View Full Version : False awakening?

Hi,

I just picked up Mastering Astral Projection after years of interest in AP/OBE (I bought Astral Dynamics years ago and love it too!). Well over the past week I've been inundating myself with info on the subject to saturate my subconscious with AP info. I've just started day 1 of the program and had an interesting experience last night. From my journal:

"I felt my body leave but thought/felt that I was slammed back down into my physical body. I remember try to keep "out of body" but thought that I couldn't. I thought that I had woken up so I wrote the experience down but in the morning I checked and hadn't. I'm just writing this down now in the morning after really waking up."

Any thoughts on this to help an amateur out?

Thanks

You did very well, S.
One of the things I tell people is to get up when they think they have failed, and see what happens. Occasionally you'll find that instead of 'getting up' you float up, and realize you didn't fail at all. That's why I always advise never to 'roll over and go to sleep' after an attempt.

Thanks for the advice. One more question regarding mobile body awareness: I have no problem moving my awarness to a specific point whether it be my big toe or elbow. When I try, say the exercise of moving awarness from my left big toe to my hip, my awarenss doesn't trace the exact path that I traced with a pen cap. The path is quite a bit larger, like the whole cross section of my leg that I am moving my awarness through at that time, not a pin pointed path. Does this make sense? I'm trying to get it into words. :)

That's how I do it.
