    Re: Astrological influences usage

The most related to spring, blossomming flowers, gardens, growth, and mother Earth beauty in general is Taurus zodiac sign.

If you think of the Earth planet and its richness of nature in general, it has a lot to do with this single zodiac sign. It's a fixed earth sign, which means that it sustains, nourishes and protects its beauty. It is of course not a coincidence that Moon is strong in Taurus, as both are related to nourishment, vegetation and natural growth.

Taurus is possibly most related to forming valuable things, and... manifestation. If you think of magic related to manifestation, especially earth forms (but not in a form of money), Venus is here of special meaning. If you think of increasing physical beauty and attractiveness, or even rejuvenation and keep the results strong and intact, you might start with using the power of Taurus.

There is no more sustainable, durable and reliable sign in the whole zodiac than Taurus. This is where lays its power: if you want something to be ceaseless, it's the best zodiac energy for use for that goal.

    I've been told that

It is not [important] what you have in the birth chart, but what you can use out of that

    Re: Astrological influences usage

It is beneficial to look upon your birth chart and check which planets are dominant / essential. It really does not matter whether they are in the "positive" or "negative" position (by aspects or by placement). I remember one astrologer's discovery: people who were meaningful to the world, such as A. Einstein, had actually difficult charts. It seems almost impossible to have done anything meaningful with only harmonious aspects.

Anyway, the idea is a self-discovery of your biggest potential. Quit the general, superficial beliefs or statements about a certain planet. Do not think about zodiac signs at all. Focus just on the planet itself, its nature and how it relates to yourself and your life. Pick up the one that seems most appealing at the time to you.

This simple approach may reveal much more than a stack of books.

People were trained to learn from books or authorities. It's time to back to discvoer the universe on your own - your own, unique way, unlike any other's.

It is said that the dragon comes from the east, and is most powerful at spring. The dragon is qi energy at its most powerful stage, also known as the "breath of god". This is where we can find lots of analogies between ancient philosophies or religions, particularly the Asian ones.

In the western astrology, the energy coming from the east, starting with the spring equinox, is Aries. It's probably the most powerful, and ready to use directly, energy in the whole zodiac. Starting important events, like global events, like making a total revolution by using viruses etc. in the world, is supported by this cosmic cycle stage at this point.

But don't worry. Use the Aries energy for your benefit. I did, and do. The results tend to be faster (Mars), and stronger, than in any other case. It's a perfect time for empowerment and use of magic (the other zodiac sign that bears similar power, but on the yin side, is also ruled by Mars), as well as new endeavors.

Make also use of the sun this month, it has the super-charging quality.

Most of planets / objects in the sky have twofold nature: they are partially Yang, and partially Yin. The degree to which they are either one, or the other, varies for each of them. For instance, Mars is definitely more Yang, while Saturn is more Yin. There are two exceptions, however: the Moon, which is believed to be purely Yin, and Sun, being purely Yang. Chinese people assigned for these two also the world directions in the Ba-Gua scheme (8-fold scheme): water and fire, respectively. In this philosophy, water is receptive, while fire is creative.

If you look at the Leo zodiac sign, which is ruled by Sun, you may realize how much creativity is involved in it. Leo is a fixed sign, so while having lots of common with the other fire zodiac signs (Aries and Sagittarius), it also works differently: it places focus on a goal and is very determined in achieving it. While you can no doubt sense determination in Aries as well, the latter quickly abandons anything that is not achieved in one shot; it is even more true for the mutable Sagittarius sign. But it is not the case with Leo - not at all. With such a strong focus comes power cumulated in time, which sometimes is mistaken with a 'strong personality', but is an effect of the former.

Sun related energy is very general and very deep. It is also very universal, unlike all the other celestial objects. It can be used in many, many ways, and it seems there are no limitations for it. However, one needs to remember about its core nature: it is a very creative, warming and stable power.

    Re: Astrological influences usage

Speaking of fate... I think that people don't quite understand Saturn, and its corresponding zodiac signs - even astrologers. What I wrote previously about disappointments, fate hanging over someone etc. - I meant mostly Saturn, which often is related to fate. In the ancient astrology it was the slowest and having the biggest impact planet from all, thus considered to be mostly related to our fate.

I heard once some saying stating that not that what we choose decides that much about our life, but that what we reject! This is exactly referring to how Saturn works: what we are able to accept, and what not - thus rejecting it. In fact Saturn is in big part about rejection - or rather, about our decisions when we think we cannot afford something, trying to be as rational and down-to-earth as possible.

The opposite type to the Saturnian is Jupiterean type who makes the optimistic assumptions about everything.

Notice that everyone has its Saturn and Jupiter in his or her birthchart, so everyone gets something from both planets.

The capricorn zodiac sign can be related to the ancient Greek myth about Sisyphus: it's typically a hard work to do. The archetype is however related to the ambition (which is always needed as a motivating aspect), rather than a punishment, as the myth suggests. I would personally relate Saturn to a focused and determined, but patient builder: even if the boulder falls again, and again, and again from the mountain, it never gives up.

Saturn however often brings - thanks to this work - the real winners. Because this planet is about fruition: whenever our efforts are finally rewarded. This is the real meaning of Saturn and its influences, and this is something that is frequently forgotten by the astrologers. Each planet is required, and has its important place in the birth chart (the balanced personality). Thanks to Saturn even the biggest dreams may come finally true and be formed; people don't believe that because they don't understand it. Of course, the way is not easy, so the Saturn's role is (to help us - i.e. give the necessery energies) to pave the way through - sometimes being a tedious task, but finally things are always being built when the effort is put into it. That's the law.

The other word that may give the idea about Saturn is manifestation. It's also worth to note that the central, balancing element in the Chinese 5-elements (wu-xing) system is given to the rules of the saturn planet.

Now it's a good time to take a note how your Saturn and the capricorn zodiac sign are placed in your birth chart. Because it's the winter solstice now (at least at the northern hemisphere)!

I believe that the biggest truth is contained within Saturn's realms. A question of "to be or not to be" - is in fact, answered by the heart and not the overlord.

    Re: Astrological influences usage

Astrologically, the fastest planet in the solar system - is Mercury, and the quickest zodiac sign in the zodiac (ruled by this planet) - is Gemini. They work faster than a blink of an eye - because they relate to the thoughts sphere, the mental sphere: everything is as quick as your thought.

It is not just striking fast. It is perceptible, pointful, agile, flexible, changeable, intelligently adjustable, and knows a lot - more than any other. Not to mention excellent memory access and finding the associations to anything / anyone. Knowledge, contacts, information, and data - might be not a value in themselves, but they lead to many opportunities and possibilities hardly achieved without those. Shortly speaking, Gemini makes things working much better, much faster, and much more intelligently, when used.

Mercury and Gemini, due to its very neutral and adjustable nature, is a perfect addition to any other influence - even to its opposite Sagittarius sign, with which it fights when looking for the essence of things. Consider, for instance, how Aries or Mars work alone: it is a power in action, but not particularly flexible or perceptible. It looks for a "problem" that can be breached - but after several trials it is known to give up and look up for another challenge. Now add the pointful perception, observation and flexibility of Gemini to Aries influence - and you gain much more than a simple sum of the influences: now the power of Mars is modified in the way that it looks for a weak sides of the "opponent", and when finds them, strikes with a lightning speed. Mars alone won't be able to do that.

To say that Aries cannot challenge Capricorn is well known. But that Gemini will not out-think Sagittarius is right. It's not always philosophical - somewhere along the way thought must be pure insight!
