Lisi's model heavily relies on the actual existence of the Higgs boson. To be honest I don't think we'll ever observe this mass-mediating boson because it doesn't exist. If CERN or some other organization disproves my hypothesis, then Lisi may be onto something. Nevertheless, the mathematics of this model is elegant and appealing.
