Divination

Is anyone familiar with using pendulums for divination? I've read up on the subject and a lot of people use pendulums as dowsing rods. In fact they even have a union in France, or so I'm told. It's like having your subconscious guide your pk in a way that makes it easier to read the information that your subconscious has. There are plenty of stories and case histories about people using them in person or with maps, sometimes even to locate missing people or diagnose tricky diseases. Any thoughts? It's been a while but I might start pursuing it again.

Pendulums works for all kinds of questions, including divination. The tricky part about them is that the questions need to be very precise without any room for misinterpretation. Cross checking your 'answers' is a necessity. Its like the old asking a genie for wishes, its what you say not what you meant. Also it gives a limited set of answers, mostly yes, no, and maybe. Many things are not so easy to frame n those terms.

Example:
Q: Will I win a million dollars if I go tomorrow to the casino and play the $1 slot machines with 3 dollars on each pull for at least an hour?
A: Yes.

It all seems good but perhaps you get the million because you were run down in the casino parking lot after playing the slots and are paralyzed for life. The medical bills will be $3,000,000 but the casino's liability only covers $1,000,000 and the driver is penniless and uninsured.

So, while the answer is 'true', its probably not what you meant.

However, for simple things like are may main set of car keys in the living room right now, it will likely be of use as this can be fairly well pinned down with a yes/no question.

I was never good with a pedulum. I could get it to move; no problem at all. But the answers always came out to be whatever I expected or had in the back of my mind.

When it occured to me I was making it move based on my thoughts I tested it. I'd think move back and forth and it would. I'd think move side to side and it would. I'd think move in a clockwise circle... I'd tell it to stop and it immediately would. See what I mean?

Maybe my personality is too strong. There never seemed to be any objective answers.

I never needed help knowing what I already know, so I gave up on the pendulum.

The subconcious doesnt guide your PK to give you the answer from the pendulum. When your holding it, your subconcious will move your arm (though you dont realize it) in the way with the right answer.

I've never had any kind of regular or helpful results from a pendulum. I don't actually need to use one in order to "hear" my own subconscious. It talks to me in myriad ways already. The pendulum is just a pretty object (I have a clear quartz one) that I enjoy holding and playing with. It doesn't tell me anything (I had the same experience with tarot cards, too).
