Amazing! I had a similar experience years ago and I haven't read of anything like it since.
Whereas you observed your two selves I was simply one of the two. In my case I was standing the bathroom of a house I grew up in when the shower curtain flew open and another me said 'Boo!'. We were identical down to a hair. We embraced joyfully slapping each other on the back and then we took off to show 'everybody' we had found each other.
Like I said, similar, but perhaps different....
