Good point :-)

I noticed that whenever I start focusing less on dreams, for instance, and more on signs in everyday life, signs will become more and more meaningful, while dreams will seem to fade out in comparison. I guess it could also be seen the other way around: when I need to focus more on the physical, then dreams and non-physical experiences fade in the background so that I am led to focus on the physical instead. Chances are, it is probably a complex interaction of both, but either way, there is always something going, there are always lessons to learn, in whatever form they take...

Or rather who's "under the weather."

I also agree on the "main working ground." There may be times when nonphysical events will pick up again and become more pronounced, but in general there's a lot to put into practice in physical reality.

Thanks!

As for groups, that's precisely something I was given to observe in my classes. It's a very interesting phenomenon. The dynamic may change completely depending on who is there and who is not there... Perhaps also depending on the weather, and whether it is a Monday or a Friday

I am glad to hear this.

Groups can be very interesting. The anthroposophic group I've joined some months ago started out giving me a great feeling of flow. Lately the makeup of the group changed several times, and while not as satisfying on an immediate basis, it gives me the chance to determine how the presence and absence of each person shapes the group dynamic.

So, continue having fun with it, I'm sure there's more interesting stuff to come.

Thank you for your insigtful comments on this entry and my other one. I like this point you brought about going through a process to put things in perspective and balance. And your experience does share similarities with mine indeed…

Like you, I consider this experience (and process) to be a very positive one. At first sight, it may seem like a ‘failure’ because it didn’t turn out exactly as expected, because it had some downsides and because it took me some time to realize this positive opportunity as such.

However, as you say, positive reality creation experiences, despite of some possible downsides, fulfill overall what is truly important to us. This rings very true to me as well, and I know that living in this room, just like in your case, fulfilled what was truly important to me.

And perhaps more importantly, through this experience, I know I learned much… That things aren’t always as they seem, for instance, that a positive potential may lie in what is first perceived as negative. I had read and heard such words before of course, but it is thanks to this experience I had back then that I was able to realize more fully their deeper meaning.

Besides, as far as I know, creations in the physical reality are of a temporary nature, while the awareness I gained through this experience (and process) will stay within me always… Carried perhaps, from one lifetime to another… Hidden then, stored in some forgotten drawer for a time, but recalled when needed, like we never completely forget how to ride a bike once we learned, even when it’s been quite a while since the last ride ;)

This actually reminds me of what happened to me in my own apartment search. The first place I visited turned out to be the one I now live in, but back then I could not decide for it. Only later, after getting to know the landlords and them sweetening the deal with renewing some stuff and throwing in a kitchen it turned out to be a good place for me.

Granted, the place has its downsides and needs maintenance of various kinds (right now, my shower is broken) and doesn't have central heating, but it is affordable and homey enough, has decent space and fulfilled all the things ultimately important to me. Comparing it to other places was part of the process of deciding for it as well. And similarly, the decision to live there already saved me a fair deal of money.

Part of the process was putting the place into perspective. Like in your case the deal needed some extras to come into balance. Sometimes the mental body convinces itself to sell itself short, because of a perceived must or should. And sometimes it demands too much. In your case it actually refused the deal in part because of the awareness it was not good enough in some regards, and not knowing how good it really was in other regards. As your landlord added in on one side of the scale, and you realised the real value of what's on the other side of the deal, things came into balance, and that's when it happened for you.

So, in my opinion, you were not merely willful or stubborn. You went of a process that actually brought things into perspective and balance. You may have taken a bit longer, but you got there. It ended in a positive reality creation experience. I would call it a success all over, because sometimes nothing is harder to challenge our preconceptions and nothing harder to reverse than our own previous judgements.

This is wonderful and rings very true. Recognise the effortless ease that unfolds when you actually decide to go with the flow, as opposed when you try to do what seems at first make most sense. In many situations in life there is slot one can fill if one recognises it, and can slip in easily. Sometimes it takes courage, sometimes recognition, and often it needs a change of some kind. Overcoming inhibition can be highly rewarding.

I also liked your approach of not only relying on what seemed to you like an outlandish bet. Considering several options does not necessarily narrow down your ability to create the best outcome, but can actually be a sign of good flexibility of consciousness. The difference is subtle. If no choice seems attractive without having to talk yourself into it, this is the mental body. But when you are naturally drawn to one choice, there is a chance it is of the soul. As discernment grows it becomes increasingly clear what is what.

Congrats!

At the moment, I’m in Canada…and he’s in France. On the outside, it may seem like we’re back to square one, but on the inside, I know this not to be true. I’d say that overall, I’m feeling good about my life now. It is not perfect, and I reckon that unpleasant experiences happen, but I know that good surprises also await in the corner. And I know that I can bring changes too, for we are the artist of our life…It is up to us to craft it so that it pleases us. We may or may not have carte blanche, but it still seems like we have a great freedom and power to do so, perhaps much greather than we think.

For me, being aware of these simple things –things I wasn’t fully aware of back then– changes everything... :)

Yes, everything works fine! I also tested (previewed only) all the other punctuation marks on my keyboard and they all work...

Some of these marks appear kind of weird too on my journal at the moment but since I wrote these entries offline in a Word document, I still have them all and it will be very easy for me to copy and paste everything in order to remove all the strange characters...Especially since on this new board, what I copy and paste keeps all the formatting I used in the Word document (italics, fonts, etc) so it's all good! :)

...Meanwhile, I actually discovered where the English quotations marks were hiding on my keyboard so I won't have to use the «» I seemed to like a lot

As for the è in my nickname,
I couldn't log in at all, no. I even tried copy-pasting my name with the odd character in the login box, but that didn't do the trick either... The next morning, I went online with the intention of posting on the older board about this when I saw that someone had noticed and fixed it... How was I glad!:-D
Sincerely, thank you for taking the time! :-)

Ha! I see you're testing accented letters, and I thought I'd share with you that when the board first transferred your account, the accented e was all kinds of messed up (I don't know if you would even have been able to log in, actually). I noticed it purely by chance and went in and fixed it, but I was a little worried the board wouldn't accept accented letters. Turns out it did, it was just a formatting thing between the two different board systems. So you're poème and not poeme, which is good.
