Questions on Major and Minor Chakaras Energy Work

I went to Borders and read a few books on OOBEs and Astral Travel. Each author seems to have a different perspective on energy work.

One book said one should do major chakaras energy work before attempting an OOBE or Astral Travel. The author said to visualize each major chakara opening and allowing the energy to flow.

Another author says it is dangerous to start with the major chakaras. He says one should start energy work with the minor chakaras first.

Could someone tell me if anyone is right or wrong on this or if there is a middle ground. One author says that a projector could do major harm to the body by working the major chakaras first is one isn't used to energy work with the minor chakaras.

Be gentle with yourself when working with your energy body. Work with your major chakras if that feels ok with you. Trust your energy bodys sense of what's right to do at the moment. It can be a problem though if you're mentally imbalanced and start to work on your major chakras because it can trigger a kundalini awakening. And even if you fel ok kundalini can rise and cause problems if one is unprepared. I would suggest to do some chakrabalancing by sending energy back and forth through and around them and make the whole energy body find balance.

But only you know whats best to for you. Be gentle and don't overwork your energy system.

I would suggest that you follow Robert's plan and start with the minor energy system first. Then move to the major chakras, then to OBE attempting. Safest route, no matter what. I speak from experience. This is what can happen when your energy body isn't developed enough to handle spiritual or energy emergencies.

This is silly and I would ignore this completely . Some new age armchair authors publish pulp but that does not make it true . You can develop your own discernment . Close your eyes feel the energy around you and be drawn to truth instead . Ask to be lead to the book which will guide you next time .

We all work alittle differently, or very differently. It might be better to find what works best for you and stick to it. Thats how I go about deciding what to do everyday when I got to the gym. I also apply it to my own practices of course.

I read your tutorial, Aunt Clair...very nice. I especially loved this:
