The Center, Right and Left Channels

I'm posting this as I think it is as unique to the Taoist/Neigong energy practices as the Kundalini circuit is to the Indian practicses.

The Center Channel is the center of your being, and runs down directly from Crown to perineum, at the exact center axis of your body:



It is not the spine. The spine is another energy circuit ("Thrusting Vessel") that interconnects with the Center Channel all the way down.

The Center Channel penetrates all the three Dantians. A Center Channel connection can be found in the center of each bone, along the bones' axis.

It is the first thing formed at your birth, and everything grows around it. It is there before the acupuncture meridians, which develop later. This has led to the these three Channels to be considered "Pre-Birth" and the meridian system to be "Post-Birth", though that is not entirely accurate.

On the left and right body side are the Left and Right Channels respectively. These act in the same way as the Center Channel in a lesser way for their body sides. Energy can be fed into the Center Channel from the side channels and vice versa.

There are also connections to these on the left/right side of every bone of your body.



These parts of the energy anatomy have proven to me to be extremely important, and can be "manipulated" in deep Qigong/Neigong as for example in the "Gods playing in the Clouds" movement/energy work set, which I personally feel is of extreme transformatory power - it is for me ever since I took it up a short while ago.

The Taoist Neigong (Nei Gong - "Inner Work") I practise now for some time works it all - the 12 primary channels / meridians, the front/back vessels (Small Circulation and Grand Circulation), the thrusting vessel (spine) and these three ultimate Channels in different exercise sets.

It has been very beneficial to me, so maybe this knowledge gets recognised by someone from their own, different line of energy work, and helps unearth some things for their own.

Fantastic pictures, Oliver! I believe that the left and right channel are actually projections of the converging pathways that go from the hemispheres and unite at the thalamus and pineal gland.

This route is regulated by the temporal lobes and undrerlying lymbic structures that project on the body at the right and left side of the midriff.

Similarly, the central channel is the projection of the brain's neuraxis.
