Bruce

why this sudden concern ?!

why this sudden concern ?!
It's not sudden. The warning was around on the board for a long time, and it got lost in some database crash or something (we're still not sure where it went or how). When someone realised the warning was no longer there, they found a copy of it and it was reposted. No ulterior motives or nefarious plans, just a simple, standard warning and disclaimer that was meant to be present all along.

I'm curious as to what mental instabilities means. How is the phrase defined? I usually leave category, and my tendency is toward generalities being contrasted against particulars. So now that we are leaving behind categorization of the human individual, and behavior stereotyping (categorization); would you mind giving personal insight into the topic of mental instabilities? I'm being tedious, forgive me?

I have a position to illustrate: If extremes are to be avoided, such as hot versus cold, and subsequently the use of general category toward the description of an individual. That perhaps we realize there is an area toward which pointers are more effective. I liked Aristotle, but Alexander of Macedonia, Alexander the Great? I perceive as a "fresh breeze" which lasted a bit, then not knowing from which it came, when it left after briefly lingering, we knew not where it went. Gordian Knot? Alexanders Sword? The latter being the symbol for Spirit, and responsible for severing the knot of complexity, means what?

I conclude we have the few who struggle and know. Vicissitudes of life only impel their will toward stronger imagination bringing humanity toward higher and nobler realms. Another group also considered the few, well, have a place just as proper as what any who recognize them might consider, relative propriety is as relative propiety does. The third? I could go on here at length, and it would actually be quite interesting. I have a perspective perhaps many have never considered.

He is talking about any type of diagnosed mental illness, regardless of how it's perceived.

Here is a post that expands on the warning. It is my opinion, since I wrote it:

And here is Robert's advice on common fears associated with OBE.
