Third eye strobe, and then snap!

I had this one morning, I woke up quite early, stayed up for 10 minutes went back to sleep, and i remember I was coming to the end of a dream..... then BAM , it felt like some entity was trying to suck my mind through a straw, that with flashes and noise I naturally resisted and broke out of it,
Q; am I supposed to go with it..? or not.
I didn't know what it was, thought It might have been the vibrations, as I'm just a newbie at all this

I usually find that resistance causes more problems. I usually go with it, but mileage may vary.
