Falling

Everyone I talk to about dreams agrees that they experience dreams of falling.... Is there any significance to these dreams we have where we fall (sometimes not off anything, just dream of falling out of space), or are these dreams of falling just something normal (like a mental reflex) ?

Falling dreams are where the astral body makes a quick drop (the falling sensation) and than re-connects with the physical body (the sudden jerk).
