It's been awhile since I initially attempted to OBE, especially since I had security and issues of fear of my own mind. Nothing in this world fears my except my mind lol if that makes sense? it sounds kind of dark. Any tips as I continue to get over that? As well as, I recently reaaally kickstarted my spiritual work. Through yoga especially, and have found some peace and security. Some. I'm nocturnal so attempting anything at night does not help. Today I had the security of my brother and being in a well lit room Anyways!

Background: Today while meditating post yoga-routine I really starting focusing on my third eye and feeling it open. I caught glimpses of images, my eyes started fluttering like they do, and I could feel the connected pathways. I imagined the chakra channel and eventually I saw a portal, and when I focused on it a frequency came to my ears. It startled me and I immediately lost it...
Question: Does anyone here have experience with conscious OBE, & I wonder if this would be conscious, meditative, OBE signs or not? If I can keep calm and hold the pitch and the portal...
I have never been able to attempt it before while in a meditative fully aware state.

Did you read the stickied thread 'your first conscious projection'? all the issues you describe are typical of preprojection symptoms.
