Seven steps to eternity: Has anyone read this?

"Seven steps to eternity" by Stephen Turoff was the first spiritual book I read. It tells the story of a WOI soldier who died, and his experiences in the afterlife. He then decides to share his stories with the writer Stephen Turoff.

Has anyone read this? And does anyone find his work convincing? The cover states that he is from england, but I couldn't find anything about him on the web, or at least not someone who looked like him on the back of the book.
The book however left me with a great feeling of comfort. The possibility of my late mother looking down on me... It helps when feeling down.
