Re: The Devil and A Crucifix

What does it mean to you?
    A few things to consider:
In christian mythology the devil is either considered the enemy of Jesus, or the enemy of man. It also symbolizes the enemy of God but this is relatively recent.
So what does he symbolize to you?
The crucifix has a couple of meanings, depending on your religious upbringing- it can mean protection against the forces of evil, and it can mean guilt. It also can mean a tool of ascension. What does it mean to you?
Giving the devil a crucifix (was it a catholic crucifix, or a protestant one?[with Jesus or without Jesus]? can mean a number of things- 'transmuting your inner devil', giving up the fight (which was bigger, Jesus or the devil? Is there a fight?)- once again, what does the metal silver symbolize? In some traditions it can be purification (the werewolf could only be killed by silver bullets), it can mean life (the silver cord, the silver vessel, etc.).
It can be balance- you are symbolically balancing the negative and positive aspects of yourselves. What happens next?
    What do you think?

'transmuting your inner devil' Interesting CFT. i like that. as i don't buy religion
there is one more thing I remember though...I took it off my silver ring / the ring was then miraculously binded with something by something I did not see, then the binding merged into the ring before my eyes and turned to a silver serpentine pattern. This is very symbolic stuff to a tee

It was a very nerve racking dream I'll add, meeting your inner devil. I've never done this before. No wonder I was S*** scared.

What is a ring represent? Just a plain old silver ring. I don't wear jewelry, absolutley none. I have no need for it and it means nothing to me, I am not married either, but it was on my left wedding or middle finger...

I love deep symbolism dreams but the plain ring is strange to me

A ring? The Ourobouros- Serpent eating itself. Eternity, even Kundalini, by some sources (right off the top of my pointy little head).
