the spiritwalker trilogy

For anyone interested in shamanism or OBEs in general the three books by Hank Wesselman are amazing! ( SpiritWalker, MedicineMaker, VisionSeeker) I read all 3 a few years ago and can definitely say that they have indeed affected my belief system. What makes the author so amazing is that unlike Carlos Castaneda, or Michael Harner, the author had all these experiences without the use of psychotropic drugs. This is important to me because as a sceptic I tend to discount experiences if drugs are a factor. Wesselman is an anthropologist ( now a healer) and as such the scientific mind comes into play in his books. He had no idea at all what was happening to him and for a while he thought he was going insane. Has anyone else read these? If so what did you think?
