Fasting and OBE

I have been considering a one to two day water fast to strengthen my energy body and enhance my OBE. Has anyone had any luck with it?

Not an expert here, but my OBE was triggered after a week of extreme diet and some sleep deprivation. I detoxed with only very light foods and herbal teas. I have no doubt diet helps, I am trying to convert to vegetarian. I can't say for sure if two days of water fast will trigger an OBE for you though. Try strong affirmations and target techniques before sleep around the full moon. If you are are athletic I would take at least a day or two of rest before you fast. Good luck!

Fasting is considered to be a good way of detoxing and useful for many shamanic practices, but I don't think this will help trigger projection in itself- I think if you want to force it sleep deprivation may be the way to go- but at the same time I don't think it's a good idea except in very controlled circumstances.
I do think that intent is very important- wanting to do the fasting and meditation and exercises and practices such as affirmation, as said before may help get you in the 'right' 'space' for spiritual fulfillment, projection being one way to do it.

I have been thinking that fasting would make me so hungry that it would only be a distraction from trance work. I find that when I practice on an empty stomach it's all I can think about.

I can see that happening to me too. :D
