I am reading a book by The Dog Whisperer, Cesar Milan, who believes animals react to the energy we project. He advises to always project a calm assertive energy as dogs will instictively trust this and see you as pack leader. As we tend to be relaxed while doing energy I would think it makes sense that animals would be attracted to what they sense and want to be close.
