I didn't want to derail BeeK's thread and made it about REM. I love them! Anyway, I heard that Stipes is leaving the band or that they're planning to break up. Waah! :(

I love them too. They've been one of my favs until 1988 when I bought my first record of them (then the famous 'Document'). Had them once in my signature with this song and the citation which I re-interpreted and connected to some experiences in the AP spectrum, especially the part when I experience Astral Gravity or Exit Blindness: "I've got tar on my feet and I can't see. I love "Losing My Religion."

My favorite song by REM is Everybody Hurts, such a beautiful ballad, it's great to listen to it when you feel blue.

My favourite is "The End of the World". I sing it every time someone comes up with some date by which the world is supposed to end. :)
