I must say, it is much easier to listen to than to read. I'm not sure why that is, exactly, but I suspect it's because the original manuscripts are in Russian and the translation is good but a little... I don't know, heavy? Ponderous? But when it's being read aloud, it's much more animated and easier to follow.
The same can be said of Shakespere, too. Well, except the being written in Russian of course. (Everyone knows the original Hamlet was in Klingon.)
