tried to pray in dream and was ejected

I was dreaming the other day - a pretty dull dream that was just me wandering a house that was a combination of every apartment i have lived in. Then i realised i was dreaming, and the walls started to shift and flicker around me. I decided to pray as I felt distant from God I thought he might speak clearly in a dream. Then as i started I was pushed out of the dream and popped awake.

Did gaining lucidity drive you to pray? It's possible that getting lucid is what kicked you out.

I agree with CFTraveler that the lucidity might be what did it. More often than not, I wake up very shortly upon becoming lucid.

Thanks everyone. I'm hoping to keep my dreams calm and unremarkable.

My biggest thing is that I tend to get really excited when I realise I'm dreaming. And that excitement is what wakes me up.
