Directly targetting the center channel (sushumna)

I am trying to directly target the center channel using the center channel bounce from "Energy Work" which is described on page 72 (off the top of my head).

Today was my first day trying.

It is tricky. I need some helping trying to find the center channel.

I know how it is supposed to feel like based on the description in the beginning part of the book.

Vase breathing an tummo are used to bring the energy into the central channel, but once Kundalini is active the important thing is to withdraw from the physical senses. Pratyahara. When your attention is directed outward your energy goes into ida and pingala. When your energy is turned inward it flows through shushumna. You can do this to an extent in meditation or through self-hypnosis, and you can do it far more deeply in dreamless sleep. Try a nice delta binaural.

I should try for full trance next time.

    I did try vase breathing.

Well it was my first time.....with further practice I should be able to master it.

why do I get the feeling I am going where only a few have gone before?

The sushumna IS the holiest real estate in the universe

People do it all the time, even without meditation or energy work. There is a vast difference between putting your attention on the surface of shushumna and experiencing the core. It takes mastering a technique like vase breathing to make the energy actually go into shushumna.

"Energy Work" seems to say you can target the inner portion of the center channel via NEW techniques, rather than relying on vase breathing.

The core is suppose to feel electric, while the outer surface feels magnetic, again according to "Energy Work"

The few times I've experienced the inside, it just felt nice, and silent.

As more people do it, going into shushumna is probably getting easier than it used to be. I don't happen to have the book Energy Work yet. I certainly won't complain about it being less rare than it used to be.

In "Bliss of Inner Fire" it says that vase breathing is not absolutely essential (page 126). The awareness at the specific points is most important, which is the same as tactile imaging methods.

Dropping something that is helpful when it is easier than the main task, because it is too difficult, is never a good sign.
